    Great video! I have been to Guizhou the very year they opened up the province to tourism. I think it was 1992, or maybe 1994. It was a very memorable experience. Back then the main means of transportation in the area were still donkey carts. You could get there by long distance busses, rickety run down old vehicles. You could never be sure whether they would reach their destination. In one remote village I was the very first westerner they had ever seen. It was funny. Because of my short hair and androgynous shape they could not determine whether I am male or female. So they asked my HK Chinese b/f in putonghua and were stunned when I myself replied in putonghua. We made friends very quickly.
