lol how? They're totally different games. People keep dumping on Darktide but it's a fine game. Probably one with more depth than this will have. People will still be playing Darktide after people are mostly finished with this one. Same with Helldivers. Space Marine 1 has always had like ~100-200 avg players.

Makes you wonder if it's possible to add different playable Chapters/Chaos Marines that each had a gimmick that's associated with them that in turn makes their playstyles different from what we're used too instead of just having the ability to customize and make them look like your favorite Marines. Salamanders Vs. Night Lords. Templars Vs. Plague Marines, Grey Knights Vs. Emperors Children, etc.
im really hyped for this game, the last time i got feelings like this was probably 20 years ago. I'm gonna definitely check out the Bullwark Class because i love playing a Tank Class, its allways my choice, i just hope they are in good balance. that the long-range units are not at an advantage, which they already are because they can shoot from far away, so the bulwark class must have real power defensively and offensively to survive. For a Warhammer fan it is a dream to fight through this world with an sword and shield, for the emperor!
What I am excited for is that I see that the heavy class uses Gravis armor, which is one of my favorite armor patterns. With that and the ability to change colors, I can get a big stompy boy in Imperial Fists yellow.^^
this game looks absolutely phenomenal, it’s got everything you’d want in a game like this. If launch goes well and they build on it, this will probably be the best war hammer game of all time.

I kinda hope we get chapter specific voice lines. I don't really want a blood angel inspired loadout to scream "For Ultramar!" It's being nitpicky but it would make the experience a lot better.
Got my squad of 3 already, 2 of us can't wait and one of them has never played in the Wrhammer universe so has no idea what he is about to get into. Looking forward to this a lot !
My most played Steam game of all time WAS Space Marine, Space Marine 2 is about to break that record. Day 1 purchase. It's refreshing to see a game release with what I thought were standard features (campaign, multiplayer, co-op). Hope this game does well.

They took their "Operations" mode straight out of Mass Effect 3 and I'm all about it. I LOVED that mode and how it tied in. Also, I hope they add more loadouts as one of the most fun things in ME3 was having like 30 DIFFERENT character types that all played completely differently. Lots of replayability.
So far so good. The only thing that feels a bit disappointing is bolter sounds and lack of that oomph behind the shots, they sound & feel like just a high caliber machine gun as opposed to a small autocannon. They should take note of the way they sound in darktide, probably one of the only few things that game got right.
@@uvicjames Yeah... both bolters and plasma guns are rarely depicted as they should be, it is such a squandered opportunity to make something so simple really satisfying. The weapon sfx design is probably the only thing that kept me playing Darkturd game for as long as it did - I venture to say that it is one of the most important aspects in games that are extremely repetitive in their nature - the impact of your actions need to be addictive in order for your grind to feel somewhat pleasant & make you come back for more.
I can’t pretend to not be a liiiiittle disappointed that there isn’t going to be any larger scale battles for pvp. I’m starving to be in a full scale war from this series
Bit late to the trailer, but for me this looks great. I love the scale of it, it captures that Warhammer vastness. The Tyranids as rendered hundreds of enemies swarming at you feels legit, personally loved the stain glass windows on the battle barge, and the guns and bullets feel weighty. It feels like a proper game made for gamers and fans. Let's hope it doesn't disappoint.
i really hope they take their time and not rush it or let any bugs seap through the cracks i know it’s not gonna be like the perfect game ever but then again it’d be nice for them to test it before release to check for any bugs just so it does have a great launch because i really am looking forward to this game
honestly part of me thinks chaos will return because in 1 nemeroth said will you be joining us soon brother meaning they may return although part of me would wonder is Eliphas would make a entry or not in the series since in the lore after he's killed he gets resurrected dying as a chaos lord of the word bearers and eventually becoming a lord of the black legion of chaos

I'm careful with optimism, but I am genuinely optimistic for this game. Seems like the team has actually sat down to make a proper game. So far, quite literally my only "complaint" is that we didn't get Mark Strong to return to voice Titus, but Clive Standen does a great job so it's not really a complaint, more of a nostalgia thing.
As badass as this game looks, dont pre-order, game companies need to prove their games are worth your money. Not take it early and halfass the product.

The first Space Marine game was epic, part 2 only has to be as good as the first to be a success.

Yes, they are supposed to have explosive rounds, instead just about every game makes them into machine guns. They should deal splash damage.
