imagine being a cow and having an infection deep in your foot that nobody knows about except you, then some random human comes along and relieves it
based on the title it be pretty disturbing to know that there's poop in your nails
PLEASE HELP - What should I do ... I originally made my thumbnails so that they'd stand out and people would realise the video was mine, around a year ago or so though a couple of others copied what I do with my thumbnails, so now mine aren't unique. I like the style and don't really want to change it, but I'm alway getting emails and messages from you guys who click on other videos thinking they're mine ... any ideas on how I could style them in a different way? 😕
You could make the logo bigger
Use your logo and Craig's face on all of them!
The notifications always lead with THEHOOFGP so I don't know how people are getting them mixed up
Put hoof up after copyright ing it in the corner and maybe a picture of you.
Hmm, maybe making a thumbnail that has your TH-cam channel name in it, and making the 2 o’s in hoof cow hooves? Also I love watching your videos 😊
Edit: my spelling is horrible
Poor lass she must have been in real pain and the relief she must have felt when you found that cavity, great job as always ..
First in 193 likes lol
yeah, good thing they got the cavity fixed tho
I lived in the Midwest USA for many years, drove by many cows in the field and never paid much attention to them, but I have to say your compassion for these animals is legendary. While I still will eat beef, I have a much greater respect for those who work on farms, and those that help take care of the cows. Thank you for all that you and your team does to ensure that these animals live comfortable lives.
And you know beef cattle in the fields aren't dairy cattle in the barns in the USA, right?
@@joywebster2678 I’m from the Midwest USA as well Joy. I’m not sure where you’re from but here we DO HAVE dairy cattle that graze out in the fields all over/they even give birth out in fields at times-hence when the farmer doesn’t get them in the barns in time!
Who told you to stop eating beef?
You understand that if we all stopped eating beef, all these animals animals' familiy trees would be immediately sawed off at the stump. This idea that you are harming them by doing what literally allows them to live in the first place is just mindless in my opinion.
@@ChadDidNothingWrongwho told you that he said the at he was going to stop eating beef
I can’t figure out if I prefer the voiceover videos like this or the borderline crazy ones with Craig and Kevin. They’re both awesome.
I much prefer the live audio.
Me too🇺🇸👍
I really love this one. It doubles as an educational video. Also, I'm not really a fan of the crazy stuff with fast editing cuts and blue jumper action even if I'm happy to see they're having so much fun doing those. Guess I'm too boring and old. :D
I prefer the ones where they are silly. But that’s because they act like I do around friends and family. 😂
He can't be ON all the time, so I understand the need for both.
So Graham I watch a lot of hoof trimmers but you are the only one I enjoy & appreciate! You are the only one that doesn’t leave the cow in the crush too long & you take extra care to not hurt them you keep the wounds clean & bandage & wrap very carefully now those things I’ve mentioned other trimmers do NOT do them they mess about & leave the poor cows in the crush way to long & it’s irritating to watch they just use the wrap & they let dirt in & they are not careful around the corium & just let them bleed it doesn’t seem likely saying this out loud it’s true so thanks for being you the BEST hoof trimmer in my opinion I’ve seen!🥰❤️
When you said that just 1 mistake could cause her to be lame, I thought “yeah but her quality of life is going to be so much better because of this trim” while I had all faith in you to be as careful as possible so she would heal well! Great job.
I don't think any amount of training would see me becoming confident enough to do that
Cow 243: Moo.
Cow 401: You bastard. I was going to say that.
I've been spending the last few hours watching these videos. I couldn't sleep, so these videos kept me company. Then I get treated with a fresh upload. Seeing things from back in the UK is so comforting for me during my studies in Japan as it gives me a taste of home.
I always listen to Graem when I've got insomnia.
