Sensational video mate, good to see you finally made it onto a Qatar flight. Re long haul 12-13 hours is just a standard hop for us Aussies. It doesn't become ultra long haul until it's 14 hours plus.
I was an aircraft mechanic in the USAF. During Desert Storm I spent 13 plus hours on a C141B cargo aircraft. Now that was a loooong flight. No in-flight entertainment. And stale box lunches. Thats why I enjoy your videos. Thank you.
I flew on the Qsuite from Houston to Doha in November when I went to the Maldives and I loved every second of it. They held the plane for almost 15 minutes in Houston for me because my flight from Orlando to Houston with United was 4 hours late. The flight attendants were beyond friendly and hospitable. We asked for extra Castello Monte Vibiano face spray that came with the amenities kit and the crew gave us multiple bottles lol. My friend and I clearly didn't belong in business class but the flight crew had so much fun with us. They treated everyone like royalty. Qatar Airways is amazing.
Jef, congratulations to the couple. To whoever enjoys geography, Google Maps and etc. 8:11 City of Arish and El Resa Beach. 8:48 City of Eliat, Israel and the right side, part of Aqaba, Jordan. 9:07 King Fahad Industrial Center and the city of Jubail - Saudi Arabia. 10:09 Al Daayen, Qatar 10:24 The Pearl Qatar Jef, you almost killed me 😂 😂 😂. You show the airplane “heading” to Nairobi and show after, these images. I got crazy, as I travel a lot and love to watch a map. I realized later, you use the images from tyour first leg (USA to Doha) to speak over and explain how was service. It took me, more than a hour to run the Google Maps. Of course, I ran the whole Somalia, Yemen, Oman, Eritrea and etc. Keep the good work.
I love how Jeb keeps it honest with service reviews, 50 business class seats is a stretch for perfect service and he acknowledges that fact. Well done Jeb!
I flew IAD-DOH-JNB in July in business class and it was spectacular. From the moment I stepped on the plane, I was treated like a king. The flight attendants greated me by name and thanked me for flying with them. The most memorable part was stepping off the plane and the real feel temperature was 112°. DOH is a stunning airport and the lounges were just as great.
Congratulations Suzanne and Jeb, your channel made me an aviation enthusiast and I am about to finish my 3 months long trip flying thousands of miles , I wish you two the best
As someone who has flown only 5 times, and only once in the last 13 years, idk how people can afford to fly this much especially business class where the “lounge” is part of the score. Just another world I guess. Great videos
My definitions: Regional: 1-2hrs Short Haul: 2.5-4hrs Medium Haul: 4.5-7.5hrs Long Haul: 8-13hrs Ultra Long Haul: 13.5hrs + When you do frequent EU to AU trips 12hrs is a breeze
This was truly fantastic and i m 100% honest. In addition you’re really super honest unlike some other reviewers!! I was so impatient to see the qatar airways video. I would say 7-11 hrs for a long haul and 12-19 for ultra
As someone who's flown back and forth between Japan and the Eastern US many times over the years, I've never thought of those trips as "ultra long haul," just normal!
I like that you are able to present all the details of this flight in about 12+ minutes rather than lagging it out to 20+. However sometimes 20min of Jeb Brooks content wouldn’t be too bad
Congrats again on your wedding! For me an ULH is > 14 hours. I envy flights on the A350s. The best part about QR’s business class: they are not always as expensive as the competition.
Dear Jeb: with Suzzane by your side there isn't any Long-haul flight or long-haul anything. She is simply amazing and she looked super cute in her new pajamas. You are the luckiest man on earth; with her by your side you can go to the end of the earth and it will never feel long enough. You'll see after a lifetime with her it will feel like it was just a blink of an eye. Enjoy every second with her to the very fullest. May G_d bless you both
Flew from Doha to Los Angeles on Qatar. Flight time 16 hrs. 15 mins. The polar route, flying over the North Pole. Flew in QSuite. Quite an experience. Will never forget. Great service, delicious food.
