I’ve actually thought about buying most of these items but couldn’t justify the price 😂. I bought an LV iPhone case and sold it shortly after. It’s just not worth it. I love my bags though. I have 3 slgs and LV luggage tags and no luxury wallets + my favorite pair of Chanel sunglasses that I wear almost daily.
Very good advise! You have the most untoxic videos amongst some of the youtubers out there. Can't stand some of them who display their 20 slg, 80 handbags, weekly shopping and unboxing
Regarding skincare, one’s money is better spent on medical grade skincare products vs luxury skincare products. You’ll definitely notice the difference!👍🏻😊
Coco Chen Your dermatologist could provide you with some good recommendations for products & outlets for purchasing, including their offices & even their affiliated aesthetics centers who often carry those products as well.
@@ColourfulNoir Right, I actually have sensitive skin and the fragrance in most skin care makes my skin irritated. My allergist like that I use Cerave and I have some active ingredients I add like retinol. It's all very cheap.
Agree on this list especially the slgs. I have like 5 total and nothing repeats. I can’t be bothered switching a million things out and they are so expensive for what they cost
Eileen, absolutely love how you carry yourself as an elegant and eloquent lady, your sensible, balanced and not excessive way of looking at luxury goods and life and your beautiful and classy style and curated collection! Really enjoy watching your videos whereas I'm a bit tired of some other YT who seem to just keep buying and buying just to show new products to feed their TH-cam content. 👍
That’s what happened to a friend of mine. She had to check her Louis Vuitton Monogram bag because she had too many bags and someone stole it, she had other designer pieces in that bag too. She works for the airlines so she knew better. She received a payout from the airline of what her items were worth.
I totally agree with you in every point. I was starting to make the mistake of buying slg and charms but restrained myself on time 🙌🏽. Blessings to you!!
So many good points, I think you talk about a lot of things many other you tubers don’t. I also agree with someone else’s comment about your channel being the least toxic! I’m so tired of watching people with a so many bags and accessories. I do have to say though, I love my costume jewelry. I don’t have a lot but I do have a good small collection. For those pieces I no longer loved, I sold them to a consignment shop and recovered 80-90% of my money so I do not regret them. However, I am learning to enjoy my current “curated” costume jewelry and don’t plan on purchasing anymore 🙂
Hi Erin, I think it's totally fine to have a small collection of costume jewelry! I think it's really all about balance and it seems you've hit that point. Enjoy them in good healthy my dear xx
I couldn’t agree more on luxury skincare. I’ve spent thousands the last decade on skincare. I finally decided to see a dermatologist and now I use Cerave products as well as the topical medication she prescribed me! My skin has never looked better and my bank account is happier.
I absolutely agree with all categories! Especially with the luxury t-shirts! I never understood why people pay so much money on a plain and often tacky looking t-shirt...🤦🏻♀️
Agree 100% about the shoes! I just received a pair of Prada pumps that I've been debating on returning because they are just not the exact right fit, thanks for the motivation to return them! I'm considering a pair of Prada platform leather sandals instead for formal events, just to be comfortable... I hate wearing heels, life is too short for hurting feet! I also agree about skincare, and that's a great point about jewelry, it makes a lot more sense to invest in diamonds and gold than to spend that money on a brand name.
Eileen I agree with you on all of these items. So much money can be wasted on these things. I only have one luxury slg and it’s a zippy wallet from LV. The only other slgs I’m considering buying are a card holder and an LV mini pochette if I can ever get my hands on one. I bought a cute bag charm on Amazon and it was only about $15. I think with all the money you can spend on these items you could buy a beautiful bag instead that you love for a lifetime. As always you give us great advice. Thank you😊❤️🙏
I have a cardholder (YSL) and the mini pochette). I 100% recommend the cardholder but the mini pochette is more of a frill. I love mine but i don't consider it essential to my collection. I think the normal pochette is a much better value for money as its multipurpose. When you decide to get the mini pochette, stalk the website at odd hours (1am-7am) and you can usually get lucky within a couple weeks.
