I’m an ER surgical RN. Needless to say; my stress level is up there. One of your older videos was in my feed, so I decided to watch while I was on a work break. You’re a godsend! I cannot tell you how much you’ve helped me with my stress! In one way or another; we’re all here to help each other and our animals. Whether it’s a patient with two legs or four; it’s up to us to make their lives better.
I can relate! These videos help me cope with OCD. When I get a skin-picking compulsion, I watch these until it’s gone. Empathizing with the cows allows me to feel clean!
Here in US enjoying the positivity and good cheer HGP always brings! The way you fellas help these ladies is amazing to watch and the humor with which you do it is a bonus. I just love you everyone!❤
It has come to my attention HGP, that’s someone has been taking clips of your videos, not giving you credit, and speeding them up to avoid copyright. I thought I’d bring it up just to warn you.
I love how Graeme always explains what he is doing at the beginning of his videos because he doesn't want new people to have to scroll to old ones just for the basic know how. What a considerate man
I've lost track of how many videos I've watched from your channel, nor do I remember how you showed up in my suggestions one day. I am in no way a hoof trimmer or have any plans to become one, but I find myself looking forward to every new video you post, and I've learned far more about your field of work and hoof care in general than I ever expected to. It's all just so... fascinating, honestly. Looking forward to the next one, Graeme!
i like the detailed explanation of what is going on and not so much conversation,,,i can get conversation with my pals,,,what im coming here for is an education and to view all the caring and progress of this wonderful work,,,,,i do miss your singing cows though and music,,,take care bill in alabama usa
Hi Hgp I’m 16 and started watching your vids when I was 12 (2020) when school was out I’m from the USA and I love you ngl u really helped me through some tough times in life ❤.
Graeme we need more HGP. We know you have a life outside of HGP full of responsibilities but we’re selfish because we love you all so much. So can you please give us more! 😂❤
Just watched your fed by farmers podcast interview. You are an awesome. Your are generous, family loving, honest, hardworking, and I am so impressed by your openness. Thank you so much. Keep on trimming and loving those who support you. Hugs.
Hi Graeme! 😄 I find myself trying to pick out the things wrong with each hoof based on all I've learned from you. I'm amazed by how much I know about a cow's hoof. 💚🐄
I love everything you do, but I miss the long form videos with the music, seeing where you’re going, laughing with the boys, and generally having a grand time. Even if you don’t find a cow with a problem, it’s still enjoyable. Much love to you and yours ❤
It's incredibly comforting to know there are people with your expertise (and every bit as importance....concern) taking care of these animals. Very interesting to watch. Well done, my friend.
It is amazing that in one day this has been seen nearly 500,000 times. From listening to your story a few weeks ago but about your hard times to where this is now, well done!
I don't have a cow and probably never will, but I love seeing your videos. They're so relaxing. It's nice to see the cows get better after their sessions 🥰
It is so, I don't have the right words, interesting, amazing, powerful, inspirational and moving are the ones that come to mind first when I watch your videos. You can tell you really do care and feel for these cows when they come in hurting and painful. I am not sure you even notice but your voice changes ever so slightly when you work on a heifer or bull that is truly in need of your care. Your lilt becomes slightly more thick and your voice softens, almost as if you want the animal to understand you are there to help. I have learned so much from the years of watching you all the way back to cow 812 (I believe it was she has a book about her written). Thank you so truly much for your love, care and compassion to those who need your healing touch Greame, you and the boys have helped so many and taught so many of us it really is inspirational and moving.
Hey Graeme I recently became a member as I am a huge fan of your work! Ive learned so much from you- not just about hoof trimming and bovine biology, but about modern cattle farming in general. You have changed my perception of modern farming and seeing the use of technology to benefit the cows giving them a far better quality of life! I live in the Big Smoke of London but I would love to live in SW Scotland doing your job. All that hard work, dedication in a beautiful location... you are the dream!!!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like this video was more zoomed in than usual, and it really gave me a lot more appreciation for how delicate the knifework really is.
