Tried to go as fast as possible on one of these last summer at Crystal Mountain Michigan. Lost control on a curve (bad leaning by me), flipped and crashed hard. Rode three more times after that. Next day I was diagnosed with a dislocated collarbone. But it was fun!

I got stuck on a flat part of this slide years ago.No one was behind me or in front of me.My hubby was way ahead of me.You have to go full throttle on the slow sections.
@Mark Weis I was okay.. I was very young and was riding with an adult, so he dampened my fall.. But I think he got a little hurt. Nothing big. Not sure if anyone saw us.. We just got back in the track and kept siding! This one was made out of metal.. (it was this track th-cam.com/video/3XmAAiUnzwM/w-d-xo.html)
The Attitash slides have a design flaw, after that first turn, it gets very flat, making it easy to stall out if you didn't get a fast enough run up. One stalled person can quickly lead to a whole line of stalls as they try to hand push to get through the flat and get running again. The Bromley slides are a bit better in this regard. (Bromley also has a third track that takes a different line than the other two.)
Exactly when you think of a rage you think of people yelling at the top of their lungs and getting ready to fight or something not just saying go and then getting up and going to the front and also I thought the slow people would've raged

I did the one at Great Adventure in NJ 40 years ago. A bunch of friends going full speed . I think all but one of us got burns from scrapping the concrete. But boy, what a frill. Above a certain speed, braking in a turn was actually dangerous as the sled would start to swing left and right, so best not to brake and hope for the best.

Alpine slides are fun. Ive been on one a few times at Heritage Square in Golden Colorado. That was back in the mid 1980's though.
The people who were stopped on the ride: "I want to get off Alpine Slide 1"
This is so much fun. Where are all the Alpine Slides these days?
"Frowned upon, frowned upon, frowned upon!" Lol
