One of the things Jackie Chan is well known for is implementing comedy with martial arts using everything around him to help him out. Also worth mentioning, notice how he always gets hurt and struggles in the fights but also comes out on top because he doesnt give up, he's just not the all-powerful hero. Jackie Chan is an absolute legend. I love that he was super into Mitsubishi motorsports, to the point that he was the honorary director/leader of Ralliart in China I believe. He loves his Evos.
I have good memories of watching this in my childhood. Great movie. Good humor, Chris and Jackie have great chemistry, great action, and excellent pacing. 8/10.

Who Am I! An excellent choice for a favourite Jackie movie, personally I love City Hunter (literally a fever dream, based on an old school manga) and Legend of Drunken Master (or Drunken Master 2, depending on which region you're in) as my favourites.
There's great little moment when Jackie Chan is climbing over the wall, he spots the security camera is pointed inward at the residence, so he points it outward, which is as it should be. Loved that.
What is tough for first time watching Chris Tucker is his high and loud energy. It’s was a signature style for him back in the 90’s even when he was a stand up comic. My recommendations for more Chris are Money Talks, Fifth Element and Friday. The rest for rush hours of course but one change up for him is Dead Presidents to see him in a more dramatic role. Jackie Chan is a win no matter what. He’s almost the Chaplin of Kung-Fu genre of action. I’d love to see more reactions to Kung-Fu classics to watch some day.

Holden definitely is justified in his level of respect for Jackie Chan. 1:19 I have fond memories of that film especially as it was preceded by a documentary called "Jackie Chan My Stunts" recorded both on a VHS when they aired and watched them so much damn near wore out the tape.
It's great that these reactions have transformed from "my gf watches" to my WIFE watches. Congratulations and thank you both for all the smiles you've brought my way😁
Jackie Chan is not someone to look up to outside of their work in the movies...as is the case with most actors. The old adage about meeting your heroes exists for a reason.
If you like Jackie Chan (And you clearly do, Who Am I? is an underappreciated classic) then I would highly recommend Kung Fu Yoga. It's bizarre, bonkers, and the DVD cover depicts a scene that sounds like an acid trip, but actually occurs in the movie. I won't spoil it, but it's brilliant.
I need to tell you a story. I’ve met Jackie on several occasions, The first being at the USA premier of Rumble in the Bronx. As fan club members we had dinner with Jackie before the film. We snuck out as the film ended and we chased his limo to his hotel. We didn’t have the courage to go further. Also have his autobiography signed. Big fan here too, not just for who he is but the fact that he gives so much o himself just to entertain us.
I totally get Jens reaction, I think it is one of those films that we all hold close to our hearts because we grew up with them. And it's hard to absolutely love a film like this when you're watching it for the first time in 2022 haha
While Jackie Chan is a coward who denied taking responsibility for his actions (regarding his child), you can't deny that he made incredibly entertaining films. The greatest action comedy star of all time.
wow! its awesome finally seeing these movies make an appearance on this channel! i forget which one it was, but i believe i suggested these movies for you 2 years ago😁
This is awesome. Now, when you two get into an argument, Jen can say, "Holden Thomas Hardman...DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE WORDS THAT ARE COMING OUT OF MY MOUTH?!"
I love most of Jackie Chan movies. One of my favorites is "City Hunter" which is the live adaptation of the Japanese anime. There is a bunch of extra silliness in the movie, in comparison to other Chan movies, that makes that one especially entertaining. Unfortunately Jackie Chan is no saint. He has admitted to beating his son, cheating on his wife several times, and has an illegitimate daughter that Chan refuses to acknowledge even when she was homeless.
Gotta agree. Love his movies, he does A LOT for charity, and he seems like a down-to-earth person in every day interactions. But you can tell when people only know surface level Jackie. I'm no saint either, but it's a little jarring when people speak about him as if he can do no wrong.
this was my favorite movie as a kid of course other than spiderman 2. some kids brought the power rangers or toy story when they had to stay at their grandparents, but i brought rush hour and austin powers. i even brought it to 2nd grade show and tell. Love this movie
I love Jackie Chan's movies too ... but he's got a controversial rep in hong kong speaking out against freedoms in China and being thought of as a shill for the CCP and some domestic issues as well. Since I read about that stuff my joy watching his movies hasn't become less, but I don't think of him as a person in the same light.
It's crazy how wholesome his image is in the west based on the roles he plays. Props to his manager. He is generally seen as a pretty sleazy guy in Hong Kong. I don't think that's any reason to not watch his films though.
i like how he said jackie chan wouldn't do that.....the guy cheated on his wife and had another kid I believe with said mistress. I suppose he doesn't know because hes Chinese and it was frowned upon so not really in the news etc
yeaooo i randomly saw "Who Am I" on TV about 20 years ago and LOVED it lol. I didn't know the title of it for YEARS after seeing it randomly on TV, and was surprised it wasn't more well known. Thanks for the reminder lol

Congratulations and thank you both for all the smiles you've brought my way😁
Jackie's _Who Am I?_ is SO underrated. Recorded it onto VHS from the TV and watched it over and over when I was a kid.
It’s a classic that’s why we love the movie, 10/10 for me
I need to tell you a story.
No it's not.

Doing the Lord's work by showing Jen this movie
Just hearing Holden laugh and seeing Jen changing her opinion mid way through the movie is just amazing and fun to watch.
Simpler times. This series with these 2 duos are classic certified.
A real classic Acton buddy comedy movie! In my opinion, Rush Hour is one of my favorite movie trilogies! So glad you guys are watching these films!
Isn't he like super nationalist/pro-CCP too?
this was my favorite movie as a kid of course other than spiderman 2. some kids brought the power rangers or toy story when they had to stay at their grandparents, but i brought rush hour and austin powers. i even brought it to 2nd grade show and tell.
Yes, in the recent years he sold out to the CCP
It's crazy how wholesome his image is in the west based on the roles he plays. Props to his manager. He is generally seen as a pretty sleazy guy in Hong Kong. I don't think that's any reason to not watch his films though.
The Rush hour franchise is one of my favorites! I can rewatch without getting bored. Soo funny!
Jen’s reaction was hilarious. I want to see her reaction on the Friday trilogy
This is the most I've seen Holden laugh and I love it😂🙌🏼
i like how he said jackie chan wouldn't do that.....the guy cheated on his wife and had another kid I believe with said mistress. I suppose he doesn't know because hes Chinese and it was frowned upon so not really in the news etc
Chan doesnt even mention his daughter with that woman. Treats that kid like she doesnt exists. Quite pathetic.
You guys need to see the Friday series. It's good.
12:23 Came for this reaction 🤣🤣🤣 God I missed the 90s when the world wasn't so woke.
yeaooo i randomly saw "Who Am I" on TV about 20 years ago and LOVED it lol. I didn't know the title of it for YEARS after seeing it randomly on TV, and was surprised it wasn't more well known. Thanks for the reminder lol
Watch Shanghai Noon next.
Yes yes yes!!
Absolute modern classic movie right there .
Thanks Mr.Holden !!
