He is a seasoned professional, so different than Freddie to not foster comparisons. Had Freddie never lived I could see Queen with Paul Rodgers as lead singer having been a successful band, though not the phenomenon that they are. In my mind I had considered Rodgers as the best contemporary fit, and I was pleased to see Brian and Roger thought so as well.

While Paul Rodgers is an awesome singer, Steve Perry is "The Voice." Hardly anyone ever has been able to correctly sing and sound like him. That isn't to take away from Paul.
With Paul Rodgers Queen had a rock edge to them . The music was most definetely heavier than when the played with Freddie , now it is back to Freddie style with Adam. Queen really know how to replace their front man with great singers . Also they change thibgs time to time keeping everybody happy . Never seen Brian so happy on stage , he comes into his own here.

Mauricio, a pesar de haberlo subido en el 2012, es la primera que veo...mejor dicho, disfruto de este gran concierto en Chile. Tuve la oportunidad de verlos en Vélez-Argentina unos días después y me sorprende lo bien que se ve y la edición de cámaras...lamentablemente acá en Argentina no tenemos esa suerte y solo contamos con un multicam (bueh..tres cámaras) realizado por fans. En ése momento contaba con 28 años y fue una gran experiencia para mí poder estar muy cerca (estaba a dos metros de Brian y a tres de la pasarela central). Te agradezco por compartir esta joya que mueve tanto los sentimientos y eriza la piel al escucharlo a Freddie. Abrazo fraternal desde este lado de la cordillera.

Somebody English guy said 2005, that maybe first concerts in Sheffield with Paul Rodgers is the best ever early that year. They had one in Japan too at September in a same year and Rodgers was opened his voice for everybody. Still I think this case is the best. I'm a Finnish guy and my language is not English. Still I try.
And if you talking about imitate, look at the Marc Martel, he is not an imitator but very close to Mercurys voice. Unfortunately Brian and Roger dont want to repeat the story of a legendary voice of Freddie and dont want to be at his shadow again, they want to be main stars as we see that in the movie. So its never gonna happen and we only can ask questions why they took Lambert instead of Martel
I saw him with The Paul Rodgers Ban at our local Indian casino a few months ago. I thought he sounded great. What a venue...every seat is almost within touching distance. Same with George Thorogood and the Destroyers last month. Rocked the place. !!

Paul Rogers does such a better job than Adam "Tinkerbell" Lambert. His voice is more textured and experienced. Adam's effort was Queen-lite. THIS video of Paul Rogers taking the helm of QUEEN makes me wonder why they didn't do a huge tour. I'd pay to see this any day of the week!
