  • How do you make the new Honda Civic more exciting? Turn it into a hatchback! What would make it even more fun? A manual transmission! But we will have to wait on that one.

    I much prefer the styling of the 11th gen. A lot of people are complaining that it’s too boring, but I felt the 10th gen was too toy-ish

      I strongly disagree. I much prefer the styling of the 10th gen. The look was just much more aggressive and badass. The 11th looks like every other car on the road.

    I was leasing Honda Civic for 9 years and had long rides about 1000 miles with 2012, 2015, and 2018 models. I do not understand why people are complaining about the car. It had a beautiful ride. I rode with my bicycle 120 miles yesterday. It took me about 11 hours. I always appreciate having a car.

    Really really hoping the hybrid version is a hatch, but only thing that upsets me is lack of rear air vents and adjustable lumbar support. Strange cost cutting measures (especially for $30k) considering Hyundai/Kia’s have that and cooled front seats in their competition.

  • @WhenKittensATK1125

    I wish the lower Sport trim had wireless charging with wireless Android/Apple and without the price increase over the sedan. All of these have me leaning more towards the Hyundai Elantra SEL with the convivence package. Although I like the interior and exterior of the Civic Hatchback much more.

    I really like this car, but it irks me that you can't get the manual in the base model. Why is the manual being treated like some "premium" feature now?! It was originally the "standard" most simple and economic transmission option. It's the biggest, and dumbest ploy in the auto industry these days.

    • @CaptainTexas92
      @CaptainTexas92 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Simple, the Manual transmission isn’t standard because the manual is more expensive to produce. The CVT unit is cheaper for Honda to produce and relatively speaking until you get into Type R territory is just as fast 0-60 as the stick. All you have to do is look at 0-60 between auto and stick performance cars an realize that they are becoming faster across the board.

    • @jeffsiemens4485
      @jeffsiemens4485 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it’s because the people that want manual are usually enthusiasts that also want the extra power. I’m guessing there’s not much of a market for the base model with manual trans, otherwise they would sell it.

      You have to turn it off every time you turn on the engine. The auto stop start is pretty easy to control with the brake pedals though. If you don’t fully engage the brake at each stop the engine will not turn off and fully engaging will stop the engine for you

    I like more the rear design of this hatch but the front? Too long and snouty… the interior is superb. It would sell being a Honda but its not something that would really make an impact. This is a baby Accord as you would say and if you compare it to a Mazdaspeed Hatch styling? I would choose the Mazda. Just a thought….no offense.
