I find that clever sabotage is more funny than round ending sabotage. I was a clown hacked robot one round. He told me to "go prank all the non crew" so I zipped over to engineering and just unbolted the smes's.. took then forever to figure out why power was dead.
bit more high concept: find an out of the way spot and connect the red pipes to the blue pipes. the moment there's a big fire the distro will start spreading superheated gas around the station
Atmos problems and how to fix them, a quick guide: Plasma fire in the hallways? Call evac Frezon in the hallways? Call evac Random pipe gone and no one can find it? Call evac Did something hit the miners? Call evac Atmos is rough. If you can't fix it in 5 minutes, it's probably just fucked. People will inevitably die because they can't find oxy/n2/space suit/fire suit, people are inevitably mad, people will inevitably open doors making the problem worse. Still love playing atmos. Phoron will make us rich.

My personal favorite was piping all of distro into an air injector array in space, then putting a bunch of passive vents on the distro network. This effectively spaces the whole station without breaking a single wall. Though, I can't really do it much now that syndies aren't allowed to cause chaos for no reason.
Cutting off waste and cycling it back to distro is more powerful. At first you had one room filled with CO2. Now all of the station's rooms are filled with CO2 and it does not go away unless atmosinas see that there's shit in distro.
Yep, if you're a syndicate and want to end the round early since your obj are done, hacking air alarms is the best way to do it, if you disable pressure sensors, it won't even alarm people that something is wrong.
If you manage to "find" a plasma or even frezon can and want to spice up the work enviroment in a certain department, connectors are basically free and pretty fast to build. Bonus points if you bolt the doors beforehand (we wouldnt want anyone to hack in from maints would we) and leave a flare (stop littering) inside. offering some smokes beforehand also works.
I might be the only Atmos that checks the air alarms first, plus with the removal of fire door remotes, it's much harder to control the spread of Atmos failures. Although, it is GREAT fun to filter out oxygen and nitrogen on the scrubbers and watch the rest of your Atmos team wonder why there's no air

Honestly, this isn't that bad at all. Distro suddenly losing pressure due to sabotage? Use a pneumatic valve that detects the leak and stop the pump with signal valve, that'll save the air. Degridding the miners? Use some steel and make some floor, that completely counter that, the only remaining thing is C4 ing the gas miners. Alarm sabotage? Annoying, but just make sure you recycle waste so it's not wasted. As for rulebreak? Self-antag = Ban. Recycling oxygen isn't a great idea imo, what if someone uses panic on an air alarm during a plasma fire or pumps burn mix into waste? Superheated gas straight into the miners and in turn into distro
@@wsketchy well if you're expecting it to be to hot you can use a space radiator to greatly cool the waste so you only need to heat it up, you can also reduce flow rate to ensure air is properly conditioned, otherwise have the option to vent waste to space in event of failure.
Atmos do not want you to know this but you can drain station with all of scrubbers using simple network connector or multitool and connecting them to your hacked one or few air alarms at fringes of station or some maints room.
Now Engi has a power monitoring station that displays the entire power network. If you’re cutting wires, the cuts can be spotted on this console…but there is no Atmotherics monitoring station. Steal a pipe, and that must be found manually.
Engineering doesn’t want you to know this, but if you connect several departments together in a LV grid network, the demand will eventually get high enough that the NON-connected departments will start losing power. This strat’s great for subtle sabotage, since you can connect pretty much everything from maints.
some good old fashion atmos sabo, cant wait for people to start putting pumps everywhere that way you can just backtrack the sabo easier, IIRC SS14 dosnt have the same issue with many pipenets causing massive lag server wide.... its actually kinda strange now looking back how few "atmos checkpoints" exist in ss14 just like... in maints or closets....
I USED TO SABOTAGE AIR ALARMS ALL THE TIME AS SYNDIE LMAO it's so strong, because it's not obviously messed up and it can cause problems for large parts of the station if set up right. This combined with cutting power to doors and leaving them open creates an instant lethal environment for a ton of players, which overloads medical and sec, which let's you do what you need to do.
yeah someone from atmos taught me how to handle air alarms, due to all the recent atmos problems about air and shit, ive been hacking into them as a antag and turning them onto drain to fully suck out all the air of hallways. i only did it once but its surprisingly effective to block hallways. like you dont want anyone coming to bridge? hack the air alarm and make it drain all the air in the hallway, only engineers will approach to fix. gives you time to break in

Wizden servers don't start you with a T-ray as Atmos. Only way to get them is borrow an engineers or hit the vending machine's three. Unless the engineer techs took them all. Goob however does give it's Atmos techs a T-ray round start
Yep, happened to me last night. Distro pressure going out was fine, but parts of the station were at 40kPa. I was the only atmosian and had two engineers who were fighting other fires. It was awful.

destruction not proportional is actually not "bad" as an antag if after 30 minute and your goal has been reached to force evac. However singuloose/tesloose that round remove indescriminately is still bad. Station sabotage post 30 minutes is fine.

I once tried to plasmaflood sec (as a jani) by ordering my kobold to buy plasma cans and connecting them to sec distro, it didn't worked, but maybe i could play the long game and connect the miner directly to sec by sneaking into outside atmos and making a pipe line to station. On a sidenote, may i ask you to check on leviathan 63509 nukie round? I would not call it impressive but its a combination of stuff that works and i dont see done a lot (crate ops, walling off places and comms jammer for example)
There isn't a plasma mined any longer, the best way to flood sec is with a plasma canister a volumetric pump and to cut off all other distro sources so that they only get plasma.

Without any massive spacings or events you can survive quite a while without distro, but the moment you need air you're fucked.
