We wanted to upload this video of the ride starting right away for anyone who wants to see what the Lost Mine Mountain Coaster POV is like. You can watch our more detailed video of this Pigeon Forge Mountain Coaster here ► th-cam.com/video/L-AgvdHXtcc/w-d-xo.html
My daughter and I rode it over the weekend when we were in Pigeon Forge. It's the first mountain coaster we've ever ridden, so I don't have anything to compare it to. We also played a round of mini golf too. We both thought it was great. We rode it during the day and then again that night ($10 for a second ride on the same day). It's definitely more immersive at night. Everything appeared to be brand new, so it didn't at all look worn out. We thought the ride was fun and worth it. While I would have preferred that the ride not be broken up by 4 uphill sections, I understand that they have limited space and that it would require a much higher Hill. And I did appreciate that the cars weren't bunched up and had room to go full speed, if desired. We would definitely recommend it and would go back again next time. We look forward to trying out more mountain coasters.
I'm a wood roller coaster hobbyist & on my many coaster trips I've managed around 20 mountain coasters, 9 are in the Smokies area. These all ride & feel about the same & they're all governed to around 25-30 MPH, but Lost Mine is one of my favorites mainly because of the long ride & theming. Hint - Where the sign says "slow," DON'T! You'll get an extra, little slam right before the cable lift. You should never apply the brakes on these, always keep them fully forward for the most fun. You'll never go faster than the governed speed & will even feel it slow automatically before tight turns.
10 mins at the fastest so like a minute and of half of fun and the rest was going at a snails pace. I would hate to the next in line waiting nearly a half an hour to get on because someone wanted to go slow on the actual hill parts.
We will be doing this coaster this August, when we make our 13th. trip down to Tennessee. Love watching your informational videos. I also understand you are or were a firefighter. I am as well, and was a Chief for 16 years.
One of my favorite things to do when we visit is riding the mountain coasters 😂 so much fun they really are. Although sometimes I can’t help but to brake a bit because I feel like I’m going to flip, I wonder if that has ever happened on one of these? I know Colorado has some too.
The part you hear me say WOW a lot the cart was lifting up on one side. It has guards so it can't come off but it I just tried to keep going full speed and film with the camera as steady as I could!
Lost Mine's theming looks awesome. Someone should make a video that compares all the area's mountain coasters. There are too many to choose from now. Find out which is the longest? Fastest? Cheapest? One single comprehensive video like that would do so well forever. Not actually a "mountain coaster" but my favorite is still the classic Alpine Slide at Ober! It's not on rails and it feels so dangerously thrilling careening down in just the half-pipe. It's a dying breed around the world, so enjoy this one that we still have!
That looks like so much fun. It looks way better that smoky mountain alpine coaster and goats on the roof. I was on both of them but this one looks way better. I will have to ride this in January.
I have issues with vertigo so just watching, I could feel a little dizzy, truly. I can’t imagine how I would be after the end of the ride?😮 It does look fun and thrilling.
Thats really neat. I was wondering who is in control at the end of the ride, I imagine it must be some kind of magnetic field. Yep don't depend on me to use a brake lol
The theming looked perfect except for the 5-gallon plastic bucket, modern aluminum ladder leaning against the wall and electric power tool next to it in the first tunnel. They must have been rushing to get it open in time.
Huge steel coaster fan here! I've never ridden a breakable mountain coaster. My question is, if I'm not affaid of speed, can you actually ride at full speed, without ever hitting the breaks at all?
This looks so fun. But the signs saying End of Track is concerning. If someone like my son (mild autistic) rode this I could see him getting off at one of the areas that say this. Wonder if they have a two seater?
From my experience with mountain coasters, the problem arises when you personally want to go max speed, but the person in front of you insists on holding the brakes for the entire duration of the ride
"Brake-Run: The ride" As much as I love the theming and the trend to mountain coasters with no self-control, I absolutely loathe thet trend to having brakes throughout the whole track. I only know them from Wiegand alpine coasters, but they completely destroy any fun in my opinion.
@@AdventureIsOutThere Which makes my point. The more that come, the more likely that Pigeon Forge will likely end up as the alpine coaster capital of the world.
Winner winner chicken dinner! Jim has added this on his things to do on our fall trip. Jim even thinks I can do it. Hello McFly! Do you not know your wife? First, even though cubby girls can ride, I’m afraid of heights. I would scream worst & louder than a Sasquatch hitting his thumb while tree knocking in the woods! 🤣🤣 We will see come the end of October! 🙏🙏 Thank You!
Jesus is coming soon. Please repent and ask him into your life. Cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness. Make Him your Lord & your Savior. One day, you will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen.

