    || THIS EPISODE || We finally made it to a National Park that we have been wanting to see for years: Bryce Canyon. Before even getting into the National Park, we drove into Red Canyon and got settled in our incredible campground, Red Rock Campground. This is a National Forest campground that was first come, first serve and nestled right in the red rocks and hoodoos of the canyon.
    We headed to the Visitor Center to get some advice on the best hikes in the park and then drove to Inspiration Point where we walked up to get our first glimpse of Bryce. There are few places on our journey so far that have literally left us breathless and this was one of them. The color of the canyon and hoodoos and the storm clouds and rainbow in the distance left us speechless. It was everything and more than we expected.
    The next morning, we were up early for sunrise with coffee and donuts, of course, and watched the sun come up turning the the canyon into a firey ravine. We headed to Wall Street to hike Navajo Trail and then met up with Queen’s Garden Trail to see the hoodoo shaped like Queen Victoria. This was one of our very favorite hikes to date. Once again, we were left speechless.
    We wrapped up the evening with dinner over the fire after Corey and Lily went to check out the hiking near our campground.
    Stay tuned for the next episode where we head up to a mountain top campground in Idyllwild, California! Be sure to like and subscribe and click on the bell icon for notifications when we release new videos!

    Bryce Canyon is my favorite national park! So beautiful and unusual! When you hike down into it, you feel all alone until you go around the next corner and find a group. I remember when you mentioned y'all were about a year behind on posting video's. I think it was a blessing in disguise. It is refreshing to see new video's of what it was like before Covid-19. No mask, No Social Distancing, etc. Many youtube channels have had to resort to talking etc. because of the closures but y'all have not had to do that. It is so refreshing to watch. Hope your crew is doing well and staying safe.

      We are well, thank you 🙏 this is very good to read, very encouraging. We want these videos to show the whole journey, that’s our main goal. It is a worry that creeps in that people will give us a hard time that we are so far behind. So again thank you for this comment. With that being said we will be caught up to a reasonable time period this fall. We will definitely be in 21 in 21 this year 😂 hope to see you next week!

    We have a lot in common, two girls, same truck and traveled to Bryce, Yellowstone and Glacier in our trailer. Watching your family was almost the same experience we had at Bryce....WOW!!! We loved staying at the Ruby's Inn campground and pulled did some smoking on our Davey Crockett smoker (use a battery jumper box to run it all day long on 12volts). The federal campground you stayed at looked awesome and more private, but we had full hookups and Wifi and everything you need (including pizza) was nearby. Love to watch your journeys. Thanks for sharing your beautiful family and awesome cinematography.

    So glad you enjoyed one of my 'backyard' parks. It is always great to see the first time visitor's reaction. Red canyon has a treasure trove of trails...not nearly as busy as Bryce. And yes the stars are unreal here. I forget that others don't see the stars like we do. I loved the, "it wasn't suppose to rain" comment. Haha welcome to Southern Utah. Cedar breaks also is a mini Bryce in the making, if you haven't stopped by there to see. The local natives are (Pi-utes) that a in the names throws people off. Wonderful video and you all look great in the park :)

    This video is awesome. I live in Utah and have visited bryce canyon many times and it never gets old. If you like the hoodoos, you will need to check out goblin valley in Utah. Its another place that is out of this world and makes a great place to play hide and seek. The senic drive on highway 12 is spectacular. If you drive it from Torrey Utah to Bryce canyon it is one of the most unique drives ever. Keep up the great videos.

    I love the fact you guys do donuts and coffee on the early morning hikes. We do the same every Sunday morning when we are on the move. Great video as always. On a side note, my buddy just did his mirrors (same truck as yours) and it was kind of involved. Once he got the right parts everything went smooth.

    • @FindingOurSomeday
      @FindingOurSomeday  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Traditions make life better, especially if it involves donuts😃 the mirror swap is much easier now vs when I first got the truck. I really should swap them at this point, I’m just used to it now🤷‍♂️ what mirrors did your buddy end up with GM factory or another brand ?

    • @DavidBrown-jt7yi
      @DavidBrown-jt7yi 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@FindingOurSomeday He went with a GM brand mirror but I think he messed up and got the year prior mirrors. They work really good for him so he doesn't mind. When he first put them in he had a check engine light come on and he got a little worried, plus is remote start stopped working. He did a little research and he just needed an new module of some kind. Everything is fixed and running good now. You guys make great videos. I subscribe to 5 RV channels and you guys are at the top of the list. Hope you have a great 2021.

    • @FindingOurSomeday
      @FindingOurSomeday  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DavidBrown-jt7yi that’s a huge compliment, thank you! The check engine light was probably a missing temp sensor that’s in the diesels , and the remote start stops working if you have a check engine by default. Glad to hear it’s all sorted out! We will be in our hometown later this year, maybe I will tackle the mirrors then😃

    This video compelled me to finally pull the trigger to start our "Someday". No more waiting for everything to line up perfectly. You just have to make it happen whatever way you can so I did. Our trip to Bryce Canyon is in 3 weeks! Our "Someday" may not be what I'd imagined, in time it will, but until then if we can only grab a week here and there so be it. Thanks again for the inspiration!

The taste is way different than it used to be. That is so funny to say hoo doos. Then you saw poo. Some poo in the hoo doos. That’s hilarious to say.

    So I have not made it to Bryce yet with my little man, but it's on things to do this summer. As for places, if you all going to Grand Canyon I would say go to Williams Arizona to stay. We stay at the KOA circle pines. It's a 45 minute drive to entrance to Grand Canyon. Williams is cool little town with charm. They also have Bearaizona, which is about 10 minute drive from camp. Amazing drive thru zone where bears come right to your vehicle. Just throwing out idea, we enjoy it there and have made it a yearly visit now to meet our friends as well.

    Ohhhh I must see Bryce Canyon in person! Your photos are amazing, thanks.

  • @LeoCloutier
    @LeoCloutier 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Corey, here’s my theory. Clearly Bryce is astounding, so I’ll stipulate that up front. But in the discussion of most beautiful park based on your total episode canon so far, I still have to go with Yosemite. But here’s the thing - you’ve seen and experienced these places in person, so you have a third dimension bias when you consider them that we (I) don’t have. I can only go by the actual videos. So in a vacuum without experience, it’s Yosemite, followed by either Glacier or Teton. Experientially, for you it’s Bryce.
    But if aliens are hacking into old TH-cam signals in another galaxy a thousand years from now and see old FOS videos, they’re going to agree with ME - Yosemite in a landslide.
    But for the record, it was worth the wait. Great episode.

    • @FindingOurSomeday
      @FindingOurSomeday  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Here’s the thing. I knew going into Yosemite how epic it is, my expectations were there already. We didn’t research Bryce or even really ever hear about , it was a total shock, a gift. It set the mood just right, and the better your mood is the more open you are to fully take in an experience. So for us Bryce is amazing, everything just clicked there for us. Like I said we had no knowledge of Bryce, we walked up to the canyon for the first time with beautiful light and rainstorm with a rainbow coming out of it off in the distance .

    • @LeoCloutier
      @LeoCloutier 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I (and the aliens) concede the point. LOL. Hoodoos for the win.
