A medical prison is a prison set up with the ability to house inmates with specific medical needs. And the others are likely in low level prisons because they are less likely to assault or kill the guards and staff around them.

It seems like you’re not aware of how things even work. Prisons classify people on the level prison they’re gonna go to based on their calculated risk to the institution, for escape, threat to other prisoners, etc. No matter how you feel, a cop is very unlikely to be a troublemaker in the prison system. That’s why you could have somebody who is committed the exact same crime be sent to very different prisons based on their history or their conduct in prison.b

@Ali Mujahid - Hi. I was just responding to the original post saying that they should’ve gotten sent to maximum security prison‘s. I’m saying that’s not how it works, at least the most states. They typically classify you based on the risk you are of escaping and of being in violent altercations, etc.

I have an acquaintance that stole from his company and got caught.
It became federal due to crossing state lines in the commission of his felony.
He got time in a so called Maximum Security Federal Prison.
However, there were no fences, no walls, all had private rooms with a regular bed, desk, toilet, etc... and even a cell door he could lock from the inside and could leave the room at any time, day or night.
No perimiter walls, gaurds, guns, or towers, just an Honor System.
Prisoners there could even walk away around two blocks to a local convenience store... Alone.
Good for him or them, but what a Joke of a System.
He stole Millions and got a big fine and a couple of years.
The cash was never recovered, and he lives a pretty damn good life today.
