We are back with the Evan's household today. We start on the interior by furnishing the living room, kitchen, dining room, hallway and Fer's workshop, I'll be back next week with more!

✋ Sims 4 curtains are the bane of my existence!
Sims curtains in general tend to look weird. Maybe because they look so airy irl but in-game they look hard and stiff..!
I could just imagine they buy some crappy abandoned piece of property somewhere that no one else wanted and just turn it right around into the most delightfully colorful bit of loveliness. They just seem like the kind of people that would see the potential in that sort of lot.

just a thought but instead of a speed build i'd love to see the return of "design me devon" and u could renovate an abandoned country farmhouse for them

I love how eclectic and bohemian it looks, especially since the cottage itself is so neutral. It really makes the colors pop!
I have suffered emotional trauma from the window coverings in Sims 4. Seriously. I feel your pain.
Whenever I see those curtain from the High School pack I remember you said they look like your sister old prom dress and it crack me up every time 😂

I can totally see fern being into knitting/crocheting and she sources all her yarn organically (no synthetic materials/dyes) and sustainably by purchasing from local sheep farmers. When her family finally moves to their dream homestead, I can see her buying a couple sheep to harvest her own wool that she then dyes herself with her own organic recipes (using plants from their garden/farm)
Ex: Blackberries for purple, Elderberries- blue, Raspberries & Cherries- softer reds/pinks, Carrots- orange, coffee grinds (bought organically) for brown, sage, spinach, snapdragon, grass, or chamomile for green, and etc.)
I can see her being a huge supporter of, not only organically & sustainably sourced products/materials, but also locally sourced. So because of this she still purchases wool from local farmers mostly so she can get different base shades to mix with her own sheep's wool shades for more variations in color when she dyes it.

As a parent, having the sofa with a space behind it would be an ideal spot to throw toys into when the kids are in bed. That deco baby bath full of toys maybe?
I'd love to see you build their house and I'm looking forward to it! Their current house looks very cozy 🥰
Love how it came out! I feel like a table behind the couch with crystals and plants would look nice and fill it a little more.
As a mum of four, I love and appreciate the way you've scattered the children's clutter around the home. I had a friend that was horrified at the state of mess my house could get into as she was a neat freak. Until she had her own baby. It was like that episode of Ab Fab with Edina when her once minimalist friend visited with her new baby. Keep up the fabulous work Aden, love your content!!

Lovely video as always! I would suggest to add the crystal charging thingy in the backyard, I think it will be nice for her to be able to charge the crystals and use them, they also sell for higher when charged 😄

To be fair, almost every house I've lived in has the dishwasher and oven in positions that you can't have them open at the same time so it's not entirely unrealistic. I think the thought is there are few reasons for them both to be opened simultaneously anyways. So, you could put them wherever you damn well please!
Just started the video, but I want to say that I'd love to see some of the furniture from this cottage carried through to the dream homestead! It would be great to see them keep things from their travels
(Also, I once rage-quit a build because of curtains, and I've never been back)
I absolutely love your terrace builds, they remind me of my childhood home and our conjoined street garden💘. I'd love it if one day you could do a Victorian terrace that's a little bit more Northern-inspired (I'm thinking 70s lime-green carpeted bathrooms, floral wallpaper and the dreaded closet bedroom haha)💘

Fantastic video Aden, and loving how the build is turning out. Only thing that's bothered me was the shed roof, particularly at the back end facing into Rose's garden at 0:53. Trivial, yes, but I would suggest shrinking the roof's length by a tile, copying a tile-long roof and recolouring it to match the wall. Otherwise, beautiful! ❤️

I love all the rentals but this one is super lovely. Maybe it's because I'm like solely a family gameplayer in the sims but this build seems so alive so far. With the clutter especially in the super cute kitchen, it literally reminds you of childhood(or even on TV shows) where you would have a bunch of drawings/school calendars on your fridge! I think I'd be cool if you could do that Aden, just to add a bit more character and charm to the build. Have sage(I think his name was) make a bunch of drawings, maybe size some down so it looks like clover drew them and put them on the fridge? I personally forgot how to do that💀😭but I know for sure there's a hack or whatever the word is to do that and still have a functioning fridge. Obvs just a suggestion, but I think that'd add more to the house!

Hey, I hear what you’re saying about the curtains! I think for me the abuse comes when the curtains I want hardly ever fit the windows i’ve chosen well and thus I feel like i’m being limited into using the same windows/curtains

✋ I have felt personally victimized by Sims 4 curtains. The textures, how far from the wall they are, the snapping... totally attacked.
She’s beautiful! But I think a leaning mirror with a kid would probably be a no no.
Also I’ve noticed that Sims don’t have draining boards and now I’ll never be able to unnotice it 😢

I could imagin them building the home out of repurposed material and they would make sure it's echo friendly as well as vanishes into the surroundings. One of those off the Grand design programs. Maybe using old shipping containers. Im not sure if they would keep animals as it would go against their beleifs but I could imagine rescue cats or a dog. like a border collie old herding dog.

I imagined that people in the town knew about her little workshop, and all her jewelry and crystals. And then someone saw her through the window in her shed, working on her stuff. They asked her about it, and if she would want to sell her stuff. And then her little window in the shed turned out to be a place where people actually come by and buy/look at her jewelry. So it wasn’t something she Originally sold to people, but it happened after they moved into the village. And the landlord keeps bugging her about it, and demands that because she is selling on his property, he should get part of the income. Another way for the landlord to a an a**hole😂

maybe they cant decorate as it is a listed building as the origonal owner of the bakery you are going to build used to live there and was well known throughout the sims universe for his pork pies and simfluencers come to take their pictures outside their home eating his pork pies that they still bake 🥰

Perhaps this family could buy a piece of land and build their own eco-home and Permaculture farm from scratch, all with sustainable materials, etc.

I also dont understand sims curtains, blinds, window coverings in general are a laughing stock.
I, too, have suffered microaggressions at the hands of Sims curtains.