Don't worry mate, you ain't missing much back home, although wages went up a bit which is cool 😂
Me too, it is currently 11:03 where I am rn and I know it’s not that late but it is still night time and I like I for some reason
This post was so satisfying. This beautiful creature must be in less pain. Thank you Graeme for all you do. Shout out to Kevin and Craigie Boy ❤❤❤❤
hes a clue, stop using animals as human enjoyment then they wouldnt need to "suffer"
@@IAMNationX here is another clue, try learning how to use the English language correctly by learning how to spell. Then we wouldn't have to "suffer" reading your spelling mistakes!
@@IAMNationX Do you mean Graeme is a clue? Are you saying that if we didn't watch these videos that cows would have perfect feet? They only have issues because we watch these videos?????
I marvel watching you peel away what needs to be taken off while leaving the tissue of the corium. But seeing the inner workings of the hoof bared is unreal!
Thank you
My favorite hoof trimmer. It's obvious how much you love your job and care for these animals. Your personality, the beauty of Scotland plus Craig and Kevin make your videos the best!❤😊
For other fun you may enjoy beaver lodges and dams. Try Post 10.
Oh poor cow 🥲. We can you’ll take good care of her!! You’re the best!!!❤❤ ❤
That poor cow, thank you for helping her, hope she can recover. Please keep us posted on her, thanks 🐄
Been shoeing horses for over thirty years off and on. To watch you dissect that hoof and doing your best to prolong her life painfree, not only makes her more productive but also happier. Great job Ole Son. Blessings on you and yours. As ever just Tom in Iowa
...And another innocent beast in pain and peril is delivered, danger averted, and order is in the process of being restored. (An excellent and very sparely told story! Well done!)
the fact you can see the cavity through the layers of the hoof is so interesting! i never noticed it was translucent before, but i guess i've also never really looked that closely at it, so 😅
That's as near of a perfect trim as I've seen you do on this channel. Such precision without mistake shows the level of expertise you bring to your trade
As a wise ogre once said… ONIONS. HAVE. LAYERS.
Indeed they do! Like parfaits!
@@NiDrew_Loverrr but not like cake
No matter if others try to copy you, there's only 1 true Graeme & 1 true "HERD"!
💚 🐄 🧡 🐂 💚
Graem you gotta do audio books. Your voiceovers are gold.
First - on your thumbnails just put your logo with the picture. Keeps it simple and is something we know to look for. Next - I was literally holding my breath on this one and so glad it went smoothly. Finally - have you ever had to cause a cow pain in order to help them? My granddaughter watches with me sometimes and she fell and skinned her knee. In trying to clean it I told her that sometimes it has to hurt before it can get better. She fell in some dirt and rocks. Well, her reply was that she told me to call you to come fix her knee because you never hurt the cows when you fix their “boo boos”.
I'm not Graham but I have worked with animals. Like all boo boos, sometimes it's gonna hurt before it gets better. But it won't get better unless you fix it. That's why the cow's behave nicely, because they realize he's helping relieve their pain and get better ❤
I can tell you from having watched lots of his videos that, in fact, the pressure it takes to cut the hoof horn, the occasional nick, the times he has to use the leverage tool to test for which foot is messed up, and plenty of other stuff, definitely hurt at least a bit.
Let granddaughter know that I cut my thumb very badly with a razor-sharp blade about a week ago. The initial cut, though nearly to the bone, barely hurt at the time but it hurt a lot to clean, sanitize, suture and bandage it. But did she see that vet-wrap he uses? I used the same thing as the outer bandage layer!
Maybe you can keep some on hand for the inevitable next time and she can get to pick a color.
Coflex is one brand-name but I buy vet wrap (there are many suppliers) as it's much less expensive and for humans, for animals, this supplier or that I think it's all made in just a few factories worldwide. Everything I've purchased has felt and performed just the same.
I agree with you about the logo in the thumbnail, that's a good idea.
Manure Bubbles would be a cool punk rock band name.
