My favorite Commodores in general have always been the VN - VS models, but like you, ever since I was a kid when they first came out I loved the VX SS shape. I remember getting a ride in one when it was near new and it blew my mind back then. I owned a couple of rougher examples in the past when they were worth next to nothing, but early this year I was fortunate to find a series 2 sting red manual example with only 140,000kms and in untouched original condition. I don't think i'll ever sell it. It's a late 01 build so only a year off club plates now.
A friend of mine who's Dad worked at Holden had a couple of VY SS Cop Spec as their company car for a few months. They were rad and are my personal favorite. Just felt like the interior was a level above the VX and 2 above the VT. Felt like the VE was a step back, they were pretty good by the end of the VF but I never really liked the look and they aren't as reliable (although much, much faster)

It is a slick looking car
The cobwebs on the passenger side mirror ad 10 hp.
VX Clubsport, manual in racing green is my ultimate favourite, I have a VS SS Ute
My favourite will always be the VE series 1 SS followed by the VT SS.
Cool car none the less :)
I have a VE SS Series 1 V8 manual in black, and it's a beauty to drive and look at
@thomasnguyen1340 yeah I got a series 1 too, SSv in atomic green.
6sp manual. Absolutely love it.
Hold mode and up buttons on while starting up a standard one and you will get digital speedo volts and other stuff
Actually HQ SS was the first SS!
I think he meant commodore SS

My series 2 VT SS has an x on the tag I think that’s because it had the engine repaired or replaced due to the oil issue under warranty?
Thoughts on the VU SS ute? I'm keen on getting one
Love them. Owned one for years
Its a really boring car. Nothing like the earlier brock ss commodores
@@mrporsche4236 check back next week
Holden didnt get any commodore perfect.
After the mid 80s their products were terrible compared to the rest of the world.
