Kids today won't know what it's like to have those foldable god and tech-tree inserts. :) RTS games were always pretty good "back in the day" because you always got extra tech-tree foldouts and booklets in the box that helped you wrap your head around the game's progression systems.
At your town center, there is an icon you can select to make all converted animals move to that town center. Really helpful in the beginning as your scout is on auto pilot and as he finds pigs or sheep you don't have to pull attention away from base.
I'd really enjoy some faction guides that go a bit more into the intricacies and differences of each than the ones found in game. Also something highlighting weaknesses of major gods instead of just strengths.
I love the visual aspect improvements beyond the graphical enhancement. Now, for example, when we upgrade the sphinx we can see its head changed. They should have done the same thing if the norse research the Berserkgang tech with Tyr, making the berserkers a half-bear super warriors, just like the thumbnail shows.
pretty good guide, I just recommend showing us how to do the things you say to do. this is my first game like this and I am confused AF. Beating elden ring on a naked character looks easier than trying to understand this game and how to do things :/
been playing retold as im new and its amazing so far, maxed out the graphics. score was 1680 or something like that. wanted to play as the norse more but am not too familier with their stuff. any who great vid

With your accent and talking so fast i keep having to rewind the video just to be clear on what you're saying. A 16 minute video turned into 45 minutes. Slow down a bit next time please and thank you.
question, I play age of empires 2 here and there with my friends, is age of mythology just age of empires with mythology flavor, or does it have it's own unique gameplay mechanics?
It definitely has its own unique gameplay mechanics. IE, the favor and divine powers, split tech trees for each deity, and heroes. However it is extremely similar to aoe 2 in most facets of gameplay. (like most rts games)
I am so happy they are remaking this game. I played it so much back in the day I even still own a physical copy of the base game.

That Valheim soundtrack threw me off for a second there. Didn’t know what I was watching when I noticed that :D
What a game :D

Yeah Norse are probably not the best faction to start with, because their favor system requires you to be picking fights often and early.

Im from Nordic country, easy choise for me
Thank you so much for this video! It greatly helped. 5/5!
Great Video!
First of all, great video! You have to do something about your mic though. Their are some weird lows in it that really put me off :D
I still own my original double CD, also bought the remastered on steam. Bought this but haven't played yet, very excited.
crazy using valheim background music
How do you split up your army into their specific strengths?
So you can't auto-assign villagers to gather X resources based on what economic profile you choose like in Age of Empires?
I noticed that my troops often stand around when my village is attacked. Is there a tipp here?
Make sure their stance is on aggressive and if they're still stood still, attack move them towards enemies and they should go to work
So is this game closer in likes of aoe 2 remaster or aoe 4? I prefer 2 honestly but I'm on xbox.
Thx your the man

I'm playing as norse, why does my army does not listen to my command? When i try to attack, it goes back to a point where they stood. Please help

Resource wheel button?
We're on XBox and cant find the diplomacy area to request aid. I'm sure we have overlooked it somehow. Do you know how yo access it on console?
Top right of screen. Two hands
Hahn Avenue
What if ai just stay at there base no matter what u pick for difficulty or attack and defend
Ofelia Oval
If you already play age of empires is it worth it to buy this?
Very similar game but with creatures and powers. The campaign is very good too
It’s Xbox game pass release so. Might not HAVE to buy but it’s def worth a play
Talks way too fast, not really helpful to a true beginner
that's why I reduced the playback speed ;)
To .75
I wonder why he is in such an horry. Im not even native english speaker, so that does not help either to follow this breathless speed talking.
Slow down a bit buddy... sounds like you're about to get a heart attack
