Congrats mate. Interesting challenge.
For me I have a balance in both. Hitting 10k steps EVERY single day is hard to complete, but doing 7k seems a much more reasonable steps. Also serves as a way of having some time to myself, nature, or seeing new things. Usually with an intentional 30' walk I'll already hit that target. The other thing is fasting - OMAD just seems too difficult. I'm in my mid 20's so I really value social life - which will often mean grabing beers or having food somewhere. But I still like to do some intermittent fasting by skipping breakfast. Lastly I think working out and strenght training is super important. Cheers
Supplementing with a pinch of salt when starting fasting/omad can help with the mood and weakness issues.
that's a great idea. I'm thinking about doing a version of OMAD again in the new year. I'm doing a new challenge where I wake up at 4am everyday and I get way to hungry to wait till 5pm. When I start up again I will try your tip!
I work two jobs but I’m walking the whole time I easily get 10k to 18k steps daily plus I fast 16 8 and I walk on treadmill on incline for 1 hour so I’m burning calories all day long. The weight is basically falling off so fast
good.
YOU ONLY LOSE 7lbs IN 30 DAYS OF WALKING AND 1 MEAL A DAY? AM I CORRECT?
it depends on what your start weight is, if you are really heavy with a high percentage of bodyfat and low-ish muscle percentage, it will got really fricking fast, if you have somewhat low/normal fat percentage it will go slower, im 191cm tall, weight around 78kg and have a bodyfat percentage of 4.9% while having a fairly high muscle percentage (doing low reps 6 sets weight workout), i have a really hard time shredding more fat, but building muscle is fairly easy as i can monitor what muscle groups i hit and really optimize my workout due to low bodyfat, and walking 10k-20k steps a day while doing omad is a great way to maintain fat to muscle percentage, while keeping my metabolic rate up and increased testosterone from the walking as well as workout and proper food high in protein and healthy fats
