Once you get to 45 years of age, you need to be teaching at Deere headquarters. Few people have your talents of work, explaining, and wording that anyone can grasp.
I think he should be teaching but don't support mother deere lol let him teach about what he's learned over the years and how that can apply over any brand. We already have a problem with deere having monopolies
Your wife must be very understanding, mine whines everytime I buy a new tool or wrench. She tells the kids don't buy him tools for birthdays or Christmas, he already has too many. We all know there's never too many tools. Always need that special one to do a job. I didn't see a pair of Snap-on compound leverage pliers in your drawer. They are amazing with super grip & very little squeeze effort. I use mine several times a day! Another great & enjoyable video Zeth.
I just use sockets on universal adapters. Same size if you use nano sockets. It's a much cheaper option. You can buy a half dozen of universal adapters in 1/4", 3/8", & 1/2" sizes for the price of 1 set of swivels.
Thanks for another great video ZK. It was interesting and enjoyable. Thanks for showing us around your service truck. Wow. Lots and lots of tools. And you just showed us one side. Was very interesting. I would not even begin to guess how many dollars are invested there. Wow. Thanks for showing us ZK. I am amazed at what you have to take off just to replace the manifold gaskets. Just unbelievable. I know the engineers that build this stuff do their best but you had to take a lot apart just to do the replacement. My guess is that 75 percent of your time is just getting at the gasket and the rest replacement time. I am blown away at how much you had to remove. Thanks for showing us ZK. Looking forward to the next part of it and the rest of the service truck. Thanks again ZK. Most interesting. I learned a lot. Thanks The Iowa Farm Boy.
Today was another great video! I learn every time I see it. Watch your video and use gearwrench tools. Especially the swivel extension and snap-on swivel socket are very useful! Tools are expensive in Japan, so gearwrench is cheap and easy to use. Looking forward to next time! !
Great video Zeth. Oh for the good old days when changing a manifold gasket was only a matter of removing the muffler and then the manifold nuts (you probably weren't born yet)! 😊
Just want to say thank you for what you do on here! I was struggling to put a crankshaft dampener and variable speed fan on my 9630. I went back to your video on the 9430 where you talked about the John Deere tool not lining it up right. I built and alignment tool and it went right together! Thanks
Great video, appreciate your tips. Will have to try that seafoam! I am a smaller farmer by comparison and not brand loyal. I can say I like my Case IH 8010 with the 10.3 liter Iveco. It is simpler of course than later emissions engines. Keep the videos coming!
Once again it takes way longer to get to the problem than to fix it. I guess if it was easy everyone would be a mechanic. That’s a lot of work for one gasket. How long does it take to R&R that gasket. Common problem on deeres??Another great video. My service truck looks like yours. Pack as much crap as it can hold. Never know what you need when your in the middle of no where.
Hi just trying to remove our 2014 s680 exhaust manifold (UK Machine but US built) the coolant by pass tubes won't come out because they but up against the casting which held the egr cooler looks like we will have to remove the fuel filter housing to loosen the casting in order to get the tube out which the manifold won't come past? great videos by the way has given us the confidence to get stuck into the old girl this winter.
Keep up the good work, I was able to take a quick look over a few year old 7 series combine today, I was surprised at what I saw. I am getting accustomed to flagship case ih and the differences are many! I would enjoy a belt count comparison. Have you ever looked over a 7250 combine up close and personal? Just curious what jumps out at you about one. Thanks for the channel.
I do like your tool chest. You have encouraged me to get mine organized, although I don’t have NEAR the number of tools, or quality. Do you have to furnish all your tools. Or does the company help with that?
There are a lot of Nook cranny’s for things to get lost on the machines you work on. Do you very often lose bolts and tools that fall to places hard to get to?
I'm totally john deere mechanically dumb, but why doesn't all the exhaust gas go through the turbo? Is it some kind of bi-turbo system? BTW love the videos!
Those ratcheting spline drive double box wrenches from Gearwrench are arguably the best tool they make. If you’re reading this and don’t own them do yourself a favor and buy them. 86126 & 86142
Another great video Zeth, although I may have to stop watching as your a bad influence on me! Many years ago when I came off the tools to go into management, I sold 90% of my entire tool collection, but since I retired that Snap On Tool truck goes past my house each Monday on his way to one of the large estate farms beside me, and I may just have to stop him as he goes past and restart my collection again!
Could I have some of the part numbers for those RWAs. I work at a deere dealer in the northeast and our parts department has no idea what they are and how to find them.
Not the 30k tools. The 6 hour job to get to the gasket in the first place, wich should be much better engineered, is why stuff is expensive when it needs fixing.
Easily the best person on TH-cam who can work, film, and commentate. Seriously enjoy the content you make.
Thank you very much!
Well, he has been just telling Josh what to do lately😂.
@@jtbiberdorf you think ZK hasn’t been there with josh on jobs?
@@bigcheese370 I know he is a great mechanic. That is why they teamed him up with Josh.

