What a save on the casting with this one Andy! The careful preparation and use of the filler really bought it back to life without loosing the all important casting details. Well done 👏👏
@@andysgaragediecastrestorations Thank you, not an expert, just good 👍, and enjoy doing cars and models . Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it. Mike .
Thank you Adrian. Painted up well after a lot of filler. I like my Ferraris to be red so once I knew the base and wheels were shot there was only one way to go. I left the decals as a surprise for viewers. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Jeez, Andy: that chassis was a bugger! What a basket case, indeed! Great rescue, and the Aston wheels look perfect... further research has revealed NO new information whatever, but thanks for the shout out. Maybe someone else will be able to shed more light! The end result is superb - a really spirited rescue attempt on something that could have so easily deserved the bin! Great work!
The rust was the key reason I chose the customised code 3 route. I will wait for another example to do the correct Dinky version. Thank you for watching and commenting 👍
Compared with what you started with Andy you have done an amazing job on this one. Great colour and the paint and decals really do take the model from manky to magnifico.
Thank you very much Ian. I’m supposed to be doing quick and easy ones at the moment to build up a stock of videos while I’m on holiday. They all seem to be needing a lot of work though. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

That's nice Andy. With all that corrosion on the base I would have had second thoughts.

Really nice Andy, I thought the base plate was going to snap, great rescue.
Thank you Buster. The plate was very thin , it’s the key reason I went down the customised route 👍 Thank you for watching and commenting