Swipe Of The Knife sounds good too
Sounds like a shit name. Lol
LMAO
🤣🤣🤣
The way I just cackled 😂
Lately I've been having bad anxiety and panic attacks and when I start to feel it come on I come to your channel to help ease my anxiety. Your voice is so soothing 😌 😊
God bless you
I enjoy your commentary about what you are doing! Also the TLC that you give each and every cow/bull hoof you work on! Thank you for what you do!
Your concern for these animals really comes through in the videos. I have a soft heart for animals as well. My wife tells people the smaller the animal the more I care for them and it is true. God bless you for the work you do.
Bless you! I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t care about animals!
You are, without a doubt, ( in my humble opinion) THE BEST hoof trimmer on TH-cam. Love your videos.
I actually have clicked on a video and watched and it wasn’t you so I said No Ty LOL 😊 There is nobody like you! I can feel your love for the animals. It’s why I watch. I’m not a hoof trimmer. I was recommended your videos and I am hooked. Your entire team is just so happy and I love Scotland. ❤️
I love them all. Everyone's different 😊
Thank you from The Netherlands
Thank you Graeme and gentlemen 😊. ❤️🇦🇺🏴
Thank you so much for sharing your work with us. Those of us who have grown up in villages with animals, including cows, know the work that goes into it and how delicate and dedicated your work is. For those who grew up in the cities and, on an excursion they took as children to a farm-school, discovered that the chickens did not come from Carrefour, this is a good experience to see your work and that of the farmers who have animals.
For different fun and interest try beaver lodges and dams . Watch Post 10.
My son-in-law and I have bonded over your videos, Graeme! Your hoof-trimming videos are the best on the internet.
Its 2am and im watching a man inna different country trim cow hooves.... im about it, ill never do this kind of work but i really love and respect the work that you do. Thank you for sharing it.
I feel like your next merch needs to be a Hoof GP bingo sheet: fractions of millimeters, white line defect, reduce the height, periople horn, imagine the relief, site of a typical sole ulcer, Craigie Boy...
This was such a beautiful result. I can see how heartening it must be for you to see such a healthy(-ish) pink corium with no digital dermatitis.. it feela like a strange thing to say, but now that I'm such a hoof enthusiast. Compared to how nasty and inflamed and raw they can be. I look forward to an update on this one to see how nicely it's healing.
I loved. So natural, you didn't put your face to disturb. Perfect video after waiting so long time for something like that
Love you all. Thank you for all that you do to help the cattle, cows, & calves. 😊❤
Your experience, expertise and humility make you an expert. The ability to adapt and analyse is there for all to see. Keep up the good work GP. Look forward to seeing more content!!
Thank you Graeme for your dedicated effort to help this lovely gal.
This is one of the best videos of watching Grahame swipe the hoof trimming without any blood. Almost to the end. but over all, he's done FANTASTIC job. hope all goes well for the cow!!
Wow! This trim actually gave me anxiety. You did such a great job being precise and gentle!
Your videos are so interesting and educational. Thank you for your content and kind regards from Germany (Schleswig-Holstein).
I like the paste form of salicylic acid you are using, so often in the past with the powder a fair bit would fall off when you placed the dressing. I enjoy watching you take care of cows, you are so kind
No experience with livestock but these videos are remarkably satisfying and make me want to move to Scotland. Not idea why
Watching Hoof GP trimming is so relaxing to me that it helps my anxiety level go down.
Mine too ❤
You have your heart in taking care of these awesome animals. In saying that what most would call your profession or job, it's really not for you because you really care about the welfare of these magnificent animals. When you love what you do it's really not work.
Thank you Sir.
Hi cannot wait to see how the heifer who had thr 'pus fountain' with in her pastern is doing. Also I have to say I miss your opening 'theme' song, not complaining or anything but just something about it made me feel as if i was home, or maybe a nostalgia feeling. Not really sure how to explain it but definitely miss it and the ride along with you in the beginning of your videos. But as always, THANK YOU for helping these beautiful animals and thank you for letting us into your life and see what it is you do. 🥰
Ive watched dozens if not hundreds of your videos... and this one had me holding my breath and anxiously averting my gaze
This is the one channel where I actively watch every video when they are uploaded.
