    I too am seeing hopes of a rate cut amongst investors. I was wondering if this is too optimistic. Let's say the Fed really cut, it will be in the range of 25 bps or so, for each cut. This isn't going to make a big difference for borrowers who have face interest rate rises of a few percentage points in the last couple of years?
    Also, have they forgotten that many REITs have spread out their debt maturities so there is a delayed reaction where these old debts are yet to be repriced at the current interest rates. Even if the Fed cuts and assuming they cut by 25 or 50 bps this year, these old debts will be likely to be repriced much higher?

    Interests rates likely will be cut. Look at banks can already, they are the forward indicators ?

    My T bond portfolio earns 3.5% but the capital loss is currently about minus 20%. Not a great investment, TBH..."Invest in Treasury bonds for a stable secure return" they said. Ha - do they guys said that still have a job?

      When you buy T bill, you are suppose to hold for maturing. Not for capital gains. If you hold till maturity you get back 100% of your principal.

    After more than a decade of easy $ coupled with benign inflation, this is payback time. Not so easy to bring inflation down to 2%. More time is needed.

  • @dickchua8619
    @dickchua8619 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

    As an investor, it is not about keeping a constant eye on inflation as what AK71 snd many others have hyped.
    The trick is to hunt for the right company trading at an attractive or fair price, and then ride the storm. The profit will then roll in. 😊
