How to Bind Turnigy 9X Transmitter to Receiver: Binding Procedure Tutorial for RC HobbyKing 9XR RF9X 9ch Receiver Module:
    Transmitter and Receiver:
    amzn.to/2rVWxby
    Receiver Only:
    amzn.to/2sE6lEZ
    BEC:
    amzn.to/2rBMnvW
    4 AA Battery Holder:
    amzn.to/2sEd69w
Here is a quick tutorial on the Turnigy 9X binding procedure of the receiver with the remote, if you have any questions please leave
them below and I will try to get back to you ASAP!
I'm using this on a 1/18th scale Team Associated 18MT running a 3S LiPo and Brushless 6100KV Toro motor. I dug it out of my closet and was fixing it up but could only find an old 9X receiver to install on it.
For this bind you will need:
    -Turnigy 9X Remote
    -Turnigy Reciever
-Binding Cable (you could also make one from an old servo lead if you lost the one it came with)
-5-7 Volts of DC power. I use a BEC to drop the voltage of my 3s main lipo to the 5V the receiver requires. (link below). I have also seen people with 4 AA's in series (link also below)
Make sure the battery is unplugged, and your remote is off.
Start by plugging in the 5v (BEC in my case) to the receiver. This will go into the last port in the 9X receiver and note the orientation
black or ground lead is on bottom and the +5V power in the middle. The top connection of the BEC is not used
Next plug in the bind cable to the next available port in the 9Xr receiver. (This is the port right below where you just plugged the BEC)
Plug your battery into the BEC supplying the reciever with power (notice the flashing red light in the reciever)
On the back of the Turnigy remote press and hold the black button. While holding it, turn on the remote and note the flashing led
on the receiver has now turned solid. The receiver is now bound. Disconnect the bind plug, restart the remote and receiver, plug in a servo and test it out!

I have a question, I dont have a battery pack for binding and I only have the lipo and an ESC and everything else too is it still possible to bind?

Interesting idea by running the receiver off of one cell from your 3s lipo. Only concern is that you unevenly discharge your flight pack and balance charging would also be difficult. My advice would be:
      1. Buy the $7.50 BEC in the description and wait two days for shipping.
      2. If you are desperate to fly today, make your own power supply from two AA or AAA batteries. It is a little ghetto but would work...

Hi can anyone help please or make any suggestions. The original receiver supplied with my Turnigy 9X transmitter was received bound but I am now trying to bind a second receiver, exactly the same type as shown in the video, with the transmitter set to the 2nd model, but when I connect the battery the light on the UBEC lights up solid and the light on the receiver flashes very faintly, I then press the button on the back of the transmitter and switch it on but the receiver remains flashing and does not bind. I also want to add a third model using an Orange R620X receiver. Any help will be much appreciated, thank you Ian Brear

Evening Ian, thanks for the comment. It sounds like you are doing everything correct and the receiver is obviously getting power. Double check that the bind cable is in tact, if that doesn’t work you might try buying another receiver. Sorry I can’t help more.

Why is that all the videos I can find the battery is plugged into the bind, and the bind is plugged into the battery? Are you doing something wrong or is the receiver mislabelled?

While I am at it I just got a Turnigy HVSBEC as well, and I can't see an instruction sheet anywhere to tell me where I need the jumper for 5 and 6volts, do you know?

    • @JamesBrossart
      @JamesBrossart  7 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm not sure I understand the question fully, sorry. During the binding process both the bind cable and the 5V should be connected to the receiver.
I'm not sure on the HVSBEC where the jumper is located to switch between 5 and 6 volts.

If you look at the writing on the 9X8Cv2 the top red print says BIND, and directly below that it says BAT. Every video I have seen (including yours) people plug the bind plug into the BAT pins on the receiver, and the battery connector into the BIND pins on the receiver. Did Turnigy mark the receiver wrong with the red typed words back to front, or are people doing it the wrong way in the videos?

How to Bind Turnigy 9X Radio to the 9X Receiver
      -----------------------------------------------
      by Red.13
      1. Have the 9X Radio turned OFF.
      2. Insert the Bind plug into the last set of 3 pins marked as Bind on the Receiver.
      3. Power up the Receiver. You will see the red LED, inside the Receiver, flashing at a pretty fast rate.
      4. Press and hold the Bind button on the back of the 9X Radio.
      5. Turn the 9X Radio ON. The LED inside the receiver will go solid ON indicating the Radio and Receiver are now bound together.
      6. Release the Bind button on the 9X Radio and remove the Bind plug from the Receiver.
Test all channels. You are ready to fly.

@@DodgyBrothersEngineering Did you ever get an answer to your original question?

  • @susansinclair4914
    @susansinclair4914 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

No. This is WRONG. The BATTERY needs plugging into the BIND plug and the binding lead needs putting in the plug next to it (at the end). That's how I got mine working as well as other TH-camrs doing it that way..
