    My sister and I and our 6 kids visited a few days ago. I wasn't able to ride due to back trouble but everyone else did and they absolutely LOVED it. Staff was very friendly. I've already recommended it to several people.

      Thanks for visiting us, so glad to hear your family had a great Branson coaster ride! Can't wait to show your friends a great trip as well, thanks for spreading the word!

    My teacher way back in 4th grade made us watch this. I wrote the name of the video to check out (i never did until now lol)
    I found the paper in a big stack of papers i was going through.
    But this looks awesome. I will consider riding it someday.

    We rode this twice yesterday. It was so much fun! Perfect for both adults and kids. The staff were incredibly friendly and yes the ride up is just as nice as the ride down. We'll be recommending this to everyone and will be coming here each time we visit Branson!

      Thank you for your comment, and for riding our mountain coaster! I'm sure you can attest that the video doesn't even begin to do the real ride justice.

    For those who want a little more speed I suggest doing this ride after a nice fresh rain storm. The track limiters do not slow you down as much and you get a nice fast ride. This ride was nice and fast! Loved it a lot! Highly suggest this one! If you want to see better videos do a search and you will find many more that are filmed much better than this one. This ride is awesome and the staff who works here is awesome too!

      We've got a lot better & newer videos on our own channel, but this very first one took on a life of it's own. Thanks for the tips David, we appreciate it & hope to see you back again soon!

    Can't wait to ride it! Going to Glenwood Springs, CO to ride theirs (went last year) This was looks to be just as much fun and much closer to KC!

      Thanks for watching Mike! We had a lot of folks down from KC yesterday saying the same thing "glad to have one closer to home." And trust me, the video doesn't even begin to capture the experience. Look forward to having you visit!

      I didn't get to ride it in GS as it wasn't running in the early 1900's.I did ride the long one at Winter Park,Co.The other long track is at Attatash in N.H.near Jackson.

    It sure doesn't look like it here, but that thing will throw you out of your seat if you're not careful, very fun to ride at night. I don't understand the hate about the lift, it's very nice and goves you time to take in the scenery around you (which is much nicer than shown in the video, as this was taken during construction)

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Timber Husky, we appreciate the vote of confidence! This was definitely just a quick video to show off the coaster immediately after construction, and the real life experience is infinitely better.

    I just rode this about a week ago, such a fun and thrilling ride, didn’t think it would go so fast but I was wrong... I felt like I was gonna fly off the edge when I was hitting them turns full speed... it was great

    Looks like fun, but what is it with the Alpine Coasters in the U.S., they're all so short, it's like the ride just gets started good then it's over! Compared to the Coasters in Austria and Germany these are the Kiddie rides.

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Sam, thanks for watching! Our coaster is the longest in the midwest--but as you noted, we don't have quite the mountain sides they do in Austria & Germany (also, historically they have been set up in Europe no ski hills--we definitely lack those in Branson!) Still, we managed to fit in 330 feet of elevation change, and nearly a mile of track so I don't think you'll be too disappointed if you're ever down our way to try it.

    My family of 6 will hopefully be visiting this July. Do you have operational days and hours set for the summer yet?

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We are not finalized that far ahead yet--although I can tell you we will amost certainly be open 6-7 days a week during July. We are generally open from 10 am to sunset, although we could be open earlier during the summer and open later if our lighting gets installed according to schedule. The best way to keep up to date is to follow us on Facebook or visit our website, www.bransonmountaincoaster.com Thanks for being a fan!

    does it go any faster than what was shown in the video? looks like it never reaches 10 - 15 mph

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's about a 5 minute ride up, which is fairly slow. On the ride down, if you don't use brakes you can get up to about 25 mph. You can see the downhill portion at the 5:30 mark or so.

      Well, we'd offer to let you hike up the mountain but I've done it--and I don't think we'd get many takers. Just enjoy the ride and/or nap up, and the drop from the top ought to make for a pretty good wake-up call.

    Sorry guys, but I really feel the Branson Coaster on 76 has a LOT more fun factor to it... You guys may have it beat on straight away speed but there are not very many turns at all, and that is what we found to be the most fun on it. Check out the review on my page.

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need to be sorry, you like what you like! We feel we've got some pretty good scenery, and a fun coaster with plenty of turns, twists & helixes - but as long as you give us a try at the end of the day we've all got things we like better. I'm curious how you can say it compares better though when you haven't had a chance to ride our yet? Would love to see how they compare after you've had a chance to experience them both!