I taught ESL in South Korea for 2 years and flew from Atlanta to Seoul. That’s a long one, between 13 and 15 hours. But I flew Korean Air and they know how to take care of passengers. And with the awesome IFE the flights were very relaxing.
Just did 4 legs recently - 3 in QSuite - and all on different aircraft...would have been something for you...started on a Dreamliner which was already a very good treat and continued on a 777. My shortest ever 777 flight with only 38min from Doha to Dubai. As this leg was branded as First Class for whatever reason we were entitled to visit the First Class Lounge in Doha sipping 160€ a bottle champagne, very lavish. So far the best lounge I visited. On our flight back we had an A350-1000 back to Doha and an A350-900 to Frankfurt before finally continuing to Vienna, my home town.
Qatar business, was a joy from beginning to end, when l flew with them from Jakarta to London. Hoping to do them again very soon when/if the world rights itself. Stay safe and enjoy your special time with the wife. Congratulations
Dulles is my go-to airport if I'm flying into the US and I'm happy they start flights to Lagos on the 29th this month. I'm in Canada but will be cheering them on from here!!!
3 things....first. love the channel as an aviation geek myself. Second, I'd say anything over 10 hours us ultra long haul. I'd put 5-10 hours as 'long haul.' Third..... I'm super excited to be flying Qsuites on the A350-1000 from Dallas to Doha next year. Just bought the ticket with a combination of Avios and just a little cash. Jackpot! Congratulations to you both.
Africa is a beautiful continent with over 1.2 billion people & 1100 dialects and a few million years of human history. Glad you chose the motherland....although most Westerners choose the same countries
Congratulations on getting married! Just flew Qsuite myself from LHR. Fun fact; the wireless card reader is for the Qatar oryx phone app where you can select movies and then use the reader as its NFC enabled, to upload it to the IFE. Couldn’t get it to work when using my iPhone 11!
I like it when you and your wife(yes finally I can say it) are traveling together. It brings something special to the tripreport. For me short flights are below 3h. Mid-range 3-6.5h. Long-haul 6.5 till 9.5 and everything above that is extra long-haul, of which I try to cut in half with a stop-over.
I had the pleasure of Qatar Airways a couple of years ago from Edinburgh to Sydney in “normal” class on a Airbus 900…I think. The seats were comfortable with very reasonable leg room. (I’m 6ft 2in tall). The food and service to Doha was excellent with efficient and friendly crew. The second leg to Sydney was on a A380 in standard class. It was a very full flight. The leg room was quite tight but again the service and entertainment system provided plenty of distractions. The crew were excellent all through the various service times, chatty and friendly and always willing to help. We hope to try Qsuite in the next year or so, but it’s impossible to criticise the crew on any of our flights, they were amazing! Last of all I wish you two a happy time on your travels, ,and perhaps you can Mr Bunnik in Australia sometime. Happy travels.
Continually voted the #1 airline in the world for a reason. Qatar business is the best! If they don’t own the lounge it shouldn’t be part of the rating. Their lounge in Doha is off the hook!
Have only joined /subscribed in the last couple of weeks- really enjoyed video and enthusiasm as well as objective and “unbiased” opinion. Re. First class being a smaller cabin, many years ago my wife and I flew Air France first class to Toronto. Only 1 row of First Class on an A340 and we were the only passengers; in my wife’s eyes made even better as a fellow passenger on the connecting flight from Manchester to Paris had apparently “looked down” on my wife only to be on the same onward flight but “only” in Business so had to walk past and beyond the curtain ! Other story was the chief pursar knew I was a gold card member and guessed my wife and I were on an airmiles holiday (he was right !) so we had a younger, less experienced cabin steward serving which was great. My wife doesn’t drink on flights and the steward was desperate to open a bottle of Dom Perignon just me !
