From now on, when I look in the mirror, I'll tell myself, "Those aren't old age wrinkles. Those are hardship lines... and I've been through a LOT of hardship, apparently."
I like that
😄👍🏻
Nah man, they are old age lines. Been delsuional about that, wont change that fact.
I call them my battle wounds 😂😉
@@Sweetlyfehave had the same exact experience and I look at the scars as a reminder of how strong I am! ✌🏼
After 40 years in Veterinary Medicine, I am amazed at how much I learn from you in each video. Thank you so much for all the work you put into your videos!!
My three daughters and I cuddle up on the couch and watch your videos. They get very concerned and then very happy that you are able to help so many cows and bulls feel better. Keep up the amazing work, gentlemen!
What a cute picture that paints! 🌺😍
I have a 2 year old daughter and 7 month old daughter and look forward to a similar cuddle and watch with them ❤ Happy Father’s Day ahead of time
@@T.Lawson1029 Happy (early) Father's Day to you as well!
Craig, your "hardship lines" look like you've been blessed with laughter in your life! Keep it up!
Pretty sure I know who was causing those hardship lines 😂
Fun fact! Humans can actually get hardship lines, but we get them on our teeth. They're called Harris Lines, and they're due to hard times during childhood when the teeth are developing.
Not just teeth
Teeth are actually already developed when I the womb
In
@@angelabutler5488 only baby teeth, and they're not fully developed even at birth. Adult teeth develop in the jaw as the child ages.
In that case, I had a very hard time growing up. 🥺
This was like cutting an eye out of a potato….one of the ones that starts with a tiny brown spot, then as you cut it out, it gets bigger and encompasses more of the spud…until you realise you only have a tiny bit of good potato left.
Perfect analogy!😂
@@CopingwithGrattitude 😁
Craig gets the most hilarious "unamused" expression on his face when being razzed by Graeme; it's like that meme of the Indian team owner with his hands on his hips
Wow, Craig has very fine eyes.
@@wendymortimer6862 I just noticed that too, Graeme does as well! I feel weird, I'm glad someone else noticed. Maybe its a Scottish thing?
I was surprised that Craig didn't say he didn't have those "Hardship Lines" until he became related to Graeme. 🤣
Cause Craig's unsurcomesized! His wife's been nagging him to get a wee nip lol
I'm completely obsessed with your channel, brother. Big leap from Vietnamese pimple popping to cow hoof trimming but here I am 🤣
Lol amazing
Hahahaah brilliant that
My people
Right?! 😂👍🏻
You are just like me. I can watch the pimples popping and hoof gp with my last data.
Ok you made me go look up a hoof bone diagram and I don't even have cows. Lol
I imagine there are quite a few people that have done that because of him. Pretty cool.
😂
@@ConkreteMan I know I did.😅
Thanks Graeme. Thought the infection was going to track up much further! Thank goodness she’s now in recovery mode!❤️🇦🇺🏴
Many years ago I heard a cardio surgeon describe a procedure for treating peril-carditis as scraping away a chickens egg shell, without disturbing the membrane that holds the egg together with regard to the hardening of the membrane surrounding the heart. Watching this video reminds me of this! I wonder why? Excellent work from a truly caring and talented hoof surgeon (you may want to change your title from GP to surgeon now)
I don't know if you'll see this being how many comments you usually get but I still wanted to say thank you for these videos allowing me to get my mind off all this craziness in this world right now especially in my own country of America. I find them very interesting and I love how much you care! Once again THANK YOU!
I second that! Amen!
Likewise!!!
It's something I can't explain...but I am very interested in this type of content. It's probably so far from any knowledge I have that it keeps me glued
Craig’s already plotting his revenge for that you can see it in his eyes
Haha😂
His hardship eyes.
😈😈👹 LOL😊
This is the way
Get him, Cragie boy!!
It's not just about hoofs, its about caring, healing and dedication. Thank you Graeme...for everything you do. Shout out to Kevin and the loveable Craigie Boy ❤❤
Why is watching you three work so absolutely relaxing? I wonder if it's the rhythmic knife work, as well as the knowledge that you are doing it to make the cows feel much better. I don't think there is any cow that has left your crush in a worse state (Even Gracie), and your determination to do your best for the herd shows every time you post a video. Much love to you all x
It's so relaxing watching somebody else working whilst I'm laying in my bed !!!
Listening to you nerd out about the medical side of what causes the hardship lines was pretty cool. It’s always fun to listen to someone nerd out explaining something they love.
