The ending of Rouge One made that movie one of my favourites in the series and that scene in particular is by far the best scene in Star Wars to date. Before that for me it was the Duel of Fates.
@Seth Schmidt I was going to say spectacle wise, just thought it took away from it, but story wise there's certainly better scenes like the Cloud City Vader and Luke fight.
@Seth Schmidt So well done, one thing that sticks out in my mind is the light coming across the Death Star as they put the dish into place.

(again with friends). he talked for 5 hours about the last jedi (by himself) just to name a few

@@FullFatVideos I'm all for less toxic disagreements in the Star Wars Community, "spreading positivity" however, for many of us would basically equal to lying to ourselves.
Many decisions have been made, that we feel were disrespectful to us fans and judging from the lack of proper acknowledgement to our criticisms, I couldn't necessarily say that I'm totally sure our voices really were heard.
Going forward I just want people who may love most new things Star Wars to understand, that us more critical fans of the series, have justified reasons for our opinions and that we aren't necessarily a minority.
As to what is being done with Star Wars at the Moment, I'm extremely satisfied with the Mandalorian series, glad Disney is bringing back Clone Wars and I'm at the very least giving The Rise of Skywalker a chance to change my view on the sequel Trilogy, as all of us should.
The hell you do your criticisms always break down to the simple fact that you don’t like that the original trio isn’t the focus anymore. You may preach about change but you hate that their actually veering away from those familiar tropes.
I’ve gotten used to a constantly changing cast in several series I know. I know things can’t go the same way forever not if I want these to keep coming out.
Star wars is a series that’s begging for people to go wild with imagnation. I want Disney to feel comfortable enough to really try some unique stuff with Star Wars.

The deleted scene with senator Organa and the other Senators in Episode 3 is called seeds of the rebellion. It’s a nice tie in to what Biggs says about the Rebellion.

He's a pretty relatable and sympathetic villain. In him, they managed to create far more than simply a ripoff of Darth Vader. His chemistry with Rey's also one of The Last Jedi's high points.

I've very much been re-discovering my love of Star Wars recently. For a good few years I still liked it, but was just kinda neutral about it. But recently I've really been getting into it again, and Star Wars: Always has been a huge part of that I think, as has this video
So obvious the love that you have for Star Wars. Refreshing to see and almost brought me to tears. Thanks for the enjoyable 18 minutes and this is I think your greatest video so far.

@@jeck8005 prequels were great. They get us great world of the Republic and Jedi, told the arc of Anakin Skywalker which gets more sense to OT. And they did the univerce more serious and mature. Of course, the epic star battles and saber fights...If you don't like it because of stupid reasons (Jar Jar, midichlorians, love dialogues), it is such your problem.
What did sequels bring to us? Nothing at all.

Robert Ortiz-Wilson lol how? It’s the best they probably could’ve done with continuing the story. Old characters are used effectively and not paraded for nostalgia, expands the mythos, introduces a bunch of new characters and is introducing a new generation of kids to Star Wars. Also just a small thing but I love how they brought back the use of practical effects in this new trilogy too.
But yeah, totally undid the original trilogy.... if anything the sequels dropped the ball. Especially Yoda, fuck prequel Yoda.

Couldn't put it any better myself, and I 100% agree. When I see Star Wars, I don't see it as the prequel trilogy, the sequel trilogy, the Disney era, the original trilogy, etc. I see Star Wars...and only Star Wars. I wish that more people would see it that way as well.

That film is a scar on the Star Wars canon.
The sequel trilogy should have been headed by one person (a la the MCU), or at least 3 people with very similar visions (the OT) for how it should have played out
Having 2 directors who clearly disagreed vehemently with each other's views regarding the trilogy, was possibly the worst thing Disney could have done.
Regardless of whether or not you like The Last Jedi, you cannot deny that the sequel trilogy lacks direction, cohesion and internal consistency, in the films themselves, the trilogy and indeed with the saga as a whole.

The one thing I wish this edit had was Yoda dialogue. Yoda's speeches about the force, fear, failure, and the light versus the dark are the best scenes in Star Wars, imo.

This makes me look at TLJ differently. I still have other issues with the movie, but Luke is his father's son, so him making the irrational decision to kill his own nephew isn't entirely out of character.
Andrew Goldsmith it was never out of character. Luke was doing it for a split second but got out of it immediately like he did with Vader in Jedi and realized his fault.
It is the tragedy of children repeating their parent's mistakes. Apparently not that many people picked up on that.
Ah, but Luke hesitated at the last minute and didn't do it. Vader killed the Jedi younglings without hesitation. Luke's hesitation made himself vulnerable to Ben's counter-attack.

It uses clips from Solo and Rouge One, but nothing from either Gendy Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars or Dave Filoni’s The Clone Wars, and therefore cannot be the greatest five minutes of Star Wars.

Always is so good, though. I've been diving deep into Star Wars since binging it before Rise and the novels and setting are so good. Being so deep into the setting I couldn't help but tear up while watching it.

Perhaps whoever directed The Rise of Skywalker took some inspiration from Star Wars: Legends, where Palpatine cloned himself to ensure his Empire and legacy never truly died, and had some Sith Inquisitors or Hands such as Mara Jade who were loyal to him, revive one of those clones. Just a thought, though I do know that Disney has dismissed Legends as Canon.
Mainly to allow directorial freedom and not to confuse newer or casual fans...

In my opinion, for this new trilogy to be worth it, Kylo Ren is the one that needs to be redeemed and end the terror that his lineage has created. With him having a reconciliation with both Luke (in ghost form) and Leah.
To me, he is the most interesting and conflicted character in the new trilogy and I will be disappointed if he dies a one note villain, controlled by the emperor.

Jedi Spartan 38 I disagree. The mere idea in itself is compelling enough to possibly surpass RotJ. No army is weaker than the Empire in RotJ, and no duelist that is so well renowned in previous movies has gone out like such a chump. TRoS can provide what RotJ didn’t get right.
Disney has pissed off a vocal minority. And from the leaks it seems like they got it pretty much perfect.

Also Palpatine isn't one of the best duellists, the reason he eviscerated half of the Jedi sent to arrest him in RotS is because they probably didn't expect him to do a spinning leap across the table (and he's at least subtle in the novelisation by getting one to lower their defence) and Kit Fisto was a poor choice for the mission as his lightsaber form is ideal for multiple opponents. When it gets to the end of the fight, Mace wins. Then when Yoda fights him, he soon gets as much distance between them to throw Senate pods at him. Also before you bring up his fight with Maul in TCW, a) he trained him and b) Maul was defeated by Padawan Kenobi.
I'm not saying that he's terrible but he's more focused on Force Abilities and he doesn't often get a chance to practice duelling (which he is shown to have somewhat of a dislike for) due to being an undercover Sith Lord with control over the entire Galaxy at various points, even before establishing the Galactic Empire.

Legends as far as I'm concerned is the real EU. Disney's Star Wars is just an unofficial AU with no involvement from George Lucas, something the EU had a lot of.