I love your videos so much that I asked my cutting horse Sylvester if he wanted to watch with me and of course he nodded his head up and down meaning yes. We watched you together on my phone. Sylvester has a hoof trim in the morning.
I love hearing the cows talk. It has a soothing effect on me. The lowing ever how that should be spelled makes the stress of the day just go away. Who knew nature could nurture. What a gift to man.🥰
I've watched your channel for months now.. and even re-watch certain videos. Thank you so much for helping these beautiful creatures and educating us at the same time!! I don't even know how you got on my Facebook news feed but I loved your content and searched for your channel on TH-cam.
Now at 64 wish I listened to myself to do vocational school. During high school adults didn't listen to me, worked for a living in offices, never satisfied inside, just worked. Too late to go back, financially and physically, not happening. Love watching.
Just went back and watched the compilation of foreign objects removed. Now we need best pops.... overgrown hoof and well i wasnt expecting that compilations... ooohh and most difficult healing journey.
These videos give me so much nostalgia with my grandparents. Growing up, we had lunch once a week for decades. We're Dutch, so every weekly lunch we had Gouda.
The ability for the hoof to heal and regrow especially in the filthy environment of manure is always amazing to me! You are doing great work and have my respect for sure! ❤
God Bless you for all u do for these cows, you do your work with love and compassion and it’s rare to find someone like you! Thank you for your hard work and dedication!😊
This city girl had no idea cows can have so many problems with their hoofs. I enjoy your videos and learned so much about cows. Keep up the good work. You all are the best!
It looked like both claws were in trouble at the beginning but you sorted out the left claw for a block. This cow is going to feel much better now. Thank you for helping your Lovely Ladies! 😀🐄💜
yes.. onions donkey. have layers... but never as good as the princes... lol ... ps thank you graham. for all the work you do to help these lady's .. retried old farm hand
I love the variety Graham, its nice getting different styles and moods with your channel. Always positive, always informative, super high production quality every time, whether it's messing with the lads, or giving a masterclass in technique, honestly, thanks, its clearly a lot of work, we appreciate it 👍
Not only am I a HUGE MOO FAN! This has given me great reconsideration of owning them. Always wanted a coupla Highlands~ have beautiful acreage for them… but the hoof care makes me incredibly hesitant! However I have never met gentler creatures outside of the dogworld. Actually? They’re even better. ❤ Thanks for sharing and all ya do!
Dairy cows are different than beef cows. They are much tamer and more friendly, especially if it’s a smaller herd. When cows are raised by people from birth they act very different. I had a dairy cross steer who thought he was a dog. His best friend was our big farm dog and he always came running when he saw us.
How can you not like cows? All they do is stand in a pasture and eat grass all day. They're not aggressive or mean. They aren't confrontational. Actually they can be very interesting. They like to listen to music and will supposedly give "better" milk if you play music for them. They like to be petted and scratched behind the ears like puppies. They're just the best, I love cows! Would totally own a couple if I lived on a farm. 🐮
@@whimsygrove9971 not all cows are the same. Ones that are handled frequently are very tame. Those who have not been need to be watched when you are around them. Even the tame ones can hurt you even when they don’t mean to. We had a pet steer that was very gentle and loving. He would come running to greet you like a dog. The problem was he weighed about 900 lbs and had horns. He didn’t realize that when he turned his head back and forth to be scratched he was knocking into our legs pretty hard. I had constant bruises. Size does matter. He wasn’t even full grown yet.
This may sound silly, but watching you and your crew always makes a bright spot in our day. A nice break from the tense BS of politics here in the USA! Thank you!❤❤❤❤❤
Such a deep problem in this hoof. Glad it has been noticed and the cow brought to you for trimming and healing. Thanks for another video though it did seem to end abruptly.
Your vids of bovine hooves always remind me of a fresh coconut with the pure white healthy young hoof horn surrounded by an edge of rock-hard material like the coconut shell! The problem stuff dark then further in, many coloured, depending on the damage and any pathogens!
