I dont blame him for this idea but this is a dangerous circuit and can only be used in some purposes like cheap led bulb, you will get electric shock because its not isolated from ac due to lack of transformer, this circuit do not provide large current output/unless you add lots of capacotor at input which will cost you twice than a good smps power supply.this is only good for cheap led dim light.do not use this circuit with any circuit consisting of transsistors,ic or micro controllers,lcd/led display all these can get damaged if its used.this circuitis is not reliable beacause either polar or non polar or both capacitors will blast after few days. Take this as a free advice from an expert.thanks.
Thank you for your video. I want to set up 2 Arduinos that us 5volts and 1 nema 17 stepper motor that uses 9 volts. How can I power these off a bread board with a cord that connects to 220 wall power? I’m new to this any advice will help. Thank you.
0.47uF gives an impedance at 50Hz of about 6.7KOhms so you'll get about 35mA therefore 1uF should give you about 70mA and so on..... make sure the capacitor is at least 400V better to be 600V rated. Use a low . value series protection resistor to limit the surge current. Output is at 240V AC with respect to Ground so be very careful!!
Very low (in mA range). This not an efficient source. For higher DC current source you can use SMPS power supply which is efficient and transformer less.
@@TechStudyCell it is "efficient" ie it has low losses. The output current depends on the series capacitor. for low output voltages you will get approx 30mA with a 0.47uF Cap. A SMPS needs an inductor, & to achieve ISOLATION from the dangerous high voltage mains, you DO need a transformer.
It would be good practise to include a series resistor eg 50 or 100ohms to limit the instantaneous surge current when the circuit is first switched on. Also you should really highly STRESS to the less well educated people that the output of this circuit is at very high AC voltage with respect to earth, and so is a very great lethal danger risk if not used in a completely isolated situation. Otherwise you get stupid people asking if it can be used to charge a cellphone etc.. It is not novel. It is a common method useful in some specific applications. You should also stress the series voltage dropper capacitor must be rated 400-600VAC
but people have their own brains right? How would they survive in the jungle for example? Or 10 000 years ago when it was no internet 😅 and very dangerous environement??? Would it be someone who tells them what to do ?? People evolueted somehow and if someone wants to charge his phone with 230 V AC it is his choice and also it is actually good for Darvin's law and evolution of humanity 🤣

The best. I like so much your vídeos. Thanks !
you are welcome...
you won my heart today , it was really something NEW to me #Without_transformer , i am really very excited to try it PRACTICALLY (Y)
Can I use 7805 voltage regulator instead of zener diode
Can i make this transformerless power supply for arduino based project using atmega328p?plz ans..
for constant load like LEDs it is ok. Don't use it for Arduino
Shall i use 470k ohm parallel
What should I change if I need a push switch in between to turn this supply on. I want to push button to run the circuit rather than main switch..
Then connect a switch in series between the 220v supply and AC capacitor.
Interesting and informative video. Thanks for sharing.🤔👍🏻
Should a bleeder resistor be used in this demonstration?🤔
C1. 0.47u F 275v AC bhi use kr skty

I will not recommend to use this power supply for Arduino or other variable DC load.
You can use this circuit to supply LEDs.
Are possible for use arduino?
Thank you good karma
( bless you )
Can you connect more than 1 transformerless psu to an arduino board
What happens when we use 12 volt transformer? can It works same with using center taped transformer.
Hm agr jo rating ap ne use ki uc se zada kre ya km kre tu kya result aaye ga
is this smps ?
what will happen to the incoming power and current?
have you use high ratings electronics components?
I've already shared the circuit diagram. I've used 400volt AC capacitor.
This is a CAPACITIVE DROPPER power supply
but how you connect 230v ac supply directly at iput?
Bro this power supply electrically insulated?
No.
This is very dangerous 😥
Hi mate do you have an email i have an issue with a guitar effect pedal would you be able to throw some light on it cheers
How to convert with transfermor
Well that's totally safe....
No nit at all.
@@MMaheshThakur that's a sarcasm
The output will come electric shock
Hello bhai .. muja output ma dc 12 volt and 7 amp current chaia ... Tho ma circuit ma changer kerke use ker sakta hu kya ... Koi kathra tho nhi ha
use smps. not this circuit.
So no AC mains isolation???
Yes, there is no isolation
If we use higher rating than 0.47 micro farad ac capacitor then what happen.
The current rating of the circuit will be increased. you can add more load at the output.

Can we use this for amplifier input voltage
It can be used as a low current DC source. If the amplifier draws less the 100mA you can use this.
Without transformer ? How
Actually i have a query i.e What is the maximum current rate i can consume from it ?????????????

How to convert 9v ac to 5v dc
can I use voltage regulator in place of zener diode.
will it work without the zenar diode?
Zener diode is used to get constant output voltage... otherwise the output will vary with load.
