My favorite spot in the US! We did it on motorcycles, you can feel the weather. My friend took that trail to Hidden lake and fell in the snow many times. I passed. Us Floridians are not used to 6,000' elevation. While up there, a "snow arch" collapsed across the Going to the Sun Road and buried it in 15' of snow. We all had to wait until a front end loader shoveled snow off the road to open one lane. Awesome!
I've been on this road during vacations. It was 2 times on a motorcycle and once in a SUV. I will say each time I was in aw. I haven't been there in over 10 years and your video brought back some wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing.

My late sister used to work at the Lake McDonald resort. She always said that Glacier NP was her happy place. Now I see why! Thank you for sharing! Blessings! ❤️💜✝️
Yesterday I was riding my Peloton for a scenic ride, and I couldn’t help but think, “Corey should contract with Peloton to create some epic drone trail rides with all of the cool places Finding Our Someday has been.” If you are unfamiliar with Peloton, the entire ride is shot with a drone. It’s a great option for a bike ride from home, but they are missing out on so many really cool places (like Glacier). On another note- LOVE Glacier! We had plans to go back to East Glacier in July 2020. Unfortunately (and understandably) the Blackfeet Reservation kept the East side of the park closed due to the pandemic. I hope to be back there in the future, but for now, I’m so grateful you guys got to go and I can get my Glacier fix through TH-cam. 😁
That would be a fun video to make! We drove through last year when it was closed you could only drive up the west side. We tried to find parking at Logan pass, but didn’t get lucky like in the video, there was no parking. Glad you come along with us, our next video is from here as well, I hope you enjoy it! See you next Sunday 😃

We drove To the Sun road in September 1979 driving west to east in a 1977 TR7. I can’t remember much of the drive or where we stopped but I vividly remember the drop off as we drove! Glacier park is beautiful, I live about 2 hours from there. I have another little piece of history about The Going to the Sun Road, the opening shot in the movie The Shinning as Jack Nicholson is driving up the mountain to the hotel for his interview was shot on the first part of the road as you head out from ST Marys heading towards West Glacier. There are so many beautiful hikes in Glacier you could literally spend 2 weeks and still not see it all. Awesome video.
LOVE the drone footage with the train and the scenery around it! Thank you for sharing these amazing photos and videos! This place is definitely on our bucketlist of places to see! Dreamed about seeing Montana and you guys captured it beautifully! 🙌🏼🤩😎