I'm always amazed what paper thin slices you're able to take away with that knife. It's incredible! All of your movements are so smooth and efficient. I recently watched a video of someone else trimming a cow's problem hoof and their movements were so awkward, jerky and the pieces so chunky that it took them forever. I couldn't help but think the whole time that they were just butchering the poor cow's foot as they even cut through the live tissue of the heel bulb despite the problem not even extending that far up (not to mention the lack of local anesthesia!). I kept thinking "they need to take the Hoof GP's online hoof trimming course!"
Graham I ❤ to watch your videos. I admire how you help these animals out. It amazes me they go in the crush barely Able to walk but when they come out they might look stiff but I can tell the difference in their walking now that’s cool because I only know what I see you do or hear you say what is wrong. (This might not be important to you but it is to me because I live it everyday) I watch these animals & you can see them in pain & I also see them in pain in their faces & eyes. I’ve had chronic pain for over 40 years. Been everywhere to see if who if any can help me to ease the pain. I live on the east coast of the United States. I’ve been North, south, west to get help. I know the Drs really try to help but not yet so far. But I don’t give up hope. (LOL) I wish they had a crush I could walk In but walk out feeling better. I know it sounds crazy but I’m telling you I wish it were that easy for humans. Anyway Graham (hope that’s how you spell your name if not I’m sorry). Please don’t stop helping these animals because they have no voice. I sometimes think you do know what they are saying. I can’t say thank you enough for doing everything you know how to make them heal & help with their pain. Trust me I can see their pain in their eyes & faces. & when your putting them in the crush before & after. Again THANK YOU. I think you have a beautiful family. You have 2 cutie pies. I have 2 boys also but mine are a hair older. You & your wife look like good parents & that’s hard too do sometimes but like the animals you help Never Quit on your family. That’s one of the most important precious❤ things you have in life. If I ever get to Scotland maybe we all could have lunch/dinner together as friends. I might be wrong but I’ve heard you talk about traveling all over. Is this entirely for you to learn more or teach others more about your profession. I hope your family gets to travel with you. Traveling in itself is educational for us all. That’s one thing that doesn’t matter about age. We all can learn something new everyday & still not know it all. As they say thanks for the memories. I would have never thought I’d be interested in watching & learning about animals in this way. Well wishes & good luck in all your lives. 🇺🇸❤️🌎👏❤️🏴Take care & thanks for listening if you’re able to. 👏👏👏
“Chasms and Caverns” - another fantastic Graemeism. Also a great Minecraft add on title. Add it to “loose and overburdening good horn,” “remove the edges so they don’t insult the wound,” and of course “CraigeyBoy!”
Hey Graeme, hope you and yours are well. Love the videos, I find them so relaxing. I am however missing the usual intro. I love the music etc. please if it's not too much trouble add those into your videos. Much respect 😁🤞🏼🫶🏼
Graeme we need more HGP. We know you have a life outside of HGP full of responsibilities but we’re selfish because we love you all so much. So can you please give us more! 😂❤.
This is another one I thought we might see a problem on both toes of the same foot, but alas he was able to block it. I wonder what can be done if both toes are damaged - since you can’t really block (I assume).
I've come across some similar videos to yours regarding that of farriers. With what research that I've done, they focus on horse hooves so I got to wondering, 1) do those who trim the hooves of cattle have a similar title and 2) does your skills trimming cattle hooves transfer over to horse hooves?
icelander here and I have watched this channel from time to time and I do have one question, have you ever like gotten a cow that both the inner and outer claw was umm like damaged same time, don't know the right wording in this, I hope you understand what I mean and if that case what can be done if anything. thanks
Question... I watch the majority of YT videos without sound so you may have answered my question a hundred times. If so, my apologies. I just wanted to know, of all the cases you handle, what percentage of animals suffering from hoof issues is a result of owner negligence? And thank you for all you do to relieve the suffering of these marvelous creatures.
