Hey! Even though this is a month old, I just wanted to say I'm a newbie getting into SS14 and I'm glad to see your videos! They really help out, probably the best tutorials for the game I've seen! I really appreciate the effort you put into teaching players, and I thank you a lot! I'd like to imagine some day when I become much more avid, I'll be one to help newbie players on the station. Keep up the great work!
I should make a preliminary video showing myself learning it, it's so inconsistent it almost feels bugged. I have made decent progress on making some pretty good plants, so I just need more testing.

Thanks, learned a lot. One question: you fixed the tritium gas buildup but you didn't fix any leaks. Where did the gas come from? Or is it just a simple in-game event I shouldn't read too much into?
It's 25 minutes long, and I on purposely avoided gas laws and such which is rather helpful to playing atmos. The fun thing about atmos, at least in our servers is, if you just pretend you know what you're doing, not a single person questions it.
We need a pro guide for professions. :D Basics are essential, thanks a lot for them, but what do you do when shit hits the fan? What if someone sabotaged pipes somewhere? How do you locate this? What should you prepare for fixing this type of situation? You can't just make a pipe on the fly right? Also can one refill oxygen/nitrogen tanks?
I shoulda covered it but you simply make new pipes in the G crafting menu. I'll make a note about it really quick in my pinned comment. And yeah to refill a gas tank you just put it in a canister, open it, and close it after setting the pressure high.

Bit late here, but I'm incredibly offended by that into. I most certainly DO want to do math when I play games thank you very much. ...then again I'm an engineer at my day job so....
I had someone get pretty angry that I set all the pumps to max pressure, saying that different stations have different gas miners and it chokes the system if you do that. That sounds like they were taught wrong?
@@Liltenhead I don't either. I didn't think the system could be bottle knecked. Because apparently some miners on smaller stations only output at around 300KPI where larger ones output at 4000KPI or something. But, they were angry and decided it was screwing them over. The Wiki guide says the mixer should be about 310 but... otherwise, I don't think it matters. Atmos Techs are weird and get a lot of information from various sources
@@Liltenhead if you have the time you should turn the mapping guide into a video format. I'm sure there're a lot of people eager to create maps, but get daunted by the starting process

To make frezon you need to combine nitrogen, oxygen And tritium at -200 Celsius

Oh it's simply a random event, it just spawns gas for a bit then stops. There's nothing else to do but clean the gas.
SS14 could come up with a reason to pump trit all over the station, but that would make antags ALOT more powerful…

idk mapping is really inconsistent i think some miners are different, but i dont know what they mean by "choke" it
