yeah i brought my VX SS Victorian police interceptor in 2002 .... still got it and still enjoy it white 6 speed manual with all the little police extras ,including all the extra holes through out the interior 😅😂😅😂
My first v8 i had a vcm cam, 4into1 7/8 extractors high flow cats and 2.5 inch mild exhaust, throttle body, otr, underdrive, lowered nicely, gm ripshifter, 3.9 diff with harrop enduro cover, harrop 4 spot brakes and 290kw and 500nm at the wheels. All before i even touched the standard eurovox stereo. Cosmetically i removed the spoiler and had vx clubsport rear number plate garnish with working tail lights, filled in the reflectors in the rear bumper. Sitting on lenso dr1 18" with 255 tyres in the back. Was a great car. Now i just get around in my 600rwhp vf gts that isnt a pig to drive. Good video keep it up
My favorite Commodores in general have always been the VN - VS models, but like you, ever since I was a kid when they first came out I loved the VX SS shape. I remember getting a ride in one when it was near new and it blew my mind back then. I owned a couple of rougher examples in the past when they were worth next to nothing, but early this year I was fortunate to find a series 2 sting red manual example with only 140,000kms and in untouched original condition. I don't think i'll ever sell it. It's a late 01 build so only a year off club plates now.
I own VT S Supercharge Commodore , at my double garage at home only use it one every couple week just go to super market . anyway it’s my baby . just love to look it body of the car. remind me Peter Brock . God bless you Peter Brock .
For the real best model, it needs to be a series 2 VX.... because that is when they finally added toe link rear suspension rods it was supposed to have- like its Opel Brother.
I'm with you! I've got a VU 2 SS ute that I've had since 2005. It's got a turbo and is mint. I love it and will never get rid of it. I've been waiting for you to do this episode, so thanks!
Vx ss looks great at the time didn't like the taillights compared to vt ss but now i don't mind them. I have a vf ss 2017 which i think is great especially the LS3 motor. Styling wise i think vx ss is the best out of all ss commodores
There’s one currently for sale here in NZ. 02 VX clubsport in racing green but it’s been LS7 swapped and has a built T56. Wish I had the cash to buy it lol.
A friend of mine who's Dad worked at Holden had a couple of VY SS Cop Spec as their company car for a few months. They were rad and are my personal favorite. Just felt like the interior was a level above the VX and 2 above the VT. Felt like the VE was a step back, they were pretty good by the end of the VF but I never really liked the look and they aren't as reliable (although much, much faster)
Not bad 184k i have a series 1 v6 vx , 170k with all extra mods , pacemakers , 3.45 , mace tune , k&n plus more , thinking about putting a raptor SC on it , also thinking of selling etc
hay I have the exact same car. I just want to know with the grill bit on the front bumper is it possible to change it cause as they are just lines I wanted to change it up abit. plus I've tried too and I think it's connected to the actual front bumper. is that right?
Coppers got the fe2 suspension upgrade which is good coz the front ends on em were bad, they chopped out fronts, which is not super unusual for any v8 really. I had the manual, kept choppin out the rears for some weird reason 🤣
My Ford goes faster because it is green and yours is not ;) (this is one of the few Commodores that I will allow in my driveway, bald rear tyres and all)
@@nowhere529 l brought a 2015 25 anniversary clubsport r8 number 9 of only 100 made its a very good vehicle l have not had a single problem with it. I Have done a bit of work on it and it is making over 800 horsepower and 1100 NM of torque 👍

It is a slick looking car
I used to have a VXSS ex chaser.Had it for 15 years and traded it in.Wish I still had it.

The VN styling was way ahead of its time in the ‘80s.
But the VT-VZ has much better build quality.
225kW in the VX stock. I remember Red was the hottest colour with leather interior. It was my screensaver from Holden's website back in the day!

I own a WHII Statesman.
In NZ they are the most affordable LS1 Holden on the market.
Heavier but great legroom and trunk space.
My favourite will always be the VE series 1 SS followed by the VT SS.
Cool car none the less :)
I have a VE SS Series 1 V8 manual in black, and it's a beauty to drive and look at
@thomasnguyen1340 yeah I got a series 1 too, SSv in atomic green.
6sp manual. Absolutely love it.

I’ve got a vt ss 240kw at wheels and love it
I have the 5.0L manual with 297000 kms on it and it still drives smoother than my 06 Ve SS especially the gearbox

Actually HQ SS was the first SS!
I think he meant commodore SS
beat me to it !
the younger generations wouldn't understand what was going on in the 1970's
😅😂😅😂
Hold mode and up buttons on while starting up a standard one and you will get digital speedo volts and other stuff
The cobwebs on the passenger side mirror ad 10 hp.
Looks better without the spoiler.
VX Clubsport, manual in racing green is my ultimate favourite, I have a VS SS Ute

First SS was a HQ Holden.
Police spec cars, should also have a modified shifter,, you can pull it back to 2nd gear
My series 2 VT SS has an x on the tag I think that’s because it had the engine repaired or replaced due to the oil issue under warranty?
Not bad 184k i have a series 1 v6 vx , 170k with all extra mods , pacemakers , 3.45 , mace tune , k&n plus more , thinking about putting a raptor SC on it , also thinking of selling etc
Really nice car, love the sound. I have a 2008 VE Ute (slightly modified) you are welcome to review…
@@mauricecoutanceau2297 Hi Maurice! I’d definitely be interested, feel free to message me on IG, FB or email me at info@shedshirts.com.au
Thoughts on the VU SS ute? I'm keen on getting one
Love them. Owned one for years
It's a nice vehicle but the vf is the best
Not really a Holden anymore, just mass produced GM plastic. The LS3 is the only good thing about the VF.

Weren’t all ss fitted with fe2?
HQ SS.

The interior was horrendous looking. The VY/VZ interior refresh was much better.
Hq ss
got 12 vy -vzs come see me😉wh' statemans vx calais series 2 v8 calais series 1 super charged.
Its a really boring car. Nothing like the earlier brock ss commodores
@@mrporsche4236 check back next week
Holden didnt get any commodore perfect.
After the mid 80s their products were terrible compared to the rest of the world.
LIES!
If you don't have anything decent to say then keep your mouth shut hey
The vf commodore was easily the best Australian car ever and the vf hsv was the best 4 door performance car for its price
@@JohnWinzil Imagine if that line continued for a few more years, yeah the VF was awesome.
