I just got my Note 20 Ultra and I am impressed! It is a beauty. With a matching color wallet LED OEM case from Samsung, you won’t even notice the camera bump. With this latest iteration from Samsung, I am certain that I won’t need to upgrade to another Note for 3 years. It’s that good! Hats off to Samsung!
Great review. My only samsung complaint is the color options. I paid for the 512g and it only comes in black. You would think that for more money, you get more color options not less

i have a note 20 ultra and i would say either keep your s9 or get something like the S10 series since they are pretty cheap rn. Or theirs always the s20 series or something like a oneplus phone

When reviewing a Samsung phone, Tech TH-camrs should always always say "here in the US, the Note 20 Ultra has the latest Snapdragon..." while those from countries treated as second class by Samsung should say "here in the _________, the Note 20 Ultra comes with the Exynos chipshit...."

Great video as always. I received my N20U yesterday and absolutely love it. I switched from a Note10+ which I felt was an amazing device. I do however think the prices this year are due to the "5G" capability. My Note10+ last year retailed $1250 which is only $50 dollars less than the N20U but wasnt a 5G device. Earlier this year Samsung dropped the S20Ultra 5G which cost $1400, so $100 more than this phone. So ultimately the Note20Ultra 5G is cheaper than the S20 Ultra 5G while having more features, an S-Pen, a better chipset, UFS3.1, adaptive 120hz display, and improved cameras(esp focus) Then again, the Note line was never meant for everyone either. The price is up to the individual purchasing it, whats expensive to someone may be cheap to someone else 🤷🏻

The Note 20 Ultra is my 1st Note. That being said... The price is my only complaint...that being said... about 2 weeks before preorders went live, my S8 started having issues with mobile data. I could only make wifi calls...so, my carrier let me trade it in and removed $300 off the price. That and then qualifying for Samsungs $150 store credit, eases my wallet pain. Joshua, I stumbled upon your channel by accident. I like your style and presentation, therefor... you have a new subscriber!
I think I'm going to hold out on my yearly upgrade this year. Seing the Z-flip, if that thing can get a better camera, and better battery next go around, I want that. I love the big screen but I'm getting tired of how much space it takes up in my pocket.
Super nice review. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G offers pretty much every feature any phone owner could want. It has a gorgeous screen, classy hardware, wicked performance, good battery life, and capable cameras. It's also huge, heavy, and as pricey as they come 😎😎😎
No headphone jack is still a deal breaker for me. Screen size is too large. Still on my s10 Plus. Im also a store manager in telecommunications. I have close relationships with my Samsung reps. Neither of us are impressed with the Note 20/Ultra
DEX is far from that I guess. It's a desktop experience and not just mirroring. If Citrix Workspace will be available in Samsung store, that's a killer feature since I can remote on a phone.

Wishful Complaints: 1. 120hz at WQHD+ (I actually use 60hz at WQHD+...I use a 580/590dpi...crisp don't please) 2. 6,000mAh battery 3. Flat screen 4. Better pre-installed screen protector [like on the S20 Ultra). The screen film that comes on the device isn't something to keep on at all

I've been playing with the Note 20 Ultra & I have to agree that the front facing camera is not impressive at all & I wish they would make it better. Makes me want to keep my Note 10+ since its the same specs & just wait till 2021 for the next model.

Why is no one upset, or at least discussing, the Note 20 Ultra is H U G E !!! I so wanted a Note 20 that had the $1300 specs but would fit in my pocket without wanting to fold it. I thought we were getting a Note 20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra+ or Max with a 6.9in and a 6.5in screen. That would have made more sense than a basic Note 20 in plastic.
Yeah I agree with you but I don't mind. Something that I'm gonna have to deal with since I'm getting mine. The only thing that would come close is the Z Flip 5g. It has the same Snapdragon 865+ chip. But too fragile for my taste.
What about the camera rattle? Anyone experienced this? Friends of mine who also have a note ultra didn't experience this for some reason. Also in shops when i tested it i didnt hear that at all... Super strange. Ive got mine a day now and when i look in the Tele Sensor it all looks very flimsy and also not centered well.. Very concerned about that. Just to be safe i ordered a replacement from Samsung, although some people have same issue and say its normal...but how can that be normal by design..?

