Mr Pettaway I know this is an old video but you can't find that many on how to do what you did and the way you explained it. I am trying to get my pump off but can't figure how to get the gray electrical connector apart. I don't want to break it. Can you explain it in words? Thanks.

Sorry for the late response ... it has a tab you must squeeze so it will pull off ... I use long screwdriver

Thank you sir for posting!! I have to say, after watching 50 or more videos, you are the only one that shared the information about the relay. My GX470, is doing the same as you have described. Checked the relay, it is good. Took the pump off, ( 3rd screw was tough ). Checked the pump, it is working. The red, and black wires going in to the pump, I had to cut to remove it. Checked to see if there is voltage coming into the pump. No voltage. Switched the relay, still no voltage. Man, I don't know what to do now. I knew it was the pump, until I checked it outside of the car, and it works. I jumped to the pump, because it wasn't coming on, and the control sensor also quit working. Purchased 2, new air springs, but I have to get the pump working on the car first. Do you have any suggestions, to what I do next? Great Videos!!

@@MyPettawayLife I have checked all the fuses related to the suspension system in the fuse box under the hood. I have replaced the relay fuse.

Did the pump fix the problem you were having with the left side not staying up?

Crewchief2 yes for the first 3 weeks but I have a small leak in the air shocks which I ordered off Amazon to put on this weekend. So now I have a new pump & air shocks plus I did get the relay. Cost about $240 for everything.

Thanks I just bought a GX last week. Bags appear to be good but I’m not sure my comfort ride switch is working and the ride height switch. Gotta check it all out good but I appreciate your video and answering my comment. It’s help me in deciding what I need to check. My GX has 210,000 mile. I’m about to do a timing belt and water pump job, oil change and drive that baby. In my opinion that air ride is worth keeping. Best riding 4x4 I’ve ever been in!

Crewchief2 We got our 470 back in 2006 & it’s been great plus I can do some of the maintenance on it which I have. There is also a video on TH-cam Lexus LX 470 Height Control Problem the guy shows how to clean them & it worked for him.