I think the category which resonated the most with me is shoes: I used be obsessed with shoes when I was in my 20s, some of which I could barely stand up in! I visited a Podiatrist way back as my feet hurt so badly; he sarcastically informed me that in later life I would suffer majorly with back issues if I continued wearing in stupid designer shoes. As one does at that age, I thought to myself: idiot...what does he know?? Well folks....it transpires that he knew an awful lot. I bitterly regret not listening to him: I have suffered with back issues for years and cannot walk in high heels any longer. If anyone wants to see what it feels like, check out the episode of 'The IT Crowd' where Jen buys a pair of designer shoes that are not in her size, as she is desperate to have them....haha! And....even Victoria Beckham wears flats now, which is something she swore she would never do! Have a good day everyone xx
Oh dear JayJay, I hope the bad pain is not troubling you anymore! It's so true though, the pain we women go through to look good is many times not worth it xx
My cousin is a Podiatrist and he told me the same thing. Also shoes without support like Vans and Converse aren’t good either. I always wear flats or sometimes low wedges on special occasions. I know a lot of people think Birkenstocks are ugly but I love them for every day wear.
Same. I am 62, I don't have back issues thankfully, though I sprained my ankle so severely, that I ended up in the ER and it was two years before I could exercise/walk without pain. I was wearing 2" wedges and ankle turned on a metal incline connector between a breezeway and the main hall. Now I wear Chanel sneakers (love) and Mary Janes with 3/4" height max. Be careful on the cheap end; those wedges were $100 run-of-the-mill items. Your feet deserve a quality, well supportive shoe, and cheap does not necessarily mean "as good."
No complaints from me on your 10 choices. People who buy these luxury items, it seems once a month, appear to be trying to fill a void in their lives that will never be filled by these pricey items. Although, I did plan to buy a pair of Chanel flats this summer until this lockdown happened.
One thing I learnt from buying luxury over the last decade is that, excessiveness doesn't make me happy. However, the definition of excessive might differ for everyone. My collection is quite modest compared to a lot of full time bloggers, but it might seem excessive to a lot of people. I truly believe is everything is getting used regularly, that's the nice sweet spot for us xx
Colourful Noir Hi. Wasn't saying it to be negative, besides you're one of the very few that don't buy something every month or week. One reason I watch your channel is you give common sense advice and items are not everything.
Totally agree on your point of view! Really enjoy watching your video!💛 I once was obsessed on buying SLG and designer costume jewellery, as I love their design pretty much. But through time, I realized I actually don't need so many of the SLGs. While for the jewellery, the quality just don't worth the price... Now I would rather save up for better quality jewellery which made out of real gemstone, diamond, pearl, gold etc. Thanks for this video!💖
Just discovered your channel yesterday. I really like the way you get straight to the point. Totally agree with your list. I started going down this road of buying too many SLGs just to “try out” a brand, and I will stop now! Thanks for the reminder!
Glad you found my video relatable 😊 I did the same! I got the LV mini pochette in the Damier Ebene, which allowed me to 'test' out the material before buying the LV totally and Speedy B in the same canvas xx
I agree with everything you said, when buying RTW (if you are interested in RTW) buying jeans, jumpers, skirts etc are more worth it than the t-shirts. You totally hit the nail of SLGS, I have 3 card holders and 1 wallet and all I want to add to my SLG collection is a key holder, 1 more card holder and a pochette to use as a catch all. I love luxury shoes however, whether they are comfortable or not is up for debate.
Excellent advice and I agree with all of them, with one little modification. I do love my trendy pieces but I only buy them in contemporary brands. They still look fantastic but when they go out of style I have spent around 10-20% of the cost of a designer version. The one I most strongly agree with is costume jewellery. You and Elle Florence are the only TH-camrs I know who see that fine jewellery will last a lifetime and is far more practical to spend your money on. So many TH-camrs say that, as an example, they love pearls and will go and spend a thousand dollars or more on Chanel or Gucci pearl earrings, which are fakes set some miscellaneous “metal.” The amount that they are spending on what is in effect junk will actually get you a piece containing the Rolls Royce of cultured pearls, South Sea, set in 18ct gold, if you know where to look. So this whole, you must have designer costume jewellery thing is inexplicable to me. I am not into bag charms either, but one I do really like is the Hermes glove holder. They make a pretty charm but are actually very functional as I love leather gloves and wear them a lot in winter and they don’t fit into a lot of my bags. Even when they do it’s a pain to have to open the bag every time I put them on or take them off.