    How many people ride this ride at a time?

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      One or two people to a cart (up to a total of 300 pounds), and we have several carts going at any one time with enough space between them to allow for safe braking/accelerating/etc.

    Any faster ??

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Downhill it goes about 30 mph through the woods, although riders can slow down on curves if they'd prefer. While 30 mph doesn't sound like much by itself, when you're in a small cart alone racing through the trees it can be pretty intense!

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for watching & thanks for the feedback. We definitely will have more & better videos as we go but we wanted to get something up to give people a feel for it. We'll have different videos for people who are just interested in the downhill, because a large number of people really enjoy the ride up as well--the quiet before the storm, if you will.

      Maybe just say on the video that the first 5 minutes is a slow climb. I kept waiting...and waiting... and wondering when the downhill ride was going to start. I like the guitar music though. I shirtless hillbilly mountain man was a nice touch too. :D

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      This video wasn't sped up, we've got a 5 minute scenic ride uphill then a 2 minute race downhill. We do have a shorter clip elsewhere on our channel that just highlights the downhill.

    My crap, most entire rides are shorter than that lift hill. Maybe invest in some LIM/LSMs???

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Those would speed things up, but we're not a traditional coaster. Part of the mountain coaster experience here is the scenic ride up. If you want the fastest launches, inversions, etc a mountain coaster probably isn't up your alley. Thanks for commenting, and give us a try if you're in the area. You might be surprised at the experience!

    Lift: The Ride. Some of these have cool layouts but this is pretty eh looking. I mean if you love the scenery you can see on much better ones, ok, but, I wouldn't pay more than $5 to do this once. And not this one.

      Makes me wish I'd gone on one of these in the Poconos (which are 200 ft. shorter than the Ozarks). Theirs looked more exciting; they appeared to start them at the top, and serpentined down the hill.

      Ben, believe it or not, none of the video was sped up at all. We are working on an edited video with a sped up ascent, but we wanted to make sure the full ride was out there because for a lot of people who want to enjoy the scenery, the ride up is as much fun as anything!

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That really sums up roller coasters in general--90 seconds of adventure. Not for everybody, but thanks for watching!

    • @RedVynil
      @RedVynil 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, REGULAR roller coasters but, with them, you only get about a minute of lift. With this one, it's 7 or 8 minutes of lift for 90 seconds of a ride. Proportionately, if you're getting 8:00 of lift, you should be getting 12:00 of ride!

    "Runaway"?!
    Who are they kidding?!
    More like "S N O R E Away"!
    Just a long, boring, incredibly slow tour of the forest; followed by a way-too-short true coaster run that still wasn't fast enough or thrilling enough.
    Who were the people standing right beside the track that kept popping up?! Even at the very end?! Not a good statement for speed it safety.
    The OVERLY LOUD MUSIC all the way through did not help either.
    Sorry - not an exciting trip at all.

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching our video! As you'll note in the description--this was just a temporary video put up during our staff training & testing, which is why there were workers along the track. And I agree--this video did have too loud of music, we were still new & didn't have a video production team in place. If you'd like to check out some of our newer videos maybe you'll find one you like better. I'll also note that video doesn't capture the feeling of going through the forest very well, so if you get a chance to try us out you might be pleasantly surprised. Either way, thanks for watching!

  • @linwoodnymph6113
    @linwoodnymph6113 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    skipped to 5 min & still yawn.

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Everyone's got their own tastes although I will say the video alone doesn't begin to do the real ride justice. It may not have a powered launch & corkscrews etc like a traditional roller coaster, but being in the trees with the ability to control your speed makes for a pretty visceral thrill ride. If you're ever in the area, come give us a try and you might be surprised!

    • @linwoodnymph6113
      @linwoodnymph6113 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Didn't say I'd expect a power -launch or cork-screws. It's not a steel coaster. But even a traditional wooden coaster, the ride down is longer than the ride up. And it certainly isn't "runaway".
      It may be a 'nice' view, but I'd expect more from "Runaway".

    • @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster
      @BransonAlpineMountainCoaster  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Certainly--as I said, a mountain coaster is a different beast than a traditional roller coaster of any type, and it may not be what you're looking for. But it is a unique experience and one more thrilling than any video can share (of course, that's true for any coaster). We've got 330' of vertical drop overall, 2 helixes, bumps, turns & river crossings. When you're going down the hills and winding through the trees it really can feel our of control--hence the name "Runaway" Appreciate your feedback, and thanks for watching our video.