That looks like the best mountain coaster going as I see it. I love the theming and the scenery. That is a must do next trip up.
Agreed. I must go there. That kind of ride is my favorite thing

Thank you for the helpful hints! Lost Mine is definitely a favorite of ours as well!

Ryan this looks awesome. Cannot wait to try this when we return in July. Maybe we'll get lucky and see you in Pigeon Forge.
Hope you have a great time in July!
Great video! Looks like a fun ride, and that is some elaborate theming for a mountain coaster. Thank you for sharing,!
Our pleasure KR!

👍
This was the best coaster by far it was a real smooth ride.
Thanks for sharing this!! I loved the bear on the zip line!! That was a good touch!!✌🐢
👍
Great video, thanks for sharing ,it looks like a long ride!
Thanks Sue!

I have been there before but it was yesterday and I was just so excited about the ride I was able to go ride by myself
👍
Love it! I can’t wait to ride The Lost Mine Mountain Coaster Pigeon Forge!!
🍯🐻👍
I had been on Copperhead twice while I was in Branson and this one actually is pretty interesting that actually does have some theming to it.
Awesome ride
we did the Moonshine Mountain coaster. I think we might like to try this one next visit ! Thanks
We rode this in aug when we were down there its awsome
Love the theming and the location of this! Put it on my list for our next visit. 😊
🍯🐻👍

Take your pick. All of the mountain coasters offer the same ride experience and none are worth the money. I agree, the alpine slide is best.
That looks like so much fun. It looks way better that smoky mountain alpine coaster and goats on the roof. I was on both of them but this one looks way better. I will have to ride this in January.
It's a great mountain coaster in Pigeon Forge SMM!
I have issues with vertigo so just watching, I could feel a little dizzy, truly.
I can’t imagine how I would be after the end of the ride?😮
It does look fun and thrilling.
Brie has vertigo issues too. She said the same thing when I showed her this video. She didn’t have a problem riding it.
What a view
Amazing ride! Probably could do this along with Dollywood!
Love it!
🍯🐻👍
I like it..looks like great fun...I'd go on it and I'm pushing 70! 😍😻❣️
I am super excited to ride the Lost Mine Mountain Coaster Pigeon Forge
👍
I think I saw this ride under construction while I was in Pigeon Forge last June. How does it compare to the other mountain coasters in town?
Thats really neat. I was wondering who is in control at the end of the ride, I imagine it must be some kind of magnetic field. Yep don't depend on me to use a brake lol
Excellent video. 🇨🇦 How much is something like this - just a ballpark figure is okay. Thoroughly enjoyed the ride.
About $18 for adults. Thanks for watching!
@@AdventureIsOutThere thanks for letting me know. Considering the length of the ride it isn't expensive at all. 👍
The theming looked perfect except for the 5-gallon plastic bucket, modern aluminum ladder leaning against the wall and electric power tool next to it in the first tunnel. They must have been rushing to get it open in time.
We came on opening day, they are still working on getting the lighting for night rides.
Huge steel coaster fan here!
I've never ridden a breakable mountain coaster.
My question is, if I'm not affaid of speed, can you actually ride at full speed, without ever hitting the breaks at all?
Looks like so much fun. I just have one question what happens if you don’t hit the brakes at end of track? Is there a safety feature?
Correct, it will stop you automatically.
Lonnng ride! At the end, I saw a familiar landscape near my hometown in Idaho. 😉😂
👍
That is so cool, I can't wait to ride this!!!
Ryan is the below comment you, or a scammer