I agree with all the categories except the one with the Celine luggage but cos I have had mine for 7 years now and still use it very often. It’s a classic for me
I agree to most of your luxury items one do not need but not on Camera bag. Camera bag is not just meant for camera. It can be a handbag for a night out (i mean an informal dinner or just for a drink) or any outing that one do not need to carry so much but yet fit certain amount as compared to those wallet on chain that can only fit a hp if the hp is not too big and one or two more items only depending on what the person wants to carry.
Love this list! I definitely agree with a number of the things you mention, particularly SLGs and trendy bags. I have sold several SLGs that I haven’t worn in years, even though I still love the look of them. Same goes for a few trendy bags that no longer reflect my style and are no longer in trend. Uh, but, I love me some luxury costume jewelry, particularly Chanel, lol. I absolutely loooove vintage Chanel costume jewelry. I gain tons of pleasure from the history of pieces from the 50s through the 90s. I do agree with you that the price of new costume jewelry pieces are over priced, to a degree. The fact that Chanel pieces from 40 years ago look just as stylish now makes me a bit more comfortable buying the newer Chanel pieces because I will have them in my collection and wear them forever, as will future generations in my family. But, I am also investing in fine jewelry ( local shops and luxury designer), so I will have a well rounded collection. All 10 things on your list are still great advice! Thank you for another FAB video!
Thank you for sharing! Although I'm not into Chanel costume jewelry, they do keep their prices pretty well! I've just let go of the only Chanel earrings in my collection and they went at really decent prices xx
I agree. I have a few Louis Vuitton items like agendas & slgs & they’re only the ones I actually need/use on a daily basis like my 6 key ring holder (holds all of my daily use keys) & my key pouch (holds my daily cards & clips onto my car key), etc. I’d rather buy luxury staple pieces that I’d regularly use rather than buying “show” pieces. ❤️❤️❤️
What a wonderful video! I completely agree. Regarding costume jewelry, in my twenties I was buying quality affordable pieces to accessorize my outfits. I also own a few fine jewelry pieces. I was very tempted to try high end costume jewelry but could never justify the price given the bad reviews. I resisted for years till I decided to try for myself or I would keep thinking about them. I bought a pair of Chanel classic earrings and a brooch. I would love to buy one classic necklace. I know they are not made of precious materials so I treat them “nicely”. They are the last to go on and first off! Some costume pieces are classic and representative of the designer house, and I feel it is ok to buy them if you don’t go crazy and if you take care of them. But I agree that never spend a fortune on them, a small collection is more than enough
I do agree! I have 2 Chanel brooches too, which I find very versatile for styling. I think as long as we don't spend a fortune and make them our core pieces, its perfectly fine to enjoy costume jewelry! xx
I agree the most about cosmetics, the least probably about SLG's, but maybe it's my personal thing- I love moving back and forth from one cardholder/wallet to another from my collection depending on the bag I choose for the day and mood (I get bored of using same SLGs)
I agree about the SLGs. I keep wanting this YSL small pouch but I already have a Chanel one. There is no point in having a second SLG that serves the same purpose as the one I already have.
this is a very sensible video , economical , people buy because they want to be seen . Some copies are even a good buy as the first grade quality cost a fraction of it , its still functional which is my main objectives that i buy stuff .
I just chanced upon your videos and I was watching one after another. Your voice is so nice and you explain your videos so well. I like this video as hits my thoughts as I have regretted some purchases during this pandemic as online shopping is so tempting and now I’m trying to sell some...to invest in just one or two main items...love your Hermes video too.. hope you celebrate my birthday next year with an entry level bag. The item(s) I agree is on the majority luggage, designer trends, slgs and skin care (diet and exercise also plays a part)..I don’t really have one that I disagree so I think you definitely did a good list! 😊 now going your next video..
I completely agree with everything discussed, especially slg’s! I purchased my Chanel classic flap wallet about 2 years ago and it’s the only wallet I use. I absolutely love it
I agree. Some luxury items are not worth one’s resources. I agree that luxury tech accessories and luxury luggage pieces are a huge waste of money. However, I heart the Chanel stud earrings. I cannot convince myself to purchase a pair for the reasons you mentioned in your video, but I wish someone would gift me a pair.
