    Warren has earned his stripes, you can see it in his hands. Started as a kid ( I’m sure )and worked his way up to become a excellent production mechanic! Any shop in the world would hire him. Keep doing what you do so well. Thanks for sharing

    I rebuild these transmissions and other power shift transmissions out of ag equipment for a living. Your doing great! Just some helpful tips.. you don’t need to remove the planetary before you remove the cover. It’s easier after. And for anyone else that’s wondering... you do need to remove that flywheel on the input shaft before removing the big cover. Also on that needle bearing in the small gear for the driven pump, I see them go bad quite often. The cause is from pulling the tractor (usually a wheeled machine) with out it running. The gear will spin (without lubrication) and will burn up the bearing, pump housing, and usually it will also damage the manifold. Not a cheap fix once that happens... just good advice is... don’t pull these tractors with the drive shaft(s) hooked up. Thanks

      Hello, I have a question for you, I have a tractor 8400 from 99, and it has a problem with gears, sometimes it does not want to shift from 13 to 14 and beyond, and it is both cold and hot, it just switches nothing happens until 13, the screen just shows the 13th gear. Sometimes this problem disappears and he turns on 14-15-16 without problems, I don't know what the problem is, and whether it is possible to fix it myself in the conditions of a simple workshop, thank you!😢

      Yes, the code for the hydraulic system, I broke two buttons for quick lifting and lowering of the attachment from the outside. HCU 58 code. Thank you, it's probably a problem with the wiring, I'll contact an electrician, because I don't know much about electrical parts myself, the maximum is to change the light bulbs and check for an open circuit on light circuits))

    My father use to have a Ford F250 1987 4x4 pick-up truck with a C6 automatic transmission. My father bought the truck new and had a snowplow blade mounted on the front of the truck. He used this truck to plow snow for 20 winters before he sold it. This truck plowed a lot of snow due to we live in Canada. He never had any problems with this transmission ever.

    Never thought I would feel nostalgia for the old knuckle busting Farmall f 14's and f 20's I helped my father fix back in the 1960's/70's but seeing all that electronic crap you have to deal with well thank god I only had to deal with a couple of bad Magneto's!

    Hello Warren. I had ask you on a different video about my 4255 deere that will not go in gear. Sorry I'm not savvy enough to go back and figure out where I commented before. After disconnecting the linkage the rotary valve still will not move. bizarre but this tractor shifted out fine before she was parked and separated to rebuild the engine. I did find clutch material in the oil pan. pull the transmission screen and she was stopped up with fiber material that had been there for some time. Pulled the cover off the rotary valve and black snot like material came out of there. So I'm thinking my clutch from some point came apart this screen was stopped up so obviously the filter bypass valve and opened and send Viber throughout the transmission. Do you have any video of removing a rotary valve on a powershift transmission to clean out as I'm told it is a chore to do and that that unit is timed? I really enjoy the videos and it is so helpful to see how things are to take apart and put back together. Definitely enjoy learning from you.

    Great video, I really appreciate you doing these... On our 8200 we need to remove the transmission end plate(valve manifold) to access the clutch control valve. Are we able to remove the valve manifold while the transmission is horizontal or does the trans. need to be vertical as it is in your teardown? Any advice you can provide would be greatly received.

My powershift transmission has issues such that it does not engage #1 and #2 and it is stuck on 4 WD. Please advice how i can solve this issue. what would cause that much burn damage, hard clutch dump to hard in reverse, riding reverse or broken bonded piston as you say , but what is the KEY cause

    • @jonka1
      @jonka1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes there is no clear answer. I've seen many things damaged when assembled in the factory. Might be that or faulty materials or bad manufacture of that particular piston or design parameters close to the limit of stress or it could be that we'll never be sure. The heat came from continuing to use reverse when there would be an obvious fault.
