Interesting idea by running the receiver off of one cell from your 3s lipo. Only concern is that you unevenly discharge your flight pack and balance charging would also be difficult. My advice would be: 1. Buy the $7.50 BEC in the description and wait two days for shipping. 2. If you are desperate to fly today, make your own power supply from two AA or AAA batteries. It is a little ghetto but would work... th-cam.com/video/buyEeqBhrcQ/w-d-xo.html&app=desktop
Why is that all the videos I can find the battery is plugged into the bind, and the bind is plugged into the battery? Are you doing something wrong or is the receiver mislabelled?
While I am at it I just got a Turnigy HVSBEC as well, and I can't see an instruction sheet anywhere to tell me where I need the jumper for 5 and 6volts, do you know?
I'm not sure I understand the question fully, sorry. During the binding process both the bind cable and the 5V should be connected to the receiver. I'm not sure on the HVSBEC where the jumper is located to switch between 5 and 6 volts.
If you look at the writing on the 9X8Cv2 the top red print says BIND, and directly below that it says BAT. Every video I have seen (including yours) people plug the bind plug into the BAT pins on the receiver, and the battery connector into the BIND pins on the receiver. Did Turnigy mark the receiver wrong with the red typed words back to front, or are people doing it the wrong way in the videos?
Have been in contact with a Hobby King product specialist and he gave me a link to binding. hobbyking.com/media/file/967288036X1102364X36.txt How to Bind Turnigy 9X Radio to the 9X Receiver ----------------------------------------------- by Red.13 1. Have the 9X Radio turned OFF. 2. Insert the Bind plug into the last set of 3 pins marked as Bind on the Receiver. 3. Power up the Receiver. You will see the red LED, inside the Receiver, flashing at a pretty fast rate. 4. Press and hold the Bind button on the back of the 9X Radio. 5. Turn the 9X Radio ON. The LED inside the receiver will go solid ON indicating the Radio and Receiver are now bound together. 6. Release the Bind button on the 9X Radio and remove the Bind plug from the Receiver. Test all channels. You are ready to fly.
Hi can anyone help please or make any suggestions. The original receiver supplied with my Turnigy 9X transmitter was received bound but I am now trying to bind a second receiver, exactly the same type as shown in the video, with the transmitter set to the 2nd model, but when I connect the battery the light on the UBEC lights up solid and the light on the receiver flashes very faintly, I then press the button on the back of the transmitter and switch it on but the receiver remains flashing and does not bind. I also want to add a third model using an Orange R620X receiver. Any help will be much appreciated, thank you Ian Brear
Evening Ian, thanks for the comment. It sounds like you are doing everything correct and the receiver is obviously getting power. Double check that the bind cable is in tact, if that doesn’t work you might try buying another receiver. Sorry I can’t help more. James
No. This is WRONG. The BATTERY needs plugging into the BIND plug and the binding lead needs putting in the plug next to it (at the end). That's how I got mine working as well as other TH-camrs doing it that way..
Thanks a lot.
It will come in handy when i flash the x9 with opentx
Nice and easy ...just the way I like it ... Thank you very much for video
Appreciate the comment and the thumbs up sir! What model is this going on??

James
my rx doesnt have a led light
Hmmm I have 5ish of these rx's and they all have a red led. That being said, it isn't very bright and can be difficult to see through the sticker.
@@JamesBrossart hey thanks for responding when I bought the RX it did but somehow it broke so I'm going to get a new one
