We are currently working day and night (day jobs and then in the kitchen until bedtime) and filming is a lot of work so we sadly cannot fit in filming while working in the kitchen, it would be too much. "Open plan" is of course the craze of our age, but personally I love the charm of special spaces, nooks, distinct little "worlds" in a house that create a certain enchantment. It's kind of like the difference between finding yourself in an open field or a magical forest.
I agree. I really dislike open concept homes. Who wants to sit in their living room, looking at their fridge? I prefer separate rooms for separate purposes.
Your home is unique as both of you are. Totally different from the majority of TH-camrs giving home tours of their same copycat decoration style. That's what makes me watch your videos. For the door of your laundry room I understand you want to keep it to separate from the kitchen. You have such good taste in choosing beautiful quality fabric and/so a curtain would also give you that division should you ever want to change the door. Thank you for sharing.

There's just no sugar coating it. Home renovations, especially kitchen and bath, are torturous experiences. Great craftspeople and suppliers make it better, but they can only do so much. I just had my kitchen renovated. It’s been a 20 year dream come true. It’s been a very difficult three weeks. The mess and disorganization was a lot to handle. Now that it’s all done, I am so very happy. I just sit and look at it and I’m so thankful. I brought flowers to my designer and showed my gratitude to the two men who worked so hard every day. You will be so happy when it’s all done.

We all feel the same when having a new kitchen fitted but there is an expression No pain no gain. Once everything is fitted you will forget all the upheaval and feel happy and organised again. A real piece of quality workmanship. Wunderbar!

Even though it’s a supporting wall, I’m so glad you didn’t go for the “open-plan”. I enjoy the feeling of having each room be a jewel box with its own personality. Having a door to the laundry room will reduce the noise from using those appliances. Well done!🌸🐝