Iv seen other hoof guys work and they just don't compare to the work you guys do a great job
That was one big mess! I am so glad you got her done and all wrapped up, great job!!
I’m missing Craig and Kevin! I love watching you work, Graem, and you’re the most skilled trimmer I’ve ever seen work! This cow will have a better life because of you! Thanks for what you do and thanks for sharing! Love and blessings to you and the crew!❤
I love watching you help these cows. You are a competent, kind, and respectful "Hoof GP"
I had manure bubbles the other day too.
I can, thankfully, only imagine the immense relief the moment the pressure is released 😊
Your videos are a reprieve for me with all happening in the world. Thank you, gentlemen. God bless.
I'm a big fan .
Hi! Grahame
That did not happen overnight. I am grateful you are there for her now. 🙏
My little Dutch boy(8yr old son) is always so happy with your video’s
Specially if there is pus involved
So in this one you mention the Netherlands and Belgium
I think he will love it even more
Shout out to Craigyboy and to your children (my son always asks for a video with them in it
Always a joy to see a new HGP vid
First
I truly love watching your videos. You do a great job with these cows! I will never be a hoof trimmer, but oddly enough, I like learning about the problems with cows' hooves. I've lived in the Midwest all my life and have never heard of trimming cow hooves until I came across your videos, and now I'm hooked!
I think you have a good soul and talent as well. I love how much you care for the cows.
If I had the money, which at the moment I truly don’t, I would get you a portable hosing machine so you were able to clean the hooves of each cow for a more perfect trim. Your work seems so tremendously important to the industry that I’ve always felt that such a machine would be integral to your business. I have watched most every single one of your videos. Your dedication is inspiring. I wish you, your family, Craig, Kevin, and any cow / bull treated all the best. Here’s to more success!! When I’m able I’ll purchase a Hoof GP sweatshirt. ✨🐮✨
I am slowly seeing every part of the hoof being uncovered, and I've been dying to see something like this. It's unbelievable the damage small things can do. I feel bad for the cows. But I love Hoof GP. They are the only crew on TH-cam, in my opinion. That genuinely cares for the cow itself. And every slice is carefully thought out. Every step is described for everyone to understand, and their is humor, so it's fun. I've learned so much being someone who knows nothing about hoof trimming. But I love this ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I must say, I love your voice. I honestly watched your videos to deal with insomnia as calm videos are the best to fall asleep. Now I'm watching them because of educational stuff.
This video was spellbinding. I couldn't turn away. Thanks for helping her with that painful foot.
Yep. I survived. It's super interesting. Praise be to you and your team and the farmers who love and care for their cows.
Graham your videos are perfect because of your explanations. You are the best❗
I must admit, I love your videos! I’m here in north Texas, USA. I used to do barefoot trimming on my horses myself and watching you with these cattle warms my heart. I will say tho, you’ve kinda got me spoiled. Lol. I have watched other cattle trimmers and I swear I’ve yelled at them through the TV. I find mistakes, like they don’t remove all of the loose edges then on rechecks, the poor cow is worse. Some don’t balance like you do or they go way to high into the heel, removing skin even without contacting a vet. Thank you for doing these videos. It means a lot to me!!
That’s kind of what I just said to him and I’m a 73 yr old gal. Only have farming in my heritage.
I really love watching your videos. It's so easy to tell how much you care about the animals that you take care of. I'm one of those animal lovers. However I do enjoy eating my meat. I love to hunt. I feel like I have a happy medium when it comes to such things. Anyway Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry people suck and steal your stuff. My grandson works with this type of thing. I will run it past him and see what he thinks. Take care
Best wishes to all of you from Alabama, USA
this poor girl must have been in so much pain!! glad you've fixed her hoof up for her.
