Great video mate. I have two of these. One with a uhf system for long range and a standard one. Both are V2's I think their frequency hopping worked a lot better.
I switched from Mode 1 to Mode 2 - never regretted it. I find Mode 2 a lot easier to fly and though high end multicopters will have the ability to change over mode most instructors are Mode 2. For fixed wing now I am not changing the throttle every time I turn which is really annoying in Mode 1 It was a bit nerve wracking at first and a lot of simulator time was needed however I have never looked back. Mind you I had to convert my Taranis twice. I bought it Mode 2 when I still flew Mode 1 so I changed it - then changed it back when I switched.
Yep it was not easy alright. I ABSOLUTELY will not fly a Mode 1 plane now as I think I would have to start again. I still have some mode 1 moments even now after nearly a year. I very occasionally move the throttle instead of the elevator.
Hi Andrew, thanks for the peek inside the 9x, it's what I fly. I've got a question for you, I'd like to get into building and flying FT mini sized planes and I'm looking for a smaller receiver that the turnigy 8 channel, can you recommend a solution?
Hi Andrew, that demonstration looked "relatively" simple as I have watched other people do conversions and seemed to get lost in the complexity. Question: Would this style of conversion also work on the Turnigy 9XR? And then after the mod just select the new mode?? Thanks

That would not be easy, I couldn't switch if I wanted to now.

Saved me yewww your a legend
Do I get the parts needed to make both sticks spring loaded? I want to use it for my boats and car.
Um, better ask on RCGroups.
So that's how you do it. Do you know if you will be reviewing the dynam primo? Looks like a great slow flyer.
Yes in the next few days, I have it in the box. It does look excellent.
I need a recommendation for a receiver that works with ppm for the 9x
Good question, anyone?
Thanks for this mate, Cheers!
No worries!

Hobby King 6ch or 3ch receivers work with this radio. I have links to them in this video th-cam.com/video/5WGJj_hPUb4/w-d-xo.html

I'll open mine up and have a look. Definitely can do the software part of it with OpenTX
9XR Gimbals are not identical, so not as easy, Throttle side is missing the little metal pins that the plastic cam fits on.
valeu...
Thanks to you to
Mode 1.....For people who want to do precision flying....LOL.
