The 264lb no foot snatch looks like lightweight after his 600lb squat... then I remember I've only ever hit 245lb on a squat and he's throwing more weight than that overhead like its nothing
@@mikeblxde4735 it means you're not jumping. Therefore you have to accelerate barbell higher. Basically rely a lot more back, and barely use legs. In no foot snatch you have to keep the bar a lot closer to your body, can't really allow it to swing away during the extension because you can't correct for the path by jumping forward/backward. Also no foot snatch suits Clarence's super low hips starting position a lot more, you don't really need to cover the bar with your shoulders at the start with this variation.
Usually no foot is like an 80% of a normal snatch or so? Although for example Lasha did 200 kg no foot snatch for a double. I guess it depends on how stong a person's back & upper body are relative to their legs.
160kg no foot snatch is so much more impressive than any 300kg back squat lmao, the amount of skill required to express your strength in a 160kg snatch is out of this world, no amount of gear could teach any powerlifter how to snatch 160kg, unlike a 300kg squat you can do as a bloatlord with lots of gear.
Me: Grinding 165x5 cranked out of my mind on pre-workout and blasting music. Clarence: Casually doing 270x5 while listening to the news, then carries on knitting a sweater in between sets while comfortably seated in his rocking chair.
@yewtewbstew547 Oops! Actually, it should say 147.5x5. That's what I hit at the end of my previous peaking phase, which works out to an estimated 165. My mind must have swapped the numbers. Hoping to hit 180x1 within the next year though!
I workout in a commercial gym. You barely see people practicing the olympic lifts, so it's kinda cool when you do. I like to chat those people up sometimes and have them check on my technique for DLs or squats. That said, NOBODY, not even close, moves these kinds of weights over here.. Cheers Clarence and thanks for another video!
Great video - I hope everything is going well with you! All the best for Christmas and the New Year (in case you are not posting any more videos this year).
as someone who has started off as a calisthenics athlete and now trains the powerlifts, you are really tempting me to venture into the world of weightlifting. I already squat atg and train the ohp so maybe once i hit some weight im proud of i’ll start training for the snatch and clean

Well, what can I say except, Holy Fuck!!! The lifts are insane, but the flying kicks at the end are out of this world! Clarence straight up opened the sixth gate from Naruto and released the demon he is
As I get stronger, instead of getting less impressive, this becomes more ridiculously unfathomable impressive.
Funny enough, my goal rn is to hit Clarence's PR's but 50% of them, like his 225 C&J, so 112 kilos. I'm far from it.
@@YukiGibson yeah that gives some perspective how crazy strong clarence is.

The depth of that Front Squad with 250 kg blew my mind.

Good job staying in the game Clarence! I hope the best recovery for all your annoying injuries.
Another nice recap of consistency and progress.
Well done Clarence.
This video feels like the ones you used to post in 2015. Glad to see you're back into tricking!
Those front squats looked brutal.

Amazing lifts and tricking! Seems like the lower body weight helps with tricking. Cool to see you do more of both 👏🏻 😃 🔥
Thank you for uploading.

been watchng you since i've started lifted a few years ago and almost able to replicate your warmup. 180kg for a paused ATG squat.
I'm so glad this video popped up. It reminds me of why I started the gym in the first place, because I think this is just the coolest shit.

I like yout heavy weight raw ATG squats video. Fantastic. Thank you Clarence. Take care. Many heavy squats. :)
If anyone’s wondering all of these clips are at least 3 years old lol
