I’m confused, if the children don’t miss Xmas, they still get gifts from the grandparents, so they know gifts are still coming, if the didn’t get the grandparents gifts, I they would feel totally different, so they still celebrate Xmas and open gifts ( not your gift, but they still celebrate Christmas.
Yes I was thinking the same. Respect the decision to not celebrate and it seems to me that with that decision is the courage to express this to the family and ask them to respect this decision and not send gifts to the kids . Especially during this time of year. Maybe have the kids donate these items they receive . I personally see nothing wrong with observing the birth of our savior. Doesn’t have to include Santa , tree and decor or gift exchanging.
That’s what I’m trying to understand. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, there should be no accepting of Christmas gifts. Let the family/friends know you no longer celebrate Christmas, therefore, no Christmas gifts.
But I guess they’re handling it differently and whatever she decides for her family is best.
They, Samvia, just don't want to spend the money , they rsther spend their money on wigs. extensions, and trips. The things she wants. They still accept gifts.

I agree with what you're doing❤ My son and daughter-in-love have reared 7 boys and never put up a tree or decorated !! They explained the Biblical aspect associated with the birth of Jesus Christ. The youngest just turned 14 and they are powerful young men of God1🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 I love it!!!!! 16:45

It appears you only believe in the receiving part of Christmas. If Christmas is make believe, why are you only believing in accepting gifts? By accepting the gifts for your children you are participating in Christmas. It's so sad how the world has became LUKEWARM

I love how you are close to GOD spiritually! But the way you thinking about Christmas I feel different about it Christmas we celebrating the birth of Jesus is not about gifts and exchanging gifts in the media family! It’s about giving respect to the day that Jesus was born for us! Christmas is not about having fun and parties, party and going crazy…’ Christmas is about prayer going to church and receiving communion, taking Jesus in you and making sure he stays with you!

Thank you for sharing your story and experience. This year we didn’t put a tree up this year and I am completely happy with that and my kids are fine. Christmas isn’t about the Tree. I love seeing Christmas lights. We don’t put lights up I do have a door hanger but I have Christmas stuff limited this year and I am fine.
In our faith we watch our spiritual music and sermons and I watch positive videos and business videos as well

Yoooooo. I've never heard of another family doing something like we do. I too have a large family and we been stop doing the tree and gifts, HOWEVER, we do celebrate the birth of JESUS CHRIST. Cuz truth be told, we know He was born on a day, just not sure which day. So we bake him a cake, song happy birthday, make him a card and just make it all about Him and celebrate His birth....
As far as the kids, we go all out on there birthdays and call it a day. They do not miss any tree or anything...

I celebrate everything that is in me and every holiday represents something going on in us. The colors bring us joy and for that I love it. I have learned and created a better life for myself by studying myself and others. It's only an experience that helps us understand the Holy Spirit and that God (the best way to see the mind) and what we can do for ourselves with the help of seeing what we can't see and make light of it that's my focus and it's hard work trusting what you don't see but when you live life you began to see and know how to walk and talk as a person with no eye sight.
Every year at Christmas we would get presents; some of the biggest ever apples, oranges, and mixed nuts. My mother would play the movie "The Bible". The television networks showed bibical movies all day and night. After watching we were allowed to go out and play. Every Sunday we all would go to church for praise and worship. We were celebrating Christ's birth every week. Being a child I didn't realize it at the time. I am a "Baby Boomer". We keep the same tradition today. May God bless you all.

Honestly, I love Christmas & my kids love it as well. It’s always been my favorite holiday! After watching you & your husband’s video a few days ago something stirred in my spirit & I feel like God loves us so much he will use anyone or anything to reveal his truth. I am going to do my own research & be open to possibly adopting new traditions that are in complete alignment with my Christian beliefs. Thank you for sharing & being so honest & humble in your videos. You have a beautiful family & God is using you all!

This reminded me of some neighbors of mine years ago.They partied,drank, celebrated everything all year long.When Christmas Came around all of a sudden they turned Jehovah Witnesses.....go figure.
We love not celebrating Christmas however, we do honour knowing that Jesus is our focus! Our family have gotten used to us and now respect us! I have really enjoyed not spending money, shopping with crowds etc. It's now a part of our way of living and believing Spiritually. My dad would say it should not take a holiday to show special love and give gifts on designated day! (Jeremiah 10) is my reason for why I don't and glad I made it my choice!

I'm french living in Paris, and here, also Christmas is a big social issue but my family do nit celebrate it but grand-parents send gifts to my children even if we have tord them tant we are not part of it. But they live to send gift to ther grandchildren. So be it. We want to keep bridges so tat we can continue to preach the gospel to them. And that is mort more important

Heyyy! We typically spend New Year's Eve in a service with our church family. We pray the new year in and thank God for what He's has done and what he will do. We won't be going live unfortunately .
oh ok yes me too I usually go to church too, its ok about not going live no problem on that totally understand. I won't go to church this year because trying to heal I fell into a depression coma in January of 2018 and woke up from it in February of 2018 and been sick ever since gotten better but not fully heal. I don't celebrate either. I believe in gifting all year in JESUS CHRIST' mighty name. Pagan holiday's is not for me. Santa is satan. He uses people for evil and to compete. It's always a competition for many. Life is a beautiful journey from GOD because HE gave us JESUS CHRIST. We have to remember to be respectful, loving, and kind in JESUS CHRIST' mighty name. What I find hypocritical is that God has blessed you and your family, and now you are turning your back on Jesus to not recognize his birth. 🤔Who cares that no one knows the specific date Jesus was born. The point is he was born and died for our sins. The 3 wise men, the star of Bethlehem, and the gifts that were given to Jesus Christ existed. Do you celebrate your birthday? I celebrate because I know Jesus was born, He died and He rose. If the world or anyone, chooses to Celebrate My Lord and Savior, so will I. Nobody knows what day He was born, but He was born. Everyone do not Celebrate for the wrong reason. This video comes across like you are projecting onto your kids because the way they are interacting with those gifts It's obvious they still want Christmas...ugh when family vloggers rely on youtube to make a living the kids get exploited...protect children at all cost from future embarrassment/bullying
I did the same and I am NOT a TH-cam person making money. My kids were not exploited. Other reactions teach their kids without condemnation. As adults, my children chose not to celebrate until they married. Their spouses understand me. My son-in-law's mother just started not celebrating. My children now choose to celebrate and I am okay with that. They are healthy and my 6 grandsons still love Nana. I am not stressed with running into stores and searching online. I love relaxing and talking to God. I feel free. Do I miss it after 10 plus years, at times. My students (5th grade), respect that I don't. They still bring gifts and give on my birthday (19th) because they want to show love and appreciation. They know there will be know Christmas movies😂 and they are okay.

Do you celebrate each other's birthday? If so, do you celebrate the birth of Jesus in a spiritual way? Like once, I explained to our youth that it is Jesus' BDay so what could we give HIM for all HE did for us? They said things like be more obedient, do chores w/o being told, treat their friend better etc. It helped to strip away the materialism advertised.

Everything is secular. It’s sad that most people in America don’t know why they celebrate a holiday. They don’t even take the time to look it up to educate their kids why they are celebrating the day. On another note I do not think that it was a good idea for you to decide that you will stop celebrating Christmas during the middle of raising your kids. Of course they will agree with you, you probably cannot afford gifts with all those kids.
