2020 to 2023
* 2020 = $4.72 billions
* 2021 = $6.81 billions
* 2022 = $8.19 billions
* 2023 = $10.06 billions
- DBS Profit from 2020 to 2023. Increased by 113%
- 1Q profit increased to $2.96b, increased by 15%. QoQ increased by 26%.
Dividend over the past few years, quarterly from 33c to 54c plus bonus dividends in 2022 of 50c and recent bonus share of 1 for 10.
Even at $35 it’s still trading below 10x PE, dividend yield of over 6%.if we look beyond the short term.

Thank you AK for your talking to yourself. I think it's a great reminder that we should be looking at the intrinsic value of the stock instead of anchoring based on the last lowest price we seen/others' purchase price. It is definitely challenging at times making the decision to average up.

I don't have a custodian account because I like to have full control. Rights issues etc become a hassle with custodian accounts. I am not attracted by offers of lower fees. Just a regular local broker.😊

that house buyer should think : wah this house appreciates so much, so high cagr , worth investment .
if he bought a house that only appreciate very little, he might think he get a good deal , but what make that house appreciate so slow ? no demand ? why? what had happened to that house / that area ? he maybe regretting buying such house if he got one.
if he afraid the seller markup too high, he should have checked the market value of houses at that area, he may negotiate with the price the other house nearby being sold at, then AK may be considering the deal ... right?

To be fair, he did offer a slightly higher price which was some 40% lower than what I eventually sold for.🤣 HK stocks are still cheap. 💯🤞

Just be patient and keep your gun powder really dry and safe...when there is fear...that is where the valuation will be attractive. For ocbc for example, my entry was 7.91 during pandemic.