You sound like a very rational shopper for sure! If you absolutely love those Chanel earrings then I say go for them! You'd probably wear them a lot to make them worth the money xx
I agree! I’ll add designer gowns/suits for special occasions to this list. I think it’s terribly wasteful to spend thousands of dollars on an outfit you will most likely only wear once. Renting or re-styling something from your own wardrobe is much more sustainable and stress-free.
Colourful Noir Hey, sorry I didn’t see this until now. I’ve rented from Rent The Runway before. Unfortunately, they only ship within the US but I’m sure there’s a similar service for the UK.
Love this video, makes so much sense, couldn’t agree more about the luggage &/ or anything you carry through a commercial airport. If you add up the amount most people spend on excessive SLG’s, bag charms & uncomfortable shoes they never wear, they could have bought multiple actual bags &/ or quality wardrobe staples. I would prefer to “complete” my basic handbag (& quality staple wardrobe items) collection before I start buying SLG’s. I’ve always purchased the most expensive item on my wish list first, & then worked back from there. I only have 2 designer wallets, but I have a reasonable collection of classic handbags, comfortable shoes, staple clothing items & coats. I also have very few regrets.
Totally agree on all the items! I especially don't get luxury price tags on goods made from inexpensive materials, like costume jewelry, t shirts, and rattan bags.
I totally agree with everything, except I do love my 2 different Hermes twillies as purse accessories that I can use on my dark navy Kelly. They give it a different look, and I know they also protect the handle from my hand oils. :)
I agree with you on all the categories. Especially the costume jewelry. I can’t believe the prices on them. Especially the Chanel pearl necklaces! I only wear fine jewelry. I have a mixture of designers and non-designers items.
Wow, you are absolutely right on all counts. People get carried away on things they go go without, and probably invest in more sustainable stuff. New subscriber!
Yes very true I don’t buy trending pieces just for the sake to have it. I only buy want I really need and I know I’m gonna use it . Your right also about the small leather good, me myself I only have wallet ( big / small which has coin compartment) then key wallet. That’s all you don’t need to buy each brand with the same size, well that’s my opinion.
I agree with everything you're saying. I also feel the same way about high end jewellery brands such as Cartier. You can get fare better quality gold pieces at a local jeweller.
Great advice! I use samsonite suitcases for many years and they are still in good condition. My dermatologist recommends me to use drug store skin care products and they work really well for me🙌🏼
I agree with everything you said except that I’m not sure what is considered “excessive” SLGs. 🤔 I don’t think mine is excessive, but just counted and found out that I have 15 (card holders, key pouches, wallets, and pochettes)! 😱 Should I downsize? But I love them all!
You are so right for the suitcase 😔 I regret I bought the LV monogram cabin suitcase. I use it 2 or 3 times a year. With this money I could buy a beautiful lv or Dior leather bag.
@colourful Noir i totally agree with every word ! You’re such a diva reasonable fashion and I found it more classy than a blind diva fashion ! Also I think the same way and have always selected the luxury items that worth money ! Keep going on your videos are stunning !
Hi Eileen, thanks for sharing, I have stopped buying luxury shoes, as it is quite a chore maintaining their soles and heels. I love kitten heels, however this kind of heels always get trapped in uneven grounds, tiny potholes. And sometimes u need a break-in period for luxury shoes for some designs, which is a no-no for me. Therefore, I'm into Melissa jelly shoes only, pointy toes and flats. I do not have to worry about maintaining the soles, heels and break-in.
Totally your opinion on uncomfortable shoes/sneakers/high heels. I bought B23 Dior sneaker and I have sold it because when I worn it about more 2 hours I felt hurt. And It was not a leather... it made by PVC.. so the price is too hype.
Hi Eileen, I completely agree on all except the card holders. I have a weakness for them... the YSL card holders are stunning, am still using my cheep travel suitcase after 10years. Eileen what are your thoughts on Chanel and LV price increase? Please make a video of what you think
I switched my cards between different cardholders until I misplaced my ysl one. Its gone along with my personal belongings n I was really sad. Its still better to have everything in 1 wallet. I buy more than 1 cardholders as collectibles n leave them in my wardrobe as "showpiece". I do not suggest switching around cardholders unless one is very careful.
Hi Eileen! Love all your videos. They are all so informative and sincere. I agree with you about luxury beach bags and bag charms. I also agree about having too many SLGs even though they are more affordable than bags. I myself have only one: the LV Pochette Accessoire. However, I use it as a mini crossbody bag instead since I've added a long strap to it for more versatility. I do want to acquire one or two more SLGs though to use as a catchall and the other as a cardholder. What do you recommend?