Hey guys we have been binge watching your videos and must say we are loving them. We are from Australia and have travelled to the US many times, the last one was at the start of COVID 2020. So everything was closing down, which wasn't that bad as we had bought an RV and spent three months traveling around the north west states. But your video on Glacier NP has been spectacular to watch. As we have been there twice to go up Going To The Sun road but both times it still wasn't open. So to see your videos has been great. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Andrew
@@FindingOurSomeday i thinking instead of trading places if you ever come to Australia we will be your tour guides. :-) Last night we started to watch season 1, yes a bit strange not to start there but Glacier grabbed our attention first. Seeing how you had your first few weeks in the RV learning things brings back memories of our first few weeks in our RV. While they were a bit nerve racking it was a great experience, one we will never forget. We pick up a bus tomorrow to convert into an RV here in Australia so that will be fun. Stay tune for videos on the build :-) should be entertaining to say the lest lol. God bless Andrew
Travel is Sweet I like that idea even better! 🙌And can’t wait to see the buildout! Sounds like a sweet project! Thanks for watching and God bless you and your family as well!
What an awesome job covering this place. Polebridge is a special place. Especially when we sneaked in the back way😎 I need to go check out the Canadian side of Glacier. If the borders are still restricted this summer I might make my west. I've done the sun road twice on a motorcycle. Second time was solo and I got to Glacier at 3am. Nothing open, tented in a ditch, between #89 and Lower St. Mary's Lake. Woke up washed my face in the lake. Packed up and did some chain maintenance at the store, then made my over the sun road. Almost no traffic before 8am👌 I should upload my vid of it. Almost the whole length You guys should check out hwy 212 Beartooth Pass
We’ve done Banff further north in Canada but not Waterton . I bet a Motorcycle is an amazing way to experience GTTSR ! That sounds like you definitely had an adventure! Beartooth has been recommended so many times to us over the past few years, we really need to do it! Thanks for watching through some of the videos and commenting 👊
Moto travel can be grueling😆 and is not for everyone. I wish I discovered it sooner. I do have a vid of beartooth also. My shiternet is to primitive to upload. Fingers crossed my Starlink service shows up soon
There's a couple blind switch backs on the Redlodge side. But we seen plenty of the big diesel pusher rv towing things over it. It can get windy after 10am
We lived in AK until 2000 and it is a shame to see what the warming is doing to the glaciers. When we were there many of them you could walk up to them. I guess all things change. Loved your video just found them, we are going full timing in 2 years and have subscribed.
Awesome job. Keep up the great videos. We truly enjoy seeing all of your adventures. Maybe one day we will be at the same place you are. We would love to introduce ourselves and thank you in person. Take care - stay healthy, and now go wash your hands.
We stopped at the Visitors Center before taking the GthS Road. Should have stopped after. I asked a Ranger if anyone drove off the road. He said "oh yea, we get 5 or 6 a year"
Great video, fantastic photography! Glacier Bible Camp got a great deal having you stay and help along with some AWESOME pictures for their website. Clements Mountain, named for Walter Clements, I wonder if I’m related? Thanks for such an informative video!
I thought you weren’t permitted to fly drones in national parks? Those shots you got were absolutely breathtaking!! What a wonderful experience you and your family are having, traveling the country as your are! Breathtaking scenery and fantastic memories! Kudos to you, Mom and Dad, for making this happen for your girls! Do they realize how lucky they are? 💜👍😀
I think they realize, especially now that they are older. You’re right, no drones in in national parks . The drone shots of the train are from hungry horse well outside the park, maybe your thinking of the google earth shots Created for the Going To The Sun Road? Thank you for the encouragement!
@@FindingOurSomeday I was about the age of your girls when I first went to Glacier. I don’t think I appreciated it then. My husband and I went again 3 years ago. OMG -- I absolutely fell 😍 in love, and old memories came flooding back to me from my first visit. On this latest trip we went to Many Glacier and spent the whole day there. We sat in the lodge and watched grizzly bears and mountain goats up on the mountain. (Using binoculars) and then watched black bears eating berries on the side of that potholed , bumpy road. I was hoping you were going to take the hike around that lake... there is a mother moose (with babies when we were there) and they hang out right there, between the hiking trail and the lake. Glacier is the most magnificent park! Thank you for taking me back to memory lane and making me feel like I am there now! 💔💕💜. Also, have you researched the night of the grizzlies at Glacier? Unbelievable read!
That’s sounds like an amazing experience! We couldn’t find parking when we arrived at many glacier, and we were tired at the point anyway, we had already hiked 8 miles that day. Glacier is definitely a hiking park!
Great photography! So glad to see you didn't come acrossed a bear after seeing the bear sign. Talk about a mountain road. I'm sure there were plenty of people working on that road over the 2 decades. I wonder if the people who maintain that road have family members back in history who worked the road.
Next week's episode we'll share a bear encounter!😳 It would be so interesting to see if there are any family connections there. Thanks as always for watching and taking the time to comment!
Did you get Coffee ☕️? Seriously, great video with epic views & information. Enjoyed the information on the engineering of the road in the rocks too! Thanks
We never did get coffee! We went back into the park the next morning, we made sure to be armed with coffee and donuts that time 😂 we love the history in these places! Thank you !
I would like to order two Fractures one from 13:54 and one from 16:50ish. No really!!!! You need to setup a LL and work with the Fracture Company to sell some of your stills. I have seen so many i would buy. I can't say enough how much i look forward to your videos with the landscapes and educational inputs. I was laughing at your Eskimo in Aviators. I was wondering how long it would take her to dump the parka after you started hiking. Still my favorite TH-cam channel.
I drove GthS from west to east back in 2018 on Labor Day (the road closed for the season the following day) and had a mini-nervous breakdown when I finally pulled into the parking lot at Logan Pass. I'm a very experienced mountain road driver, both on and off-road, but GthS scared the bejeezus out of me. My companion in the front passenger seat (a Floridian) was even a little nervous, but more about me than the 4k drop 12" from his side window. Granted, I am more than a bit acrophobic and it's grown worse as I've gotten older, but I was in no way expecting what we found. I'll drive GthS again, I'm sure, but only east to west.
What is the coolest road you have ever been on? We need to add some to our scenic drive list!😃

I’m pretty fortunate to be able to do this with my family, I don’t take it for granted, thank you 🙏
Apparently there’s a “ticket system”. Make sure to check the website.
I love Glacier!! When we stood on the overlook deck we saw a HUGE grizzly and another bear over by St Mary's. Thank you for taking us with you. ❤
Definitely a park to add to my must see list.
A thumbs up 👍
Definitely a must see! And thanks for the thumbs up!

Just Beautiful thank you for sharing Your journey with us. I am moving to Montana soon and this is going to be on my to do list. Blessings to your family 💕
You’re welcome! Such a beautiful state, enjoy it😃 thank you and Bless you too!
I went on the Red Bus for 8 hours, it was the best money I spent all year.
We have heard from many that it is a great tour!
I appreciate the idea myself. As I cannot hike very far anymore.
What a beautiful place...nice vid
Thank you, glacier is magic 😃
Love your content. The videography and audio are always exceptional.
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback! Have a great week 👊
Amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us! I’m a big fan of you guys!
You’re welcome, you’re the best! thanks for writing this!

