I upgraded to the S22 Ultra from the Note 20 Ultra and I have to say I regret the decision. MST is something I used almost on a daily basis and I miss that feature. The software is buggier on the newer phone. Wifi just stops working randomly until I toggle it off and back on. Photos are marginally better (wouldn't notice the difference without a side-by-side comparison). And the speakers are worse on S22 Ultra compared to the Note 20 Ultra which I did pick up on immediately (look at the video from MaxTech for proof). S22 Ultra is also heavier and thicker compared to the Note 20 Ultra without really showing any improvement in battery life in the real world (both give me 7 hours of screen on time) . Obviously not having the micro-sd card is a downgrade but I can let that go. And lets be honest, there are maybe 100 people in the world who would feel the difference in performance of the two phones without doing stupid benchmarks and comparing them side by side. Lastly, the S Pen is made of crappier materials on the newer phone and doesn't match the color of the phone. So, what I'm saying is there are zero quality of life improvements when going from the Note 20 Ultra to the S22 Ultra. You lose useful features like MST and Micro-sd card without really getting any real world improvements. On paper S22 Ultra might be the better phone but not in real life.

The new one just wasn't appealing especially since it no longer offers an expandable storage. Instead, I chose to get the refurbished Note 20, a case, and the fastest 128 GB micro SD card I could afford.
Sure the S22 is a newer phone with slightly better camera software and a few scant improvements in perfomance, but for my needs, that difference is inconsequential, making the Note 20, an all around better deal. I expect the UPS delivery today. So stay tuned.

Sometimes an "upgrade" is a downgrade. I had the S22U for two weeks and sent it back to T-Mobile. I stuck with my Note 20. Last week I just bought the N20U from T-Mobile for $1000. $300 cheaper and I can expand my memory. With the S22U the minimum memory you should have is 256gb because of how much space that 8K video is gonna take up.

Nothing is more annoying than having to transfer all of your files from phone to phone or phone to PC then to the new phone. The fact I could put the bulk of my storage onto an SD card and just slap it into the next phone was fantastic. Samsung may have honestly lost a customer. When my Note 20 is no longer usable, I am probably going with someone else. The good news is I think phone technology has basically maxed out at this point so getting a new phone is silly as it is. Notice how little gains there have been with a phone vs one from 2 years ago. I can honestly say that the note 20 is better.

After some quick but thorough comparisons I went with the Note 20 ultra cuz the price difference, I just don't think the S22 Ultra is worth $500 to $600 more than the Note 20. It was like a price difference of 164 USD between the prices of the S22 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra but that edge display on the Note 20 Ultra made me choose a Note once again! You went for a real world result rather than synthetic test that really means very little, wish you could have found more intensive types and added them to the list. I've actually not seen any reviewer make such a sensible review, I'd say this is a first and tops them all when it comes to relevance! I believe this is what really matters to us the users because we are not going to be running benchmark apps to feel good about performance.

And, honestly, I would not have traded my Note 20 Ultra as a prerequisite to Samsung giving me a great deal on a new S22 Ultra because, with all of it's updates in place, my Note 20 Ultra is a world-class "6.9 display champion!
Didn't mind trading in the gray S20 Ultra because my days of purchasing stylus-less phones are officially over.

It’s not really the Note 22 Ultra… it’s just the Note 21 Ultra that was delayed from its traditional fall release to be released several months late alongside the S22 phones…
as far as dropping the MST as well as the micro SD capabilities, Samsung has really just eliminated nearly every reason I’ve stuck with Samsung for so long. Only the S pen is remaining for reason to stick with Samsung, but as I so rarely use it, I’ll definitely be more open to considering alternative premium android options now that there is nearly no compelling differentiation going for Samsung…
I’ll be keeping my Note 20 Ultra much longer than I typically keep phones, and will be closely watching the new premium Sony options that still support micro sd and even have an aux port. I might even keep the Note 20 long enough to justify and consider a battery replacement and keep it going for the next several years.

I was very hesitant to trade in my Note 20 Ultra for the S22 Ultra, but in the end decided to go for it. Best decision ever. Despite how dear I held my Note, the S22 put both its battery and camera in the dust. Those are the two biggest improvements. I don't use an SD card so the lack of it in my S22 wasn't an issue for me.

    😲 🤯
Few months ago i bought note 20 ultra Snapdragon variant. I saw many TH-cam comparison videos with iPhone and it was a big disappointment when iPhone 12 & 13 pro max wins the battery battle with heavy margin. Yesterday i decided to test my device battery life and charged my battery 100% and surprisingly it lasts 10+ freaking hours. (normally i charge my device from 20% to 80%)

I gave it to my mom and upgraded to the S22 Ultra, I just love the back of the phone - I find it as pleasing as the Note 9. Very happy with that. I just don't understand why they would remove the SD Card slot, that bit makes no sense.
