  • In this video I'll share with you the Kovea butane adapter and some others. They allow you to use butane canisters on any device that accepts a lindal thread. Stoves, lanterns, etc... Enjoy!!!

    1) lying down the can with the notch face up so that the fuel come out in gas form, instead of liquid, which is easier to control the valve. 2) dont shake when using. 3) keep from overheat.

Just got some butane cans just like the one shown today! Much cheaper than the isobutane cans!
Bought one of the other kind, too - $6.95 for one vs 8.95 for *four* butane cans!

Note: plain butane is the least energy fuel. The canister gas is iso-butane and propane mix and much better in cold temps, higher energy. Kovea sells the long cans with a iso-butane propane mix much better fuel.
With a propane to lindal adapter the stove works even better, more energy better cold performance

Yes, i got a couple of these adapters and they pay for themselves from the get go! If using one with a gas lantern, or a direct fit, sit on top type stove, make sure you get the safety ring for the cannister to fit onto so it doesn't topple over.......

Just ordered one from Ebay for my Gas Lantern. The screw cannisters are very expensive, whereas You can buy 4 or even 8 of the push type for the same price. These adapters more than pay for themselves.

I’ve found that depending on where you are in the mountains the local stores may not have certain types of fuel so I have set of butane and propane Lindal adapters so I can use pretty much any available fuel source.

Have you used propane with this type of stove using those adapters? I did not know if propane canisters would output too much pressure or not for this stove to handle.

I have a 'G-Works' adapter to do this. It is Korean as well I believe. All the G-Works stuff is very high quality but pricey.
One note: since your universal is designed to preheat liquid fuel you can run it with the butane can on its side like that. With a remote butane stove that is specifically designed for lindhal butane cans one might have to leave the butane can standing up so it only feeds gas and not liquid.

Will that stove work with small Coleman 1lb propane canisters using the "1lb Propane Small Gas Tank Input EN417 Valve Output Outdoor Camping Stove Convert Cylinder LPG Canister Adapter" that can be bought on Amazon? This is a Lindal Value Output that Auto-closes when it is not connected to the stove

Kovea also makes an adapter that connects 1lb Coleman steel 100% propane bottles to the Lindal valve backpacking stoves. I just got one of these and it works great.

yea this adapter is only for stoves that have liquid feeding mode or a pre heater tubes, it can become dangerous because those cans can feed liquid butane if not taken care properly.and you dont want a fireball stove.
