Thank you Ian. This is the before I started backing the boxes with normal A4. I’m glad I took the effort to get a few videos ahead for my holiday. I didn’t want to let subscribers down . Thanks for watching and commenting as always 👍👏
Thank you Paul. It’s a rare one to restore on TH-cam, probably because it’s an easy one to do. If there is such a thing. Sounds like your uncle had a great collection. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍👏
Thank you Mark. I had to do some easier ones to build up some videos while I’m away on holiday. Very satisfying to do. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Thank you. I know some of the models I restore are probably not that popular. For instance I don’t expect this to be high on everyone’s list. They all need doing though. Having said that overall I’m getting more subscribers than I normally do at the moment. Thanks for watching, commenting and of course subscribing 👍👏👏
I put the model in a plastic bowl outside due to fumes. I then add boiling water to cover it and then pour the caustic soda power over the top. I don’t measure it but I would guess two big table spoons heaped. I then let it fizz for a few minutes. In that time I will lift the model out with pliers to see how it’s doing. I may scrape some paint off. Don’t leave it in longer than required. Hope that helps, it is shown in some of my earlier videos. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Nice restoration, details and paint job 👌 👍

Great job Andy, simple does not mean easy as I have found out many times, these old cars have to live on.👍

Hi Andy how does caustic soda work and what is your method for using it,ie how much caustic soda to water. Cheers Malcolm