Congratulations to the Happy Couple, and many, many years of happiness. I'm a QR frequent flyer. Very much appreciate your review. Have taken that flight, but mainly ORD-DOH, and lots in the region. It is indeed a five-star airline, and a pleasure to fly. I entirely agree about IFE. Have flown QR for eight years now and i cannot find movies, albums, TV shows twice. QR IFE needs a table of contents or -- as you say -- a robust search function. I have a food allergy, they bend over backwards to accommodate all manner of dietary restrictions, while also serving extraordinarily tasty airline food. And -- they keep my allergy info on file, so they know what i'll be ordering. Very thoughtful. The cabin people are exceptional. They always make or break an airline. These folks -- men and women, from every point on the compass -- work hard and remain cheerful. I tip my hat. Finally, a BIG SHOUT OUT to the ORD counter crew. It's a growing station, but they get us on and out like consummate professionals. As the folks who set the tone for a trip -- especially a long trip -- counter people are frequently overlooked. I try to engage them and recognize their role in getting me wherever i need to go. QR's blend pleasantness and efficiency. I wish U.S. carries would learn. W QR i've gone to Paris, Madrid, London, Kiev, Jeddah, Riyadh, Kuwait City, Amman, Istanbul (old and new), Muscat, Delhi, Mumbai, Hong Kong and of course Dubai. Chicago, Philadelphia and DC in U.S. The uniform high quality throughout the system -- both on ground and in air, is itself a wonder. BIG LESSON for AA, or even UA, should they choose to improve. Thanks again, and all the best on beginning your lives together.
Another great video. I recently came across your channel and have been working my way backwards. Congratulations on getting married! And I have to say, you have one hell of a watch collection. As a fellow enthusiast myself, the variety you have is amazing.
To charge for WiFi on a $4000+ seat seems petty.... And, I agree anything 12 hours or more would be ultra-long haul. Normal 8-9 hour flights to Europe seem routine. Great video! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Jeb and Suzanne first congratulations 🎉🍾🎊 for your marriage. I loved your Q-Suits review on board of QATAR Airways Airbus A350-1000, it’s really impressive to enjoy such a experience. Looking forward for more. Cheers
thank you for sharing. it's a great journey I'm sure. I flew Singapore Airlines from Singapore to Newark two years ago. It was the world's longest flight at the time. It's 17+ hours. I'd say that 14+ hours shall be ultra long. By the way, congrats to both of you.
Congratulations!!! Blessings on your union and Honeymoon. What ab amazing way to celebrate. Thank you for sharing. I think ultra long haul is 12 hours or longer. The longest I've flown is 15 hours and 7 mns from JFK to CAN on a B777-300ER.
congratulations to you both on the life commitment. As an Aussie, just about everywhere offshore is long haul, and however long it takes is just that. You get used to it, but need to have the right mental state and take things as they happen. Have done many long haul flights. Most common would be MEL-LAX with the connection to JFK pushing 24 hrs (I include getting through US immigration as part of "long haul" ) Melbourne to Europe (LHR, CDG, FRA, HEL, ZRH, VIE) is typically 20+ flight hours plus a couple of hours (if you are lucky) in SIN / BKK / HKG / DXB / DOH / AUH along the way. Longest direct flights were Sydney - Dallas Fort Worth (A380 economy, 17.5 hours) and Perth - London (B787 business, 18 hours) both on Qantas and it was OK.
14.5 hours Doha to DFW back in April 2020 Qatar a350 1000 bus class … smooth flying .. soundless engine …amazing service on board… no cons to say about Qatar airlines..
Ultra-Long haul flights are at least 13 hrs and 30 mins. I still remember when I flew from Dubai to Dulles in 2015 before they introduced the A380 to the capital. It took us 14hrs and 56 mins and although long, it was a very interesting flight on the 777-300ER
Superb report, Jeb and Suzanne and congratulations on your nuptials. I always enjoy your delivery, calm voice and smooth transition flow from one sentence to the next. "The windows offered nice privacy during the night". Who were you expecting to be peeping in at you from the wing at 41,000 feet? William Shatner? - Look it up. The pointless gimmick doors don't seem to be powered as on some airlines. Not that private as people could grab a sneaky glance at you as they walk past.