The only complaint about this device is the horrible battery life. During COVID-19 it's barely making it through to bed time. I'm barely out and about during this time. I'm up at least 18 hours a day and I expect my device to be also. I haven't had a Note device with this bad battery life in a very long time. I expect not to have to rely on a separate computer or tablet to make it through the day. That's how most make it without battery issues because they're relying on separate devices. I blame it on 5G and 120 screen refresh; those are the only two new power hungry things added. So manufacturers will have to begin including even larger batteries than before.
I love my Note20 Ultra, just wish I could've gotten Mystic Bronze in 512 gb storage in the US, 120hz + Quad HD, and lastly 45 watt Super Fast Charging. I thought I was going to prefer Quad HD over 120hz, but I'm loving how smooth and fast it feels.
If your hands are too small for the Note then obviously shop around and get a smaller phone. Otherwise it's fine. Think about it. When do you really need to do everything on your phone with one hand?? Oh you mean like if you're holding something like hot coffee on the other hand?? Or you mean like when you're driving?? The point I'm making is, if you NEED to do something with just one hand then it probably means you shouldn't be doing it at all. I've had a Note each year since the Note 7 and before that I had a Note 3. I skipped 4, 5, and 6. But came back to Note for 7 and each year after that since. It's literally the best all arounder.
Notes are 2 handed phones. I always have an extra case with a ring in back so I can pit my finger through it for those times when extra security is good to have.
I ordered the Note 20 Ultra 256GB a few days ago here in the Uk, and haven't used it yet. I'm upgrading from the note 8 which I had huge issues with battery with. Im annoyed that I'm stuck with the Exynos 990 chip varient, & what I'm mostly concerned about is battery life and the overheating issue I've heard about.
My main complaint is sometimes the bluetooth disconnects without warning. It always happens when I enter the entrance of the parking lot at work. Maybe it has a signal disruptor? But then again it reconnects without problems afterwards. Very strange.

I like to keep my phone in my pocket at all times especially when working and having something as big as the note is kinda giving me second thoughts. Are you looking to buy it? And if so what color? For me black is the one that's looks real sleek.
Honestly that first point about the phone being unwieldy is so on-point. Even after close to 2 years of using my Note 9, I still occasionally struggle to operate the device because of how big it is lmaooooo. Note 9 is probably the biggest size I could tolerate before it becomes too much. Love the content you're pushing out, I actually read some of your reviews on Android Authority way back but didn't know you started your own TH-cam channel. Found out after MrMobile showed your channel on one of his videos. Hoping you get big just like he did!
I understand the point of "will you use all the features" but I think the main point of the note is that you always have all of those features at your fingertips even if you only need them once every few months.
Love the size!! It was the size that made Note20Ultra my choice! Next, will wait for the flips - even bigger! Every phones have some downsides and complaints....if we look hard enough...
Am in the Exynos market, want to understand the difference between 865+ and Exynos Chip for 'Non Gaming' use. Pricing seem to be the obvious difference as we are paying the same price for relatively inferior chip.

Josh what are your export settings for resolve as I also use that but my export doesn't look that crisp as your. As the deatils are very low in my exports ya I use a way worse camera but have used premier and there the quality is much better but have just in love with colour adjustment of resolve and that's what I majorly do for project and client so will stick and why pay more for premier when I can that quality by just knowing what's are the better setting for TH-cam

My only complaint is my note 20 ultra does not function well using my fingers to scroll, very hit and miss and slow. It is like it wants me to use the s pen only. It started out fine a month ago, but even with a few updates later it is not getting any better. I guess I may have to reset and reload software.
I have an issue and problem while using Smule app on my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra...i've connected my mini microphone + earphone adapter (both 3.5mm jack) to my Samsung's USB Type C..after finished my singing, and when i try to playback the song that I already sang, the system cannot record my voice in singing.. tested on my another smartphone, i got no problem.. why this problem happened?
In Indonesia we're getting Exynos with 8/256 or 8/512. The complaint I have by far is the heat (I was using maps and spotify only and the heat is no joke to the point where it needs to shut down temporarily all apps in the background) and sometimes the camera at night have kinda dots after getting bright light? Oh, and battery easily drain for every 3-4 hours after gaming for a moment, using social media, and checking videos for a while

I got mine in the mail yesterday and gotta be honest, it's pretty hefty even compared to the Note 10+. I can feel the extra weight and not sure how I feel about it yet. The phone is great so far but I do feel like we're getting into a territory where phones are getting too big and I'm a huge lover of the of the Note series!
I'm from India, even I can afford hefty price of Note 20 Ultra (INR 1,04,000/-) I do not wish to pay, cause Exynos processor which gives heating & battery issues in longevity will hard to digest for such steep priced device. So given a choice either I will get A or Light series of Samsung phones which comes with Mid-range snapdragon Processor & also light on pocket when it comes to pricing + Samsung has recently announced & declared 3 generations of Android OS Support for A series of devices.
Thanks so much for a great review. I heard the Note 22 is out...I use the s pen a lot so dont really want to give that up but whenever samsung does updates it causes strange defects with facebookand a few other apps. My only complaint is the tester isnt being thorough enough prior to deploying updates.
I received my Black, Note 20 Ultra 2 days ago..nice phone, but I keep touching the off button, its too close to the volume Control. Also not happy that in Australia we have the exynos 990. WHY!! Is it really that bad. I am going to cover the phone when it arrives. Too slippery without one.

My note 20 ultra has a strip protruding out from the camera lens inside the camera. Then the camera fogs Also it is overheating to the point where you can't hold the phone. Im hearing other people are also having such problems.

I love my Note20 Ultra, just wish I could've gotten Mystic Bronze in 512 gb storage in the US, 120hz + Quad HD, and lastly 45 watt Super Fast Charging. I thought I was going to prefer Quad HD over 120hz, but I'm loving how smooth and fast it feels.

Are you sure? Because Note 20 ultra has only 25 watt charging capacity.

