Avengers VS X-Men 97: A Theory

- Now of course we know that some of Captain America's best friends are mutants.... but yeah X-Men vs the Avengers, Avengers vs X-Men, that's definitely happening. The Big question is wether or not it will be in season 2 or in season 3. Now admittedly I'm offering this as an X-Men 97 Season 2 theory, however I do think the story would be served better in X-Men 97 season 3 simply for the amount of time you could give to say a Wolverine vs The Hulk, Storm vs Thor, or Ironman vs Forge. What do you think? Would Avengers vs X-Men work best in X-Men 97 Season 2, Season 3, or not at all? Put it in the comments! Let's talk about it....
Maybe not next season, but maybe they'll do it in the last season of the show.
I could see that
I suppose a variant of AvX could be adapted, but I'm somewhat skeptical. As much as I like the X-Men, I would be quite disappointed if they just use it to smear the Avengers or make them look like bigots. Magneto literally saw into Cap's true feelings towards mutants and he doesn't feel any hatred toward them. Granted that's just him, but I wouldn't say the X-Men are more saintly than the Avengers, just different. Also, as a huge Hulk fan, I have this fear they might do him dirty. Being a Hulk fan has been pain in most Marvel productions recently.
I hear you. But at the same time, systemic injustice is a spectrum. The Avengers don't have to be outright bigots to still be a part of that system willingly or not. I feel like if they keep a similar energy that they have had in this past season they could do something nuanced and amazing with the concept.
@@TVTalkFM I suppose time will tell. Just curious, though, where did you get the impression that Spidey was somehow prejudiced against mutants? In my experience, Spidey has been nothing but an ally of the X-Men and honestly shares a lot of their experiences. Heck he even receives his powers at the same time most mutants do, even if he himself doesn't have the X-gene.
@@benfox1588 tbh I can't quite recall. I feel like I have this vague memory during those whole man-spider thing where reed richards proposed the hypothesis that he could be a mutant and spidy was less than thrilled by the thought but I could be totally misremembering. Regardless, even 'allies' can have prejudices.
I seriously hope they don't because it was one of the dumbest comic story arcs. I hope they adapt better stuff like Onslaught or Uncanny Avengers.
Onslaught would be awesome! But I think 97 would take a fresh approach to AvX which would be better than the original imo.