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain some of the anatomy of the hoof. I always wondered why you modeled them out. I hope you have a very blessed day and weekend.❤
I find these videos fascinating.
I had a mare blow a huge abscess out the front of her hoof when she had pneumonia. I had never seen a "hardship" abscess, aside from rasping it smooth and wrapping it in duct tape to keep debris out, nothing was done to it. It had to grow out over time.
Hi Graeme, how time flys. You mean I've been watching you since 2019? I can't believe it, but I'm so glad I found you. I ordered the herd t-shirt a few days ago. I have never ordered from any channel, but this old farm girl had to be apart of this family. I placed my trust in you. I can't wait to receive it. Take care and stay safe till next time. ❤️ ❤❤
Oh, my goodness, what a lesson in delicate knife work and your excellent knowledge of how the hoof grows and its specific characteristics. I feel so badly for this cow! It’s hard to imagine the pain she has been experiencing and still producing milk! Hope you get her better, Graeme!
Watching the cows leaving the crush in your videos always reminds me of me walking on a new prosthetic leg. You don't walk perfectly at first but give it a few minutes (and adjustments) and you're good to go.
You are a wizard with the knife. I used to occasionally trim horse hoofs. It is not as easy as you make it look. I wish horses could be put in a squeeze like yours. It would have saved my back. Love your videos and learn a lot.
Thanks, from Alberta 🇨🇦
Glad she's in your care.❤❤❤ thank you very much.😊
Graeme, I know you've been asked about using a dremel, but have you ever looked using a medical grade rotary tool like podiatrists use for some of this delicate work like you did for today's cow?
Some podiatrists actually use Dremels! All they need is the right drill bits.
I love the way you react to each other, your friendship comes across as so genuine. Thanks for helping the animals, they need someone like you and your crew. Violet from Louisiana
Poor baby I hope she heals so much better
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain some of the anatomy of the hoof. I always wondered why you modeled them out. I hope you have a very blessed day and weekend.❤ also, please start listing the songs you use in your different videos💜
Growing up on a horse farm I worked as a farrier all the time. I could have learned to work with cows but I was really intimidated lol Great job!
Hi Graeme, I absolutely love your channel and being a member is my absolute pleasure! Where do you get the time to do have a full time career, produce the best TH-cam content for your channel, communicate with fans... as well as enjoy your family time and personal life?? You are a human dynamo! Keep up the great work, them bovine babes are lucky to have you fixing their feet! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Great showing of knife skills! Love seeing the manual work, as it’s just beautiful! Thanks for the video Graem 🖤
Thank you for the love and care that you give each and every one of them.🎉🎉❤❤😊😊
Any of Craig's hardship lines come from working for Graime 😂😂
Those animals go through so much every day for years and they are still willing to be loving and caring to humans: Sometimes I wonder how we became worthy of that kind of love
We're not. Animals are very forgiving
Well the animals (particularly these cows) have no choice do they?
I love the way you react to each other, your friendship comes across as so genuine. Thanks for helping the animals, they need someone like you and your crew. Violet from Louisiana 😊
Thank you Graeme, for always teaching us new things about cows. I also thank you for showing her face.
Craigy boy has the most fantastic complexion, new appreciation unlocked 😂
He really does, lovely colouring and clear skin
I don’t know why, but this seems very satisfying to me. Seeing something else be healed and made more comfortable. Good job. God bless you.
I'm so glad that there are people like you guy's who do this stuff. The work you do is both mesmerising and (oddly) relaxing!
Great job Graeme! Craig cracks me up...and Kev is usually so quiet. Thanks to you all!
Craig has the best unimpressed expression 😂
Thank you Graeme for sharing your hoof trimming with the world. I have learned so much about the feet/hoofs of cows from you. I enjoy watching and hearing the accents of my family heritage. I ordered a Herd Shirt tonight and can not wait for it to come.💖🐮🐂🐄🐃. ✌💗🕯
My 2 year old absolutely LOVES watching "cows" with mama. He watches the videos to go to sleep for nap time or when he's having a meltdown we just ask him if he wants to watch cows and he just settles right down. If its a good day and hes happy going down for nap time he points and chirps at the video whenever there's a cow or he sees something that really interests him. And when he hears Graeme come on he comes running.
I've been watching you for around a year and now I know why you model out the hooves, excellent explanation!
I can relate I suffer with pain in my ischial tuberosity, which is the bone you sit on. As I am permanently in a wheelchair it can be rather troublesome so just like your modelling there are contour cushions available where the corresponding area is scooped out. Same problem just different solutions.