Man O Man you have some investment in those tools!
You have to invest in tools to make money.

I like how you went through your tool box and chose the tools you need to do the job which you introduced us to.
Your videos are fantastic and that tool set up is really great and so organized!
I envy you and your Organization of your Awesome Toolbox however after doing jobs Ya know what it’s gonna take!👍👍🍀
That was a sweet tour and always the fixing thanks again
Wie immer, sehr guter Einblick in die Arbeit eines Landmaschinenmeckanikers , danke 🇨🇭😇
I hope you have a good accountant..Great video Zeth.
Crazy tool collection there
Hi from UK.....love your content, keep up the great work.
Thanks for sharing another great episode Zeth, 👍 keep up the excellent work .
Yea the impact swivels are amazing going to buy some for sure what a difference thanks for the tip

Looking forward to more power train and hydraulic work! I see Cat every day, so I love seeing the green stuff.
Thanks for another great video ZK.

Lol I like that saying let’s tool up lol should be a new logo for you
Amazing video. Thank you for taking the time to make it

You never disappoint with your videos. Been putting in my like ever since I found this channel. Happy subscriber 😊!
Sarting to sound more and more like VGG every video. I love it!!
Great video Zeth. Oh for the good old days when changing a manifold gasket was only a matter of removing the muffler and then the manifold nuts (you probably weren't born yet)! 😊
I believe I have found my dream job. Even tho I don’t know anything about John Deere
As always I look forward to watching your very impressive videos keep up the amazing work!!!
Thank you very much!
You’re very welcome
I’ve done the long studs with the thermostat housing on. You can grind a bit off the housing if need be
Beautiful red tools to keep that green iron moving. It doesn't get any better then Milwaukee tools!
Magnetic tray always a must

Glad I could help
What a toy box 😂I would love to play in the truck
You are the best. Thank You
Thanks for the coverage on your busy work day 😊

Awesome video. Thanks for the informative content. Keep up the good work.
You should post more videos of electric diagnostic
Great skills, and the tools to go with them ,I hope you have them insured?
Your video’s are awesome. I’m not complaining but the music is loud at midnight or 2 am and 😅it’s hard to get turned down before waking the wife. 😎
Where was your Sherpa Mr. Z? I miss seeing the Joshman in your videos.
You definitely have patience!!
I try

Right on 🤘🏼
Nice Vid !
love the tools! would i be able to get the part numbers of those turning tools by any chance?

Yeah I’ve looked over most brands. I’ll stick with Deere 💪🏼
My gosh that looks like fun. I hope this isn't all flat rate.
No flat rate in my world!

What about a stick of dynamite most important

I totally agree. I think they are better than the matco ones and are cheaper.
Do you have any issues with the double box end wrenchs being spline drive? I am debating on buying them

Go for it!
Why dont you have a small induction heater, that you can take with you up there instead of oxy
What tool box is that in your truck it fits perfectly
Ctech manufacturing
Bro once again what does that truck weigh with all that equipment on board ..and she is agasser?
19k. 6.2 gas. Drives like a dream.
Got love they pile all the crap on motor the Cascadia they Barry the motor
Could I have some of the part numbers for those RWAs. I work at a deere dealer in the northeast and our parts department has no idea what they are and how to find them.
I don't think you can get them anymore unfortunately. I use them sparingly.
Do have a milwaukee m12 wireless scolding iron
Yes you will see it on part 3.
It's the best soldering iron ever used
Are those cracks in the manifold under the bolts or was it cast that way? I’m looking around the 10:29 video time marker.
How much money do you have invested in tools
So how much does your farm assault vehicle weigh now , total gross weight ?
19k
Do you know if sloans has any used 15ft brush hogs close to monroe Wisconsin with 540 pto? Just asking cause I'm looking for one.
Have you ever weighed your truck loaded???
It’s 19k
30 k at least in tools and boxes and people wonder why it cost so much to get something repaired..
Not the 30k tools. The 6 hour job to get to the gasket in the first place, wich should be much better engineered, is why stuff is expensive when it needs fixing.
Is the truck yours or Sloan's
Sloan owns the truck. I own all the tools
You need a bigger service Truck with a crane on it look like to me
Maybe someday!
How much do you have in tools
Do alot of the guys in the shop have road trucks to
Yes there is 7 other trucks
what would you use a 2.5in crows foot for?
Hydraulic lines
What did you say is the name of that foam in your wrench drawer
Kaizen tool foam
Looks like u may need a bigger bag for all ur stuff lol
📹👍
I have learned that I don’t want to work on John Deere Equipment.
That job had to make you question your career choice. 😬
I’m right where i need to be! I wouldn’t want a job that wasn’t challenging. I’d get bored.
Deere and their stupid shielding. Although if i was putting a 13.5 Deere engine in something, I would try to hide it as well.
You say your dad makes tools what does your dad do for a job
He’s a tool and die maker / machinist.
I see you have a 1.7 million dollar insurance policy...
Yes they are insured.
