@Hweeson from someone who has 1,500+ hours in ss13 it used to mean someone who was good at the game in all ways but mostly combat, healing, hacking etc..an example would be an unarmed man taking down multiple officers and escaping untouched. Now the meaning is diluted and doesn't mean much of anything
I am a stealth syndie player and here are some tips I picked up: ●Always thoroughly plan out your next move and the possible scenarios that can follow (This will allow you to be prepared for what is to come while executing your next move) ●Manage TC wisely (What can you replace potentially expensive equipment with to make the job less expensive but still quick and inconspicuous?) ●Networking is your friend and foe (Found a new friend? have a plan to kill them and take their TC in the event they are no longer useful to you (or they betray you)) ●High security objective? no problem. (Just take extra planning and precautions, get to know your objective and those guarding it. Once you know exactly when your target will be alone and vulnerable, thats when you strike quickly and get out. Example: when stealing HOS's emergency orders, you know they are in the locker. get inside security real fast posing under the intention to do some kind of service there (janitorial, lawyer ect.) when nobody is looking, 2 quick swipes of an emag amd get as far away from the office as you can while looking inconspicuous) ●Storage implants are your best friend Storage implants allow you to keep your small contraband and objectives safe in the event security wants to kick your ass, do it right and they won't find a thing on you they can prosecute for. (Got big contra/objectives? next tip)) ●Big contraband and objectives? (Go into a maintenance shaft preferably near evac and that is often secluded. (barricaded off areas are even better, solars is best if you have EVA) put a locker in your chosen area preferably in a dark corner. Anchor the locker down and break lights near it to make it even harder to see. weld the locker shut for good measure after depositing your items. when it is time to pack up and go to CentCom, retrieve your locker, stuff everything in a duffel bag and hope to god you aren't slipped) ●Know your kill targets (So you need to kill someone? Get to know them, know their job, weaknesses, strengths, areas they frequent, basically watch them for a good while to get necessary info. Then you construct your kill plan: Where do you strike? How do you strike? How do you get them there? How do you clean up? Once your plan is done you study a little further to make sure it will work, then you commence. ●Tough interior? try exterior. (So you gotta steal something like captain's jetpack? know the area you are stealing from, if it has tough security on the inside, check the outside for vulnerability such as windows you can see your target from. break the window, grab the locker and get out quick as possible. Once you are out, you break the locker and enjoy your loot.) ●Always hide your identity when striking Going to steal/kill something? before you commence your master plan, hide your identity, if all goes wrong, they don't know who you are and you live another day. Hopefully you all will find these tips helpful.
The biggest two bits of advice I can offer to a Syndicate Agent is make friends with the Clown and or Mime. In a pinch they'll likely slip an Officer for you or even outright prevent your arrest at times, depending on the server at least. Second, if you need to break into a department to either get closer to a target or an objective you need to steal; try asking that department head for access first. You'd be surprised how far some Command staff are willing to promote you for simply being polite. As an example I have gone from being a lowly Mime to being Acting Captain, HoP and HoS by being nice to Command staff and making them laugh. Granted none of this really helps Nuclear Operatives but you never know what's going to happen on MRP, I've seen a mad lad prevent the stations destruction with a game of chess before.
this is a bit reason why i stopped playing wizden , command is often most clueless , i had so many times command refuse to arest confirmed sindicate with undenialable proof of guilt becouse "second person told them something else" , despite shells , blood and fingeprints to let them go , i just not find wizden fun enough due that , you ether kill syndicate and dump his body or command going to let them go 50/50 of time.
ARMOKS TIPS: 1) Always steal a jug of bicar and tricor and a needle (better than bruise packs and whatnot) 2) Use 1 TC on syndicate soap, it’s the single best purchase 3) Steal noslips from jani, don’t buy them 4) Never use a duffle bag, speed is what wins combat 5) Don’t ply fair, as antag youre designed to win most 1v1 combats, and that’s still risky, try to use everything you can to your advantage. 6) Never engage in combat wounded, always heal. 7) It’s easier to kill captain and go to his room with his id than to break in. 8) Constantly be changing your identity if you’re going loud. 9) Slips are the grand equalizer, use them
8) nah, its not. Emag+invis box 🗿 Edit: even after stealing some things from captain, ypu can make hiding spot for all of your loot with invis box without any problems

A lot of the time you don't even need to kill your targets because someone will kill them for you. I've seen someone greentext three murders because there was a Tesla on the loose. If the head has stayed behind until the last second it's a perfect time to merc them. Use. Your. Goddamn. Codewords. They're right there in the character panel. 2TC will get you a syndicate encryption key and let you talk to a traitor buddy in private. Just don't all gather in virology like we did because that's the one time Sec will actually be looking at the cameras. Why work together? You can do a lot more. You can bundle your TC and buy a loot crate, you can get something ridiculous like 120TC worth of random items for 30(?) TC. You can give each other access to your departments using a traitor ID. You can get your guy to kill their head if you need them dead. They can ask you for things like Chloral Hydrate if you're a chemist, and you can get them to give you Gats if they're a botanist. You can go loud together and take down much bigger obstacles. You can BASICALLY BE A NUKE OPS TEAM. USE. YOUR. GODDAMN. CODEWORDS!
My first full greens traitor round was because despite being too much of a coward to kill the clown (He kidnapped CMO, giving me the opportunity to take him down, but then I sorta let CMO handle him), late in the round i just heard a sad honk in maints and some guy dragged him out dead and ssd. It is so nice finally knowing the numbers behind ointment, gauze and bruise packs. And, knowing I can just turn jump suits into gauze, I will save a lot of medical supplies. No one will miss the patient gowns and scrubs in the back, and breaking a lightbulb will give the janitor an excuse to visit.