@AdventureIsOutThere Thank You
That was very nice video of the ride
I assume these things have automatic braking like regular coasters? So you really don’t need to manually brake unless you think you’re going too fast?
Yes, the have safety brakes in place.
I will have to try this one since I have been on Rocky Top, Alpine, and Goats
Lost Mine Mountain Coaster in Pigeon Forge is great!
My son and husband would like to ride the Lost Mine Mountain coaster😮
🍯🐻👍
This ride is great in October
Wow for a pigeon forge attraction this is really well themed
👍
I remember saying at the hotel next to the mini golf, but it wasn’t open yet sadly 😢
Next time!
So how are the riders spaced then so as not to have two come together?

This looks so fun. But the signs saying End of Track is concerning. If someone like my son (mild autistic) rode this I could see him getting off at one of the areas that say this. Wonder if they have a two seater?
All of them are 2 seaters. We go over more details in this video: th-cam.com/video/L-AgvdHXtcc/w-d-xo.html
I like the music
👍
Nice theming. Busch Gardens Old Country 1976 quality
LOST MINE MOUNTAIN COASTER PIGEON FORGE
Melanie and I will be staying right on teaster lane from the 16-20th. This would be perfect. I hope we win !
We will be picking a winner from comments on this video 👉 th-cam.com/video/L-AgvdHXtcc/w-d-xo.html
Ďoès this coaster have a seat belt?
シートベルトを付けて無いアトラクションが多かったですね日本ではよく座席から投げ出され亡くった人が居るのですが安全面はだいじょうぶなのでしょうか?😮
From my experience with mountain coasters, the problem arises when you personally want to go max speed, but the person in front of you insists on holding the brakes for the entire duration of the ride
👍
that shii look azz 😂😂😂😂😂 thanks for the video brother i was wondering what the hype was
Wait.... these things have brakes?
Yep, they all do!
@@AdventureIsOutThere news to me
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!❤
🍯🐻👍
What if you want to go full speed but the person in front is crawling down with the breaks barely off? lol
👍

It honestly seems like you are waiting in line for an hour just to go down a park slide.
And that makes 9 alpine coasters! Just how is Pigeon Forge not the alpine coaster capital of the world?
Seem to get a new one just about every other year!
@@AdventureIsOutThere Which makes my point. The more that come, the more likely that Pigeon Forge will likely end up as the alpine coaster capital of the world.
I've seen some slower ones that I think I would like much better. 😅
👍
Not enough speed for me 😊
👍

LOL! Love the Back to the Future reference! 😆
Lost mine pigeon forge
Would be so much better it’s out the silly music!
👍

👍
Jesus is coming soon. Please repent and ask him into your life. Cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness. Make Him your Lord & your Savior. One day, you will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen.
👍
Sorry but the background music ruins it.
👍
I shut off the sound as the music did ruin the experience
I think im sick now. Maybe i better not ride it.
👍
they're so fun to ride! my parents and i absolutely love them!
I can't stand mountain/alpine coasters with the multiple lifts. Stop stopping my ride...
👍
Seriously even cut down to skip the slow parts it looks like at top speed you only get about a minute and a half of actual fun out of this. The rest is you sitting there waiting.
There have been momma bears and cubs riders have come across. No way! There are videos. Children shouldn't be allowed to ride
With my Mountain Coaster experience I would say - this looks boring…
We like it
Music not needed yuck.
👍
Ride looks like fun, but you should really lose that awful Indiana Jones type music track, it’s terrible.🙄
You’re welcome to mute it 👍
Lame
We enjoyed it!