I am sooo glad you were able to give her relief.
I truly haven’t had a problem. And what an incredible job you did on this cow, especially how tedious it was!😊
This content really brings people together from around the world to appreciate these beautiful beasts
Thank for the shout out to the Dutch people. And thank you for uploading. Have a wonderful day!
Thank you for caring for our foster mothers.
I just have to say how much my two girls (6 & 12) and I, love watching your vids. We watch right before bed and usually they’re asleep before the end. Thank you so much for amazing vids.
Great work Greame. Very precise with the knife. I'd love to see a follow up video on her if possible
You're so kind with those lady's hooves.❤❤❤
Your channel is such a unique one for me I started watching like 2 years ago and when I hear that intro music I get nostalgic idk why😅I love the music you use in general its so calming and good and days when I'm bored I literally can't stop watching your vids they're so satisfying and I even after seeing your vids thought about becoming a hoof trimmer for a slit second while watching one of your videos but I live in America and it's just not what I'm gonna do but still a really cool profession and line of work
Your commentary was so dramatic and suspenseful, I was sitting on the edge of my seat all trim! 😍😂
This is probably a dumb question, but I don't think I've seen anyone ask it. I had horses for years, including two that were foundered, so I know horse hooves extremely well. We've been through it all--cut off the toe, reversed shoes, abscesses busting through the sole, abscesses busting through the coronet band, farrier quicked a hoof, etc., etc. Obviously, cows are totally different with their two claws. What's the purpose of the torch on the claw before applying the block? Burning off dirt? Helps the glue set faster? Heat improves adhesion? Horses don't get blocks, and I've never seen a farrier use a torch to the foot for any reason. It's been bugging me since I first found your channel and inquirying minds need to know. Thanks!
Testament to how far I've come as a city boy subscriber, when I saw you taking pieces off the axial wall of that hoof I found myself holding my breath cause I've learned from you that's a really difficult area to be working with!
The relief she must feel, hoping she heals up nicely ^^
i actually get nervous watching you cut away so delicately at the hoof.
honestly, i wouldn’t have the guts to do this job, so i live vicariously through your good work.
Great job and praying for her to heal completely.
Wow! Look what you did! Simply the BEST! ❤🙏🏻
Considering how loose that horn was, the corium looked to be in pretty good shape! Nicely done on the fine work, sir!
Another job well done Graham. Thankyou for a great video. I'm sure with all of this help she'll heal quite nicely. God bless you and your beautiful family. Sending love from NC, 🇺🇸.
Who knew watching hoof trimming videos could be so relaxing? Greetings from Arizona!
Holy hell - one of the best trims on this channel! Outstanding work fellas!
I am from the netherlands, but never heard the "hornie shoe. We can them hoef (hoof) and that sound exactly the same as English. With horses it's called a hoefijzer (hoof iron) it's is this way because English and Dutch are both germanic languages, so they have a lot of similarities 😅.
Keep up the good work💪
Love this HOOFGP! So wish I was younger and rich I would go to Scotland to see this crew that care so much for their girls. Not many people have that kind of caring for animals. 🥰
Thank you for your intense care for these cows foots! Makes me feel good and the cow!
I've ordered the one heard shirt for my boyfriend and I who watch your videos cuddled in bed each night before bed. I can't wait to get them and happy to support your business much love from green Bay Wisconsin
You are truly a blessing to these beautiful cows❤
I love how you have so much kindness and care for these animals, better yet your family it seems. While I know nothing about farm animals, I am the same way with dogs. I treat them with the same love, kindness and respect. Taking a dog that only knows a bed and bathroom outside to a dog with the biggest smile and playfulness. Such a happy young sole, but stuck in a old 16yr body almost 17yrs. But I love that smile and playfulness she has.
