THROWING KNIVES AIMING TEST | Sea Of Thieves

Did some quick tests on how best to aim with the Throwing Knife. The best thing I can recommend is to unequip your hook and use your index finger to aim for the middle of the body.

I did notice the hook doesn't make for a great reticle. But I couldn't really be bothered to unequip it.
In the two hours I played today, the knife feels pretty nice to quickly dispatch a pack of weak skellies.

It's simple aim at knees of ghost you hit the chest
Aim at the bell of your mast with finger and you'll hit the Guild sign if you have one

Yeah it's kind of on the middle of the screen and has a little bit of gravity, quite easy to aim after a bit of practice, the one I still don't get very well is the double gun

Would have been better if you had your friend there and just throw it beside him as well so you can see

Did you attempt to run fwd and bkwds and strafe and throw? If so, how did it go?

As far as I know the calculations are done on release and aren't affected by movement.

if you walk forward while throwing, does it go farther? and vice versa?

Strafing and throwing needs to be changed. The knife continues to move as if it’s attached to you mid flight.

@@Voce24 it's the same as cannonballs, the only difference is the knife kinda sticks to you for like 25ms

The throwing knife needs a bit of a buff. It's far weaker then just using a sword and pistol. They can't one shot rusted gold skeletons and the melee is too weak and slow.

Two throws = 120% HP with quicker ready time than two pistols but you lose a lot if you viability if you use it instead of a sword. I'm currently going with Sword and Throwing Knives. The melee is definitely weak but it if faster.
