This bullshit has happened here in Oakland,CA quite a bit... The famous "Riders" case. A dope/vice squad of cops that routinely beat, robbed, stole, planted evidence on poor usually men of color, largely black in this town's east side and west side....for years until they finally went down about 15 years ago. I personally knew one of their victims who was sent to prison as result of these pieces of shit while they were running amuck unchallenged all the many years.
They were caught, prosecuted, sent to prison, though one, the worst one, skipped town and went to Mexico where still remains at large. The arrests and result scandal resulted in a "Consent Decree" with the DOJ that is still being adjudicated.
Frankly, the bullshit went a little further underground, this stuff still happens in Oakland, just better hidden. Just about 5 years ago, we had an Internal Affairs guy, hi up, beat a suspect to death while being the victim was being interrogated about a murder it was later discovered he was innocent of. For a awhile even this scandal was swept under the rug. Culture of Silence.... but they got him too...a whistle blower didn't want to cover for an outright illegal murder of suspect.
Now we recently had a whole bunch of cops on the force that passed around an underage woman who was being trafficked in prostitution and they all, I mean they all "f*****d" her. This came to light as the result of the suicide of one of the officers involved...
Again the Culture of Silence which really now plagues the City of Chicago. Peace

This has been going on in every state in the Country, Baltimore just got caught. Alot of corruptness goes on here in Missouri with police and the courts and all of the Judicial system. I was not protected by my attorney during a case when I was 24. It was so corrupt between my attorney and the prosecuting attorney that because of my age and lack of education there was nothing I could do. The cop that pulled me over racially profiled me because of the kind of car I had and when the cop approached my car he was shocked and then made up something as to why he pulled me over and it was a bogus reason, but I was scared and went along with his corruption. That was in Town n Country Missouri. Our St Louis city prosecuting attorney Kim Gardner is reversing things and arresting St Louis county cops and sticking up for St. Louis citizens. I am going to reach out to her and tell her my story. Always have audio and visual recorders and pay av$500.00 retainer to a criminal defence attorney and attack them back with your attorney and use Utube as your platform and don't give up. We need real reform.

That is garbage, the officer that was murdered was murdered because he was the only one standing up for justice, let's just suppose that he did get involved, at the end of the day, he wanted to make a change. But honestly believe that the Department wants to tarnish his memory by saying that one of the officers claimed that such officer was stealing as well.

Citizen-led policing. Citizens should be able to decide how they are policed. The private prison lobby incentivizes politicians to protect police. Police have to bring more and more inmates to keep the government funding coming so you get prison facilities filled with low-level and non-violent offenders. (Violent offenders should be there of course) And the police are told to mostly target minority communities for arrest quotas.

Got this weekend I remember 7 and 1/2 8 years ago when I was robbed the second time by the Baltimore City police for almost $300 in cash after being robbed by the Baltimore City police only four months earlier by three different cops at a different traffic stop calling the police department to Lodge a complaint and being laughed at after being threatened with arrest, then I called a lawyer with the same complaints and ask for his help and he refused to get involved because you warned me about how corrupt the Baltimore Police are and how if I did anything to complain against them I would be targeted and singled out and I got stopped for being late in a very nice car and a quote on quote questionable neighborhood, display explain to the police that was where I was born raised and grew up at for half my life they just wanted an excuse to search my car and rob me Etc... And all my white friends and black friends used to tell me how crazy I sounded and how there's no way that if people were being constantly robbed by the Baltimore city police, and yet after almost 8,000 complaints in nine and a half years of police corruption by the residents and people like myself who no longer live in the city but used to work in the city they finally talked about there is a problem in Baltimore only after it was won the nationwide news and it was revealed that the FBI had caught all these cops doing all this unbelievably crooked s*** for the umpteenth time. I don't sound too damn crazy anymore do I?

    Big big criminals.
You have to give death penalty for the true up hold of the law, to have any credibility and respect for the law people are expected to up hold and respect each day world wide.

My ex husband was a cop in Calif. And he didn’t pass the mental health portion of the process but was hired anyway. This was 1990. It’s only gotten worse.