It seems like the majority of the farmers he works with are pretty careful with their cattle, but a lot of then also have herds with upwards of 500 cows. Some of them also buy cows that have been mistreated by their previous owners. Graeme frequently makes a point to explain why and how an injury could have progressed as far as it did. I have no experience with cattle myself, so I just have to take his word for it, but Graeme definitely comes across as someone who really cares about the animals he works on. If you have the opportunity, you might try a few videos with sound some time -- Graeme is a delight to listen to.
Although it would also be really nice if he or someone else put proper closed captioning on his videos... having done some captioning myself, I know that's not necessarily a quick job, but not everyone can hear his dulcet tones. I do sometimes wish I could make a quick buck or two captioning stuff like this, haha.

After watching this channel for a while, whenever I’m peeling potatoes I like to pretend I’m trimming a cows hoof 😂
I love this! ❤
Same 😂
Potatoes might smell better!
I always think of very thinly slicing a hard cheese when I’m watching this videos 😂
Do you scrape the eyes? Get out the dark spots? lol
Just watched your fed by farmers podcast interview. You are an awesome. Your are generous, family loving, honest, hardworking, and I am so impressed by your openness. Thank you so much. Keep on trimming and loving those who support you. Hugs.
I don't know about anyone else but i love hearing the cattle in the background. Great video
So much better without all the music! I want to see the work and hear you explain the process. This is better than before. Keep this style going.
I don't like the music either. I always turn the volume all the way down.
I fall into you
I agree. I know the music shows how clever you’ve become with editing, but I, also, prefer without and love to hear the explanations
I bet you are a Hero to these sweet souls ❤️
Such a grand profession ❤
I find it absolutely intriguing to watch !!!
Thank you from the US 😊

Thank you once again for this great video❤❤❤❤❤❤.
“Chasms and Caverns” - another fantastic Graemeism. Also a great Minecraft add on title.
Add it to “loose and overburdening good horn,” “remove the edges so they don’t insult the wound,” and of course “CraigeyBoy!”
Love seeing you guys work & make a difference to these cows❤
The care and relief you give these girls are amazing. Do the cows eventually associate pain relief with you and your activities with them?
Hey Graeme, hope you and yours are well. Love the videos, I find them so relaxing.
I am however missing the usual intro. I love the music etc. please if it's not too much trouble add those into your videos.
Much respect 😁🤞🏼🫶🏼
Another excellent Hoof GP video!
You wonderful caring cow wizard
I love you for helping the fur moo moo babies and they love you even more 😘 💓 💕 💖 💗 ❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Another amazing video! Love and blessings boys!❤
Graeme we need more HGP. We know you have a life outside of HGP full of responsibilities but we’re selfish because we love you all so much. So can you please give us more! 😂❤.
How about a video of you and the (extended) family sharing a relaxing holiday or two!
so cool i love this channel, Graham does a wonderful job with the hoofs as does his family...
Would love to see some more follow ups on the repairs... especially ones like this! Thanks for sharing your work...
As my favourite Vulcan would say: Fascinating.
You’re a great teacher- I told my nephew you had to get behind that translucent bit!😂❤
This is another one I thought we might see a problem on both toes of the same foot, but alas he was able to block it. I wonder what can be done if both toes are damaged - since you can’t really block (I assume).
first time i've heard chasms being used to describe the cow hoof.. Thanks for another great video.
Great content as usual, Graeme!!
I've come across some similar videos to yours regarding that of farriers. With what research that I've done, they focus on horse hooves so I got to wondering, 1) do those who trim the hooves of cattle have a similar title and 2) does your skills trimming cattle hooves transfer over to horse hooves?
Love the tune towards the end of the vid...
icelander here and I have watched this channel from time to time and I do have one question, have you ever like gotten a cow that both the inner and outer claw was umm like damaged same time, don't know the right wording in this, I hope you understand what I mean and if that case what can be done if anything. thanks
I’ve just discovered this channel and find this fascinating!
I squirm when you make a cut and a gaping hole is the result. Blessings from New Hampshire USA! 👏
Yay another video!!!!
Fantastic video as ever.
I would love to spend a day with you watching you work - it would ve fascinating.
I love watching your videos I love what you for those animals if I were young I would learn from you keep up the good hoof work