🤗 Great video as always! I agree with you actually on all the points you've stated. The only thing: I also have a soft spot for designer slgs...but as you mentioned, I also set me the rule: don't multiply! I have a compact wallet, so I don't need a second one! I am unsure about designer footwear in general. I know, a lot of people love them, but I don't have the financial possibilities or maybe I can't justify such a splurge for items with whom you WALK on the STREET! 😱😅 I love love love the Chanel Espedrilles, but I go with dupes instead bc I know how I treat my shoes...
I totally agree with you regarding expensive cosmetic when you have acne you have to go to see a doctor get proper treatment expensive cosmetics doing nothing. waist of money.
All of the points are great! Thank you. Btw, what necklace are you wearing? It’s so dainty and cute. I’ve seen it on some others and it looks like it’s from LV but I’m not sure what it’s called.
If you absolutely love the Dior Saddle, I think that's the bag for you! I still buy 'trendy' luxury bags but only if I love the bags for what they are, and not what the trends suggest I should have. Enjoy it in the best of health 💛
Agree with so many of them! But curious on what you think about Hermès bracelets like the cdc or Kelly double tour? I really love the look of them but the fact that it is costume jewelry at a hefty price always holds me back.
I have a serious soft spot for Hermes leather bracelets! But in their defence, their pieces are gold plated and the craftsmanship is impeccable, like their handbags. However I will not suggest having a massive collection of them either xx
Everything you said is true and resonate with my philosophy when it comes to luxury items . I would also add a tip : when it comes to cosmetics, experiment with drugstore/mid range before spending on brands name for example : I got lipstick from ester lauder and givenchy .I found the same color with revlon which happens to be moisturizing but also last just like the lux brands ($$$ vs $) . When it comes to outwear like trench 🧥 or blazer , is like to say there are always a mid range with a comparable quality to designers so before spending $2k on a balmain blazer and fit in the #luxlook it’s better to study what reflects your true style and go for an item you won’t resent over years same goes for certains shoes that can be universally acclaimed but not comfortable with you . Thank for spreading awareness and commun sense .🌹😘. You are delightful beautiful and your soft makeup is a wonderful signature style. What is your opinion on the Cartier love normal vs small. How will you compare it to the van cleef perlee signature bracelet
I love the Cartier normal more for some reason, maybe because I'm not into stacking my pieces. As with the VCA perlee signature bracelets, I think they might look a bit too feminine for my liking xx
I highly agree about costume jewellery. I don't think I'm going to spend any amount on cheap metals with precious metal plating and crystal. I like to go to pawnshop and buy jewellery there. I like wallets so I somewhat disagree owning SLG
Don't try Omorovicza skincare unless you are willing to spend the money, because you will never want to use anything else, especially if you have skin issues. I have been caring for my skin since age 9 (I am 62), and this is by far the best line available. There is a reason it is the top spa line in the world.
I am having a hard time finding a business card holder that is large enough to hold my business cards, my husband's and kids' business cards and have room to put the business cards of people I meet at networking events. Can anyone recommend anything? Or am I looking for something that doesn't exist and I should resign myself to carrying two or three?
I think another item I think we should not splurge on is part of the SLG section-planner inserts! It is absurd to buy paper at such an extravagant price.
Do you agree or disagree with any of these items I mentioned? xx
yesss.^_^
Totally agree! Makes very practical and sensible sense! 👍🏻
I’ve actually thought about buying most of these items but couldn’t justify the price 😂. I bought an LV iPhone case and sold it shortly after. It’s just not worth it. I love my bags though. Agree especially designer jewelry those do not hold their value like precious metals and diamonds

Totally agree on your point of view! Really enjoy watching your video!💛
I once was obsessed on buying SLG and designer costume jewellery, as I love their design pretty much. But through time, I realized I actually don't need so many of the SLGs. While for the jewellery, the quality just don't worth the price... Now I would rather save up for better quality jewellery which made out of real gemstone, diamond, pearl, gold etc.
Thanks for this video!💖
I'm so happy this video could resonate with so many people. Thank you for your sweet words! xx
So glad you found my video relatable 💛 do come back for more 😇
I bought a pair of too-small Gucci heels. I kept thinking they would stretch!