Once again very beautiful.
Really appreciate you saying so!
Once again....fantastic photography!

It isn't fair. Everyone needs coffee and donuts 🤣🤣🤣
Right !?😂 “let them eat cake”
Been there done that...Beautiful....
Beautiful! I’m glad I found your channel!
Thank you ! That’s awesome, stoked to hear you are enjoying them! That just means you have to come back, let’s trade places one year😂
@@FindingOurSomeday i thinking instead of trading places if you ever come to Australia we will be your tour guides.
I just love watching y'all's videos!
Glad we can share with you😃
what a wonderful video, thank you it was a joy to see!!
Can't wait for the review of the trail into Avalanche Lake🤭
Trying to get that hike down to a manageable size as I type this😳
😆
I think there is a trail around the top as well.
@@KLRmurdercycle that would be sweet!
Almost the whole length
You guys should check out hwy 212 Beartooth Pass
Awesome...you guys helping the camp!!!
Thank you! We like to help out whenever we can 😃
I love watching your videos. Glacier Park is fantastic and I hope to get there someday.
Thank you! I hope you can get there soon!
Absolutely stunning!
Thank you, have a great night!
This is another place I want to see! Love your vids!
Wow!!! Stunning beauty!
Such an incredible place!
We love to photography at the end. Ever thought of making a book of all the photos along your journey?
Thank you 🙏 I probably will eventually make a book.
Beautiful!! Thank you. Blessings
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment!😃
Pat on the back Corey, another awesome video. : - )
Thank you sir 👊
Thank you for another great video.
You’re welcome!
The key is,,,to stop often, and keep your eyes on the road. Beautiful place.
Eyes on the road😳🙈 yup you definitely want to pay attention on this road 😂
That is right. You definitely have to be on the “watch” if you want to see the wildlife. They are always there; you just have to look for them!
Such a cool vlog guys. The drone shots were just stunning. Such a beautiful place just amazing. Ooh coffee and donuts sounds great 😍😍. ❤🇬🇧
Really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment! We always have coffee and donuts for sunrise mornings but this time we really messed up!😬
Evening guys. The Mrs and I just love the adventures you and your whole family are living. We hope to be able to do that soon. Stay safe 🤙🏽
Really appreciate you taking the time to watch. We're glad you are with us on our journey. Hope to see you out here someday!
Great!!!!
Loving all your great footage of the west side of the country. I’m making my bucket list:)
There is so much out West! Excited to share more to lengthen your list!
He said "oh yea, we get 5 or 6 a year"
Oh wow, 5 or 6😳 yup definitely should have learned that after 😂
We were there about 15 years ago! We exited out the west entrance back to Missoula and it was a beautiful drive!
It’s time for a revisit then, the mountains are bigger 😉😂
Beautiful. Thank you
You’re welcome, glad you enjoyed it, thank you 🙏
Thank you guys. I have been to most of the major parks working in them never Glacier
The temperatures are the main issues with fixing the roads
Love your video shots so good. Also very fun you volunteered at the Bible camp, that is great. Really enjoy following your adventures.
Thank you for the kind words! Very good people at the Bible camp !
Great video, fantastic photography! Glacier Bible Camp got a great deal having you stay and help along with some AWESOME pictures for their website. Clements Mountain, named for Walter Clements, I wonder if I’m related? Thanks for such an informative video!
Thank you! They are good people over there at the camp, we were glad to help😃 actually, its probably named after you😳😃
Stupendous photography!
Thank you 👊
Awesome job with the video! Glacier is a beautiful park.
Appreciate it! It is an awesome park! The challenge is doing it justice😃 have a great night!
@@FindingOurSomeday Have fun, and y'all stay safe.
@@sandyoklahomatransient8557 thanks!
Wonderful Vlog. Most of yours are great but this one was special.
Very kind of you to say, thank you! I’m excited to share next episode 😃
My cousin & I drove from Denver down to Durango on 550. Crazy ride! But beautiful. Wolf Creek Pass was a bit of a challenge. 😁
Great video!
We haven’t even been to Colorado yet! We hope to rectify that this year!
Damn, this was amazing. Simply amazing 😳 thank you for sharing this
Glad you thought so!😊
I drove GthS from west to east back in 2018 on Labor Day (the road closed for the season the following day) and had a mini-nervous breakdown when I finally pulled into the parking lot at Logan Pass.
At least you did it 💪 east to west is much better for the heart😃
