Sea Otter tests: Invert gravel fork, Trek CarBack, Felt Breed Carbon, L-Twoo, and much more!

- After capturing a big batch of gear on the first day, I return for another pass at Sea Otter Classic to test ride a few things - L-Twoo’s remarkably inexpensive new groupset, Cane Creek’s Invert gravel fork - and to meander through the massive expo to see what I missed on day one.
I also share some thoughts on two products I have been using for a few days in California - the Felt Breed Carbon gravel bike and Trek's new CarBack radar that goes head to head with the Garmin Varia.

Microshift groups looking good!
They were working on an electronic groupset about 10 years ago. I wonder why they stopped.
Mechanical is fine. Who wants something that isn't supported in 3 years time?
Love the paint job on that Scarab.
Not a lot of reviews on the MicroShift Sword group. Would love to see more on this if you are up to it Ben.
Love the Pinion bike.
I'll take a Lauf Fork over a $1200 airspring without damping.
I will ask them for a tester.
@@TheRidewithBenDelaney Great. Thanks.
This event was nuts. Couldn’t find Hunt or Cane Creek and I feel like I saw everything. So many Nooks & Crannies. Great coverage Ben, as usual.
I felt the same. I only had two days, and I know I missed a lot. Great to see all the energy, considering the general bike biz financial situation.
It’s not the first time”gravel” fork. The Lefty has been out for years and is a full fledged suspension fork with damper.
Just ordered the Ltwoo ERG groupset for my cheap build
Great job finding some interesting stuff! Very integrated in that longer term fork review when you get it. Also cool to see Microshift in the update
Ha! That is me speaking with the Sava guy as you're filming the Dream Maker bike. I felt you shooting the bike, but I never looked up to see who it was. I wish I did. I definitely would've said hi. Big fan of the Channel!
👋
New Felt VRS just dropped. New Felt FRs also. That yellow breed looks amazing. Cant wait for your thoughts on it!!!
Man, that Scarab bike is breathtaking. Such a great paint job. I'm curious how that Cane Creek fork would compare to something like the Redshift suspension stem (as far as dampening goes). I personally have never found a need for dampening on my gravel bike, but maybe I just haven't found the chunkiest gravel in the Front Range yet? 😁
That saddle is INSANE! Try it sir! You seem to be a legit opinion on saddle since you pedal so much and got exp. Although I assume you have titanium grade resistance in the area by now
Holla back! a.k.a car back!
Thank you for taking time to make this content. I appreciate it ❤
I can't see how that Infinity saddle could possibly be comfortable. Was it funded by the Preparation H parent company?
The Industry Nine Solix AR 40 wheels are sweet. 25mm internal and 35 external, 40mm deep.
Should have covered more of the Van Rysel Spot. Good trip by Portugal, do not eat too much here, or, you might never want to leave 🤣
Too late! 😀
Would love to hear your ride review of the felt breed carbon 😊
ditto
I want the new Hunts but me frame too small ☹
Great video, is that the hover x1 your using for your aerial follow shots?
Sure is. Not the perfect solution for many things, but super handy for one-man band quickie stuff.
@@TheRidewithBenDelaney thought so, very handy tool I use mine a lot
Since Lael Wilcox won dirty Kansa on a drop bar mtb, I’d say the “gravel” suspension fork is a regular suspension fork 🙄
Is it just me or did the tires on the Hunt wheels not even looks like they were seated properly?
The real question is, do you put on brand new tires for race day?
The only thing that peaked my interest was the Viral bike.
Everything else was 😴, no reflection on yourself of course.
Does the TREK radar fit on the regular flare light mount?
Yes, it does. Just checked it against little Bontragwr light mounts.
Did you try that Infinity seat? Review coming up?
Looking for the same.
I need support on my saddle, most cut out saddles have shit support like the slr boosts, made to last one season for over 400 Dollars
9:36 I can't get enough of mini-velos. They are the ultimate commuter bike.
as a pelvic surgeon that infinity saddle looks like a bad idea
Please elaborate, genuinely curious from someone who works in that ”field”, sorry for the pun 😅
Anybody remember Greg LeMond using a Rockshox form for Paris Roubaix? Nothing new.
You’re becoming quite the cameraman - you’re using your instincts and intuition to “follow-the-action.” It’s kind of a dance, and you’re really doing a great job - takes awhile to learn this skill. Try to always think: what can I REVEAL…?? Also, in your opening shot: the composition is a bit off: you could’ve placed yourself at the end of the “Lifetime” line - so that the line drew the viewer into you. Hope this helps. Great content as usual…!!
Thanks for the tips.
If you need suspension get a xc mtb
😊🎉😊
Why just not use niner
Welcome to my town! so fun to watch you riding on the routes I frequent. How was the trip?
Also, If you're wondering why the drone footage looks a bit jittery, check to see that you aren't running the drone at 30fps (looks like you work on a 24fps timeline from the video stats). I have run into this problem before and was tearing my hair out for a good while before figuring it out.
Cheers to another great video and looking forward to seeing ya out at Unbound if you plan on participating.
That baseball hat looks so dorky it must be cool? Is Scarab the wannabee Pegoretti of Colombia? L-Twoo, Microshift, etc. coming to a big-box/department store near you - straight to your garage and then to the scrap heap when nobody cares to (or can) fix it when it croaks?
Lighten up Francis
These "gravel' bikes are slowly evolving into xc mountain bikes.
The best gravel bike is indeed a fast hardtail MTB with steeper head angle, lower BB, drop bars and maybe more gears.. which is what a modern gravel bike is. I would not want to ride my XC race bike at Unbound this year.
People are crazy
Cane Creek - that’s a ridiculous claim.
As a European I try to avoid anything coming from China. I rather pay more for an 100% EU or 100% US product.
100% EU/US products exist?
Awsome vid like always!! We need a review of the Breed and the ltwoo group set 🙌🏼
Yes sir. Love my Felt. Underrated and under reviewed unfortunately. New VRs and FRs out TODAY!!!!