Might be time to sell xx
Hi Suzanne, I must look into the Hermes glove holder, it sounds like a fantastic little item! Glad you liked the video xx
💛
I'm all about cost per wear too for my luxury items 💛
I couldn't a gree more, you're one of the best youtuber tell people saving money but still enjoy on luxury in smart way
Not just buy and buy ❤❤
Hi Mena, it truly means a lot to have such positive feedback, thank you so much xx
@@ColourfulNoir your welcome keeping the great work. Big fan 🥰😘😘
Thank you for your feedback! It's always lovely to hear everyone's opinion on luxury 😇
Everything you have said is completely right, I love your videos so much, I could listen to you all day xx
Thank you so much! It really means a lot xx
I agree about the SLGs. I keep wanting this YSL small pouch but I already have a Chanel one. There is no point in having a second SLG that serves the same purpose as the one I already have.
Glad you liked my content! 💛
this is a very sensible video , economical , people buy because they want to be seen .
Thank you so much Maria! It really brightens up my day to see such positive feedback, thank you xx
I completely agree with everything discussed, especially slg’s! I purchased my Chanel classic flap wallet about 2 years ago and it’s the only wallet I use. I absolutely love it
Chanel small leather goods are absolutely beautiful, enjoy it xx
I purchased my small Chanel wallet back in 2008. I still carry it everyday. I have other wallets, but I enjoy using this one. ☺️
Thank You...Great Video the one I agree with the most is trying to buy all the accessories for the one bag you have
Glad it was helpful!xx
I've actually never come across a renting service for luxury items in the UK. Have you tried it yourself?xx
Hi Heidi, thank you so much for sharing! I love hearing about other people's shopping journey and you definitely sound like a very rational shopper xx
Totally agree on all the items! I especially don't get luxury price tags on goods made from inexpensive materials, like costume jewelry, t shirts, and rattan bags.
Glad you found my video relatable! Thank you for your support xx
What you say is all so true. I need to be more selective on my future purchases and really need to downsize.
Hi Lilly, thank you! xx
Agree! Especially, regarding trendy items.
💛
I totally agree with everything, except I do love my 2 different Hermes twillies as purse accessories that I can use on my dark navy Kelly. They give it a different look, and I know they also protect the handle from my hand oils. :)
I love my twillies too! I only have one for each bag and I agree with you they are super useful in protecting the handles xx
You made some really great thought provoking points. It's certainly given me food for thought and how I spend my money 💖
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching xx
Thanks for sharing, I agree most of your advices. I will think more before buying my next luxury item. It is not easy, but I will try.
Best of luck Nelly! I'm sure you'll do great xx
I agree with you on all the categories. Especially the costume jewelry. I can’t believe the prices on them. Especially the Chanel pearl necklaces! I only wear fine jewelry. I have a mixture of designers and non-designers items.
I think the Chanel necklaces easily go over £1000 even for the entrance level pieces. Not for me for sure 😬
Wow, you are absolutely right on all counts. People get carried away on things they go go without, and probably invest in more sustainable stuff. New subscriber!
Really happy to welcome you to my YT family xx
Right on point again Ms. Eileen. 👍 I totally agree with you 100%. Not all luxury items are worth buying like all the items you mentioned here. 👍👍👍
Thank you Celeste! xx
Your voice is indeed a music to my ear. 🥰 Content is useful and educational, I can’t agree more.👍🏼❤️
Thank you so much 😊
Great points! I’m just starting out and need reminders like this. Also, your voice is very soothing to listen to. 💕
Hi Megan, thank you so much!xx
i totally agreed!! i had purchased nearly $2500 for just the heels.and Big mistake is CAN’T WEAR BECAUSE IT HURT MY FEET..Big Big mistakes ever!!!
That does sound like one painful mistake my dear. Well we all learnt from our past for sure xx
Absolutely agree 😇
Loved this video. You have such a great perspective on things. I appreciate the wisdom!
I appreciate that! Thank you xx
I agree with everything you're saying. I also feel the same way about high end jewellery brands such as Cartier. You can get fare better quality gold pieces at a local jeweller.
Hi, I agree in a way because I'm now more open to local jewellers too, especially if I'm buying diamond pieces without too much design xx
Very refreshing to watch. I have loved watching your videos. Please where do you buy your blithe treatment in the UK?