If your hands are too small for the Note then obviously shop around and get a smaller phone.
Otherwise it's fine. Think about it.
When do you really need to do everything on your phone with one hand?? Oh you mean like if you're holding something like hot coffee on the other hand?? Or you mean like when you're driving??
The point I'm making is, if you NEED to do something with just one hand then it probably means you shouldn't be doing it at all.
I've had a Note each year since the Note 7 and before that I had a Note 3. I skipped 4, 5, and 6. But came back to Note for 7 and each year after that since.
It's literally the best all arounder.
Notes are 2 handed phones. I always have an extra case with a ring in back so I can pit my finger through it for those times when extra security is good to have.

I ordered the Note 20 Ultra 256GB a few days ago here in the Uk, and haven't used it yet. I'm upgrading from the note 8 which I had huge issues with battery with. Im annoyed that I'm stuck with the Exynos 990 chip varient, & what I'm mostly concerned about is battery life and the overheating issue I've heard about.
New battery, and new 512 SD card for my NOTE 4 AND STILL GOING!!!!!!!
I LOVE my old note 4. It stopped working a year ago and i had to get something better. Just got the note 20 ultra and love it.

My main complaint is sometimes the bluetooth disconnects without warning. It always happens when I enter the entrance of the parking lot at work. Maybe it has a signal disruptor? But then again it reconnects without problems afterwards. Very strange.

I'm with you there also I typically work out a run with my phone there's no way I could do that with this phone.

I like to keep my phone in my pocket at all times especially when working and having something as big as the note is kinda giving me second thoughts. Are you looking to buy it? And if so what color? For me black is the one that's looks real sleek.
Honestly that first point about the phone being unwieldy is so on-point. Even after close to 2 years of using my Note 9, I still occasionally struggle to operate the device because of how big it is lmaooooo. Note 9 is probably the biggest size I could tolerate before it becomes too much.
Love the content you're pushing out, I actually read some of your reviews on Android Authority way back but didn't know you started your own TH-cam channel. Found out after MrMobile showed your channel on one of his videos. Hoping you get big just like he did!
I understand the point of "will you use all the features" but I think the main point of the note is that you always have all of those features at your fingertips even if you only need them once every few months.
Love the size!! It was the size that made Note20Ultra my choice! Next, will wait for the flips - even bigger! Every phones have some downsides and complaints....if we look hard enough...
Am in the Exynos market, want to understand the difference between 865+ and Exynos Chip for 'Non Gaming' use. Pricing seem to be the obvious difference as we are paying the same price for relatively inferior chip.
A note 20 ultra here has 256gb storage and 8gb memory. Is RAM really that more expensive than ROM?

Exynos market 🙄 Performance and battery life is worse, so they should make the price a little lower as a compromise at least.
Josh what are your export settings for resolve as I also use that but my export doesn't look that crisp as your.
As the deatils are very low in my exports ya I use a way worse camera but have used premier and there the quality is much better but have just in love with colour adjustment of resolve and that's what I majorly do for project and client so will stick and why pay more for premier when I can that quality by just knowing what's are the better setting for TH-cam

anyway to solve S Pen problems? find I have to apply a lot of pressure to get drawings or typing sometimes tried resetting the pen nothing worked

My only complaint is my note 20 ultra does not function well using my fingers to scroll, very hit and miss and slow. It is like it wants me to use the s pen only. It started out fine a month ago, but even with a few updates later it is not getting any better. I guess I may have to reset and reload software.
I have an issue and problem while using Smule app on my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra...i've connected my mini microphone + earphone adapter (both 3.5mm jack) to my Samsung's USB Type C..after finished my singing, and when i try to playback the song that I already sang, the system cannot record my voice in singing.. tested on my another smartphone, i got no problem.. why this problem happened?
In Indonesia we're getting Exynos with 8/256 or 8/512. The complaint I have by far is the heat (I was using maps and spotify only and the heat is no joke to the point where it needs to shut down temporarily all apps in the background) and sometimes the camera at night have kinda dots after getting bright light? Oh, and battery easily drain for every 3-4 hours after gaming for a moment, using social media, and checking videos for a while

I got mine in the mail yesterday and gotta be honest, it's pretty hefty even compared to the Note 10+. I can feel the extra weight and not sure how I feel about it yet. The phone is great so far but I do feel like we're getting into a territory where phones are getting too big and I'm a huge lover of the of the Note series!

I'm from India, even I can afford hefty price of Note 20 Ultra (INR 1,04,000/-) I do not wish to pay, cause Exynos processor which gives heating & battery issues in longevity will hard to digest for such steep priced device. So given a choice either I will get A or Light series of Samsung phones which comes with Mid-range snapdragon Processor & also light on pocket when it comes to pricing + Samsung has recently announced & declared 3 generations of Android OS Support for A series of devices.

Thanks so much for a great review. I heard the Note 22 is out...I use the s pen a lot so dont really want to give that up but whenever samsung does updates it causes strange defects with facebookand a few other apps. My only complaint is the tester isnt being thorough enough prior to deploying updates.

My note 20 ultra has a strip protruding out from the camera lens inside the camera. Then the camera fogs Also it is overheating to the point where you can't hold the phone. Im hearing other people are also having such problems.