I needed extra pressure relief so I have a cushion filled with things just like triangle teabags (for those that remember them) that are filled with air.
The cows solution is altogether simpler but achieves the same result!
You guys are fun to watch, nice to look at as well, and lovely to listen to your accents. As always, it’s good learning about the cows hooves, and also to join in on the humor and cameraderie you all share. Thanks once again, Cindy 🐄💕🐄💕
When it comes to wallhorn lesions - would it make sense tp soak the hoof in water before trimming so that the material to teim away gets softer ?
Been watching your videos for a long time, always amazed at your knife work. I used to know someone who looks super similar to you even had the same mannerisms. Keep up the good work mate wishing nothing but the best for you.
Love listening to Hoof GP while working. It's therapeutic. I enjoy hearing the accent and try to mimic when talking to my gal, "ah lit-tell bet." Enjoy the cheeky humor. But mostly like the doing for cattle what they can't do for themselves. I like when their pain is reduced and they're on the faster track for mending😊
You are an absolute genius when it comes to trimming! Please come to Florida, we need somebody to trim all our beef cattle that has your level of expertise!
I just can't get over how clean this cows hoof is. Great job Graeme&crew !!🇺🇸😊👏
I got my HGP travel coffee thermos! I absolutely love it. Thank you Graeme.
I don't know why I am fascinated with bovine feet, but I am. It's so mesmerising. Thank you Graeme.
Although I've never trimmed hooves, probably will never have to either, I've learned so much from watching this channel!
Thank you for taking the time to explain
I was thinking just the same. I have however trimmed my cat's nails and let me tell you the cows are much better well behaved.🤣😂🤭 Thank God cows don't hiss, bite, or scratch. 😆 Couldn't even imagine it.
It's shows how much everyone really does love to learn, if we just had good teachers treated well that are able to keep their passion alive.
We're curious and passionate by nature, but so often that's beaten out if us.
But there's very little as engaging as being able to listen to someone that's truly passionate and informed, share that passion with others.
Graeme, it must feel so good at the end of a long work day to know that you gave relief from pain to a living creature as sweet as these cows.💚🐄🧡🐂💚
Graeme I've been enjoying your new camera. The recent videos have been so clear, it's like being there in person. Really really nice!! I can see discoloration way better on the hoof and follow what you're saying. Thank you for looking after the herd this way. Big hugs to you and your family
"Hardship lines". Lol Ill remember that one.
I dont see anybody else saying it, and Craig didnt say it, so Ill say it in the his stead and come to his defense! Those hardship lines only appeared the day he started working for you! 😂
Next time my mother complains about her wrinkles, Ill tell her what they truly are. Great job helping this cow. As she walks away, it looks like she's already taken to that block. Doesnt seem to be limping as bad.
That poor cow! You couldn’t have fully dealt with that hoof’s issues without your sturdy crush to hold it firmly but safely in place despite her struggles. You could see her looking at that hoof in seeming puzzlement as she left the crush, and she was already starting to walk better on her way back to the field. Must be satisfying.
No reaction? You got a big snort (not snot, lol) out of me! I'll be calling all my "lines" that from now on, lmao!😂👵🏼
Exactly!! LOLed for sure 😂
Why is that foot so clean? That surprised me so much that I checked to see if it was your channel :D Great job and great video. I'm sure that she is quite happy that you worked on her. Thank you.
Thank you for helping this Poor cow 🐄 ❤
How do you know this cow is poor???
WOW GLAD YOU COULD HELP THIS POOR COW --🥰🥰🥰
Poor girl- hope she heals quickly and grows her hoof stronger and new. :D Stay safe :D
Love your videos, Graeme. So informative. I'm so glad you found the problem with these 🐄. They'll be very happy.
I've received my one herd s/s travel mug last week all the way here, in Bargara, Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺🦘. I absolutely love it ❤️❤️. It keeps my coffee & tea hot. Thanks.
Sadly, the herd t-shirt is already Sold Out in Small 😢😢😢
When you talk about modeling out of foot, I always just think of the arch on your normal foot and how when you walk that also helps alleviate the pressure from your knees and your ankles by helping with shock
I love that you took the time to explain this problem in detail. Thank you Graeme.
Is it concerning that i thought Craigieboys eyes were rather stunning when he was giving the death stare???? Hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿
Thank you for the explanation about the modeling out! I’ve learned so much from your videos - and you all make it comfortable and welcoming!
