    This works. None of that one and off stuff needed. 2017 is the brown wire. Count the pins like he said not the wires count the pins. Yes you can leave it disconnected. Even if you are stock you can get the speed right for your tire as well as the air pressure you run. Excellent video, really appreciate the knowledge.

    Although I didn't believe you actually had to pull a wire to set the wheel circumference, it is true! This is the only video I found that works for my 2017 690 Enduro R. Thanks Nathan!

    Hi mate, did you cut bits out of the front fork protectors to make the tyre fit?

  • @GeneChimits

    Mine is a 2017 also, everything you mentioned worked great except the brown wire on mine was in the 8th pin position.....the wire in the 9th did not work (yellow/Brown). Thanks for the video.

    Hey Infin8, did that rubber bushing handlebar mount help with vibration a lot? And which bushings did you end up using, soft or medium? Im really considering purchasing that with the Scotts Steering Stabilizer. Is it worth the money? Thanks

    • @infin8cycle188
      @infin8cycle188  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah that setup was vey good. The medium bushings gave vibration dampening without too much disconnected feeling. I still have the kit but I sold the bike if you are looking for a used one

      Yes I am interested. Very. Do you have the stabilizer with it or just the antivibe bar mounts? Is there a better way to make contact than the youtube comments to continue this conversation!

      Also, my bike is a 2018 690 Enduro R. Im assuming your setup would work for my bike correct?

      The set up is totally worth the money. I’m not sure how much difference the amounts make but the Scotts stabilizer is amazing. Let me get it together and I’ll figure out a price.

      That sounds great! Thank you! Im looking forward to hearing back from you. Very excited to save some money on this mod over brand new price! If there is a more private way to communicate than the youtube comments that would be good. Let me know what your thoughts are on that. Maybe email or something?

    How do I find out the length of the tire in millimeters? I have a 2018 ktm 690 enduro, and wrap 9 rims, with continental conti attack Sm, and can't find it anywhere online? Can someone please help me with this?

    • @MxxKxxn
      @MxxKxxn 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you find out already? Cause i have the same tyre and have to change the speedometer too 😂

    • @infin8cycle188
      @infin8cycle188  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a couple different ways to do it. The most precise is to put the bike on a stand and take a piece of string and measure The distance around the middle of the front tire. Mark the distance on the string. Then lay the string out flat on the floor and measure in millimeters from the end of the string to your mark. There are also tire measurement publications you can find online. Every tire should have a circumference measurement somewhere in specifications

    Do you ever have to put the brown wire back that you removed? What is the purpose of that wire?

    • @infin8cycle188
      @infin8cycle188  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. It is a lock of sorts to keep you from being able to change the length

      Yes they are warp nine and I ordered them specify for this bike. They came with rotors and all needed spacers..

    Does that mean your front wheel is 18" inches and front tyre is 70mm ?

    • @infin8cycle188
      @infin8cycle188  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. What the number represents is your total tire circumference in millimeters. When you change wheel size, the length of the tire changes. This is the step to change that number so the speedometer is properly calibrated.

    • @mikkonevala9949
      @mikkonevala9949 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@infin8cycle188 so if i tell that my front tire is 17" inches and with 70mm high tire, what should my lenght number to be right one?

      Measure the outside circumference of the front tire in millimeters. That is the number you input.