Hi, I previously ordered from Lookfantastic but I don't think they stock them anymore. I now order from Yesstyle xx
@@ColourfulNoir Thank you for replying.
I agree with everything on your list especially the bag charms and SLG... great video , TFS
Thank you so much 🤗xx
Great advice! I use samsonite suitcases for many years and they are still in good condition. My dermatologist recommends me to use drug store skin care products and they work really well for me🙌🏼
Hi Renee, glad you agreed! xx
I agree with everything you said except that I’m not sure what is considered “excessive” SLGs. 🤔 I don’t think mine is excessive, but just counted and found out that I have 15 (card holders, key pouches, wallets, and pochettes)! 😱 Should I downsize? But I love them all!
I think if you use them all then keep them all and enjoy them in good health xx
your videos are the best luxury ones on youtube, it's a plaesure to hear you intelligent thoughts!
Wow, thank you!xx
You are so right for the suitcase 😔 I regret I bought the LV monogram cabin suitcase. I use it 2 or 3 times a year. With this money I could buy a beautiful lv or Dior leather bag.
Totally agree with your opinions. Thank you for sharing. You are my role model.
Thank you so much, it really means a lot xx
Hi Eileen! Your voice is beautiful & soothing! I agree w/ all of your selection but especially designer costume jewelry!
Thank you so much!xx
@colourful Noir i totally agree with every word ! You’re such a diva reasonable fashion and I found it more classy than a blind diva fashion ! Also I think the same way and have always selected the luxury items that worth money ! Keep going on your videos are stunning !
Thank you so much!! xx
Love ur videos on mindful luxury shopping. Agree most of time we will realise, less is more !
Thank you so much 😊
So agree with your thoughts about these luxury items, thanks for sharing! 😘
Thank you so much, it really means a lot xx
Hi Eileen, thanks for sharing, I have stopped buying luxury shoes, as it is quite a chore maintaining their soles and heels. I love kitten heels, however this kind of heels always get trapped in uneven grounds, tiny potholes. And sometimes u need a break-in period for luxury shoes for some designs, which is a no-no for me. Therefore, I'm into Melissa jelly shoes only, pointy toes and flats. I do not have to worry about maintaining the soles, heels and break-in.
Thanks for sharing!!💛
Totally your opinion on uncomfortable shoes/sneakers/high heels. I bought B23 Dior sneaker and I have sold it because when I worn it about more 2 hours I felt hurt. And It was not a leather... it made by PVC.. so the price is too hype.
Glad you returned those shoes! I've not tried any PVC shoes, but I can imagine they'll feel quite stiff xx
@corful Noir please do a shoe collection ? What do you think about the pochette accessoires nm??
Hi I've done a shoe collection video before th-cam.com/video/CJznDw10uk4/w-d-xo.html
Enjoy xx
Hi Eileen, I completely agree on all except the card holders. I have a weakness for them... the YSL card holders are stunning, am still using my cheep travel suitcase after 10years. Eileen what are your thoughts on Chanel and LV price increase? Please make a video of what you think
Hi Leah, I've filmed a video about Chanel price increase, it should go live next week of the week after. Stay tuned😇
Looking forward to it
I can't stop watching your videos! xxx
That means a lot, thank you so much xx
I switched my cards between different cardholders until I misplaced my ysl one. Its gone along with my personal belongings n I was really sad. Its still better to have everything in 1 wallet. I buy more than 1 cardholders as collectibles n leave them in my wardrobe as "showpiece". I do not suggest switching around cardholders unless one is very careful.
Thank you for sharing. I'm so sorry you lost your YSL cardholder xx
I totally agree with you...that make so much sense..
thanks for sharing
Thank you Leila. I'm so glad it was helpful! xx
Hi Mini, I use the Chanel O case (small) and I absolutely love it xx
🤗 Great video as always! I agree with you actually on all the points you've stated. The only thing: I also have a soft spot for designer slgs...but as you mentioned, I also set me the rule: don't multiply! I have a compact wallet, so I don't need a second one! I am unsure about designer footwear in general. I know, a lot of people love them, but I don't have the financial possibilities or maybe I can't justify such a splurge for items with whom you WALK on the STREET! 😱😅 I love love love the Chanel Espedrilles, but I go with dupes instead bc I know how I treat my shoes...