Hi graham i have a cow with a similiar problem and the side of her foot keeps on weeping i cant get it healed up. I have used iodine and wrappped with salicic acid and also blue spray but it keeps on coming back in advice would be most appreciated thanks keep up the great work
I need to ask a question? I don't have cows I have horses and I've asked you questions before, other people have answered so I hope they answered me correctly, my question is this what does saline do for hoofs?
@TheHoofGP You are one of the most kind people I have watched over the years. You remind me of my ancestors teachings with livestock.
Thank you Graeme for another caring and informative video on bovines feet. Speaking of your freeform the herd t-shirt it's gone again. How can I can't order it? Help 💜
Thank you for telling us why you model the hoof. I always wondered why.
I thought it was gonna be a lot worse. I don't know how i got into watching hoof trimming but ever since i started watching Hoof GP that was it I love the work you all do❤
This was one of the most interesting cases I've seen you work on. Really amazing.
How in the world does something like this occur? So glad you are able to help this start healing.
Love watching your videos as they relax me. You gentlemen do a fine job of taking care of the cows🤗
Love watching you trim the hooves makes me want to work with you !! Awesome video 🙋♀️💕
Another wonderful video. Hello Craig and Kevin! You guys have so much fun bugging each other. Love Craig’s deadpan look at you. 😂🤣❤❤
Hey chaps how's it going hope all is well with you all my friends. Anyway thanks for another awesome show I enjoyed it very much all the best kind regards Gregory Lee from Melbourne Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 😀 👋👍.
wowwowwow what a service,,,tender in the best way!! theres no way she could have had better treatment nor have told anyone he pain when this all started,,,,i sure you do a followup on her,,,,these major problems are the very best videos,,,,thanks for your caring
This was very Interesting indeed! Thank You for Sharing!
🤣😂When Graham said he was trying to get his little flapper out of the way😂🤣5:58
around 6min when you made a hook cut, the way you said "that went quite well" really shows how much u love and take pride in your work.
your Videos are very calming to Watch. Anything related to farming is so cozy to me and I adore how much you care about those cows.
Although i have to admit, as a non english native it is hard to understand sometimes and so far in there was any Farmer speaking i didnt understand anything 😂
Keep up the good work 🌻💪🏼🐮
Just curious, why did the inner claw get a big chunk taken out too?
You have taken your time to take care of cows in a very special way you are like a professor in a university explaining each detail that the five year old can understand what a great way to make a see the importance of your job the greatness of your technique. You’re definitely a doctor scholarship sincerely, you are one of the best and you work issue one of your workers. I believe they do use as good as you do to issue one of them to yourself you earned yourself a great self-respect from all followers🎉😊
Graeme, either you are getting really strong or that's the softest wall horn you've ever shown us!
But also as someone who really loves doing wound care, that looks so so so much better!
Love how gentle you are. I've watched another guy and wasn't impressed at how often he caused the cow to bleed
Hardship lines, I love it! Fascinating to see how you carve away at the problem until you've got all of it exposed. Thank you, always intetesting.
Holy hell. I'm just a random viewer from Sweden, I have no clue about the work other than what I've learned from watching you.
But I have to say, that knife-work was smooth. When you did the half circle near the soft area, I held my breath. That was amazing and so good to watch!
Also, I wish you could have put the sale up for the T-shirts at the end of the month. I can't afford it in the middle, lol T__T
I’m jealous! Craig hardly has any wrinkles at all.
Respect to farmers and people like you. I travel around in my motor home a lot and every time I see cattle I think of all the hard work you all do. To give us milk and food xx
Courage. That is what it needs to continue on carving the area that is problematic. I personally am near heart attack just by cuting my dogs nails! I can't imagine my self doing this... 🙀
Wow what a case! Yay!!! Thank you for restocking the shirts! I got one this time🎉
I also call them laugh lines! Sure, all my new ones are “hardship” but I count myself lucky most are from good times. I am seriously amazed at the pure artistry of your knife skills, way beyond experience and on to another level.
I’ve already bought both. Love your videos. Awesome work you guys are doing.
Really enjoyed this trim, so nice to have a talk through without distraction from music. Love a bit of biology info which is completely useless for me to know haha! The hoof trims are so interesting to watch, great video 🫶🏾
Going to be in Edinburgh in 16 days. Then a 6 day tour of your fine country ending in Glasgow. Can't wait to see it!! Thanks for all you do!!
How much hoof can you take off, and it still grows back? How much is safe to take off before its considered an amputation? Looks like you took off about 25% on that 1 toe
Nice to finally see a dry Spring day.
You started your Channel the same month & year my husband died…. That’s one I’ll never forget…