Shoes are expensive splurges for sure! They are a bit like cars, the minute you drive it out the lot you've lost 30% of it's value 😀
@@ColourfulNoir 🙈😅 very true!
Great sensible advice regarding luxury items. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!xx
I totally agree with you regarding expensive cosmetic when you have acne you have to go to see a doctor get proper treatment expensive cosmetics doing nothing. waist of money.
Hi Ewelina, hope you're doing well xx
All of the points are great! Thank you. Btw, what necklace are you wearing? It’s so dainty and cute. I’ve seen it on some others and it looks like it’s from LV but I’m not sure what it’s called.
Hi the necklace is from Van Cleef 😉 I usually link what I wear in the description box xx
Great advice, all of it. This will help many people.
Thank you! It really means a lot xx
I love, love, love the Dior saddle bag. Always have always will. ❤
If you absolutely love the Dior Saddle, I think that's the bag for you! I still buy 'trendy' luxury bags but only if I love the bags for what they are, and not what the trends suggest I should have. Enjoy it in the best of health 💛
@@ColourfulNoir I totally agree. 😊
Again great advice as usual. Thank you for sharing your experiences and helped us avoid regretful mistakes 💕
Glad it was helpful! xx
New stubbie!!!!! Love your thought process and ideas. Common sense... which many forget about. Sometimes myself.
Welcome on board!xx
No such thing as common sense : )
I absolutely agree with everything! So insightful!
Thank you so much xx
I agree with the beach bags, shoes. I actually always wear flats anyway.
Glad you fond my video relatable! Thank you for watching xx
I agree with you on everything!
Thank you Sherry xx
A very good list of items not to buy!!
Glad you agreed with my list 😇 Do come back for more videos xx
I'm also now looking at local jewellers especially for diamond pieces, they are more worth my money than designer costume jewelry xx
Hi Eileen, which necklace are you wearing? Thx!
Hi I've linked it in the description, it's VCA 💛
Don't try Omorovicza skincare unless you are willing to spend the money, because you will never want to use anything else, especially if you have skin issues. I have been caring for my skin since age 9 (I am 62), and this is by far the best line available. There is a reason it is the top spa line in the world.
Thanks for sharing!! You're the second person to recommend this brand, I'll look into it xx
is the LV totally mm a discontinued style? it looks like a neverfull with more pockets and a zip closure, best of both worlds!
Sadly the Louis Vuitton Totally MM has been discontinued, it's really a shame because it's such a fantastic tote bag! xx
@@ColourfulNoir Aww that is such a shame! Maybe it had too much power haha! jokes but thanks for the reply! use your bag for me ;)
Love your suggestions 👍
Thanks so much!xx
Great video 🎥 Great TIPS 👍These are such USEFUL tips 👌to beginners like me. Thanks so much for sharing dear 💗💗💗 I'm now your new subbie 🤗 Take care
Thank you so much 😊
True and very honest review 👏🏻👏🏻, you are my one of the favourite TH-camrs 😊😊🙂
Thank you so much 😊 it really means a lot! xx
I am having a hard time finding a business card holder that is large enough to hold my business cards, my husband's and kids' business cards and have room to put the business cards of people I meet at networking events. Can anyone recommend anything? Or am I looking for something that doesn't exist and I should resign myself to carrying two or three?
Janet Steinman th-cam.com/video/a733cPdVO38/w-d-xo.html how ever you just find prelove
Wow Janet, you really have a lot to carry, what about the Louis Vuitton Kirigami pochette ?xx
Love all of your reviews ! Greetings from Texas USA
Thanks so much! xx
Love love love your prespective on luxury!!😍
Thank you so much 💛
I think another item I think we should not splurge on is part of the SLG section-planner inserts! It is absurd to buy paper at such an extravagant price.
That's a really solid suggestion for sure, thank you for sharing! I would also like to add the Supreme Oreo cookies lol xx
Hi Eileen , I always like your opinions on luxury pieces, always sensible and reasonable :) : I could not agree more with you :)
Thank you!!! xx
What do you think about the Dior Tote ?
I think the Dior tote is heavily overpriced, although it's also beautiful lol xx
Colourful Noir thank you for this so happy I found this channel it’s helping me as I want to make my first luxury bag purchase.
Fully agree. Good advice.
Thank you! xx