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO, ON THE MARRIAGE! Love This Video On The A350 By Qatar! I've Never Heard Any Complaints About Qatar! Fabulous Aircraft, Fabulous Service! I'll Check Out Your Other Videos On Your Honeymoon Travel! Again...Congratulations! Many Long Years Of Love And Life!😉💖🥂✈
I flew on Qatar Q Suite in September 2021 and it was my very first business class experience as well. I upgraded my seats to Business and man oh man, it was worth every penny. Im someone who loves yo stretch my legs and like some privacy as well. When i flew i completely forgot there were other passengers on the flight. I didnt use the IFE as much because i downloaded stuff on my netflix offline already. Since i upgraded, i wasnt allowed for free lounge access. I plan to fly again in April 2022 and I definitely will fly Q suite again and need to enjoy the full experience
I flew with Qatar on the A350 in their Q-Suite just before the Covid outbreak. If you are newly married, or just a couple, on a long distance flight, take the middle seats, as you can remove the divider between the seats and turn them into a double bed. Nothing better than cuddling with your love one in comfort on a long flight.
Qatar is my favorite airline. They are world class. The Al Mourjan Business Class lounge in DOH is fantastic. I have flown them twice. Once from BPN-DOH, and DOH-LAX. Have not flown their Qsuite yet.
You and Suzanne are so engaging and fun while also giving a terrific flight review. Or train review! Congrats on the wedding to an ultra cool couple. We do not see many like y’all!
As always, splendid video, Jeb! The credit card/NFC reader facilitates seamless transfer of pre-selected entertainment playlists from one's smartphone (QR's app) to the Qsuite. If you're searching for another ultra-long-haul flight, consider DOH to DFW, which lasts just shy of 17 blissful hours 😆
First, congratulations! To answer your question, I’ve flown on two ultra long haul, Manila to NY (16 hrs) and Doha with Qatar Qsuites to Sfo (15 hrs). Qsuites was still the best for business.
regonial: 1-2 hrs
short haul: 2-3.5 hrs
Medium haul: 3.5-6 hrs
long haul: 6-13 hrs

Ultra long haul is i think 15+ hours
@@ElectricGalaxy agreed that is the only edit i would make
But it has to be that time between the city pairs both ways.
regional? Only if you live in a HUGE country
Agreed. Anything over 12-13 hours is ultra-long. LAX-SYD is a doozy if you're not ready for it.
Sensational video mate, good to see you finally made it onto a Qatar flight. Re long haul 12-13 hours is just a standard hop for us Aussies. It doesn't become ultra long haul until it's 14 hours plus.
Thanks, Dennis. No doubt Australians have a whole different perspective on long haul flying!

Melbourne to Europe (LHR, CDG, FRA, HEL, ZRH, VIE) is typically 20+ flight hours plus a couple of hours (if you are lucky) in SIN / BKK / HKG / DXB / DOH / AUH along the way.
Longest direct flights were Sydney - Dallas Fort Worth (A380 economy, 17.5 hours) and Perth - London (B787 business, 18 hours) both on Qantas and it was OK.
Great video mate! The wife (who is from Seychelles) is keen to see that part of the trip!
Love your travel video thru Qatar airways. Hope I can try soon flying to Doha . From Texas
YES! Finally! I have been waiting for this for about a year! Thanks for this! Congratulations!
14.5 hours Doha to DFW back in April 2020 Qatar a350 1000 bus class … smooth flying .. soundless engine …amazing service on board… no cons to say about Qatar airlines..
"Tired from our wedding weekend..." hahahhaa Jeb, that made me giggle ;)
I was on this flight ✈️ in may this year, the best airline ever .
Ultra-Long haul flights are at least 13 hrs and 30 mins. I still remember when I flew from Dubai to Dulles in 2015 before they introduced the A380 to the capital. It took us 14hrs and 56 mins and although long, it was a very interesting flight on the 777-300ER
Congratulations to you both! Safe travels.
Congratulations on the marriage! Love the videos, as always!
Many Long Years Of Love And Life!😉💖🥂✈
You’ve been posting a lot of interesting content lately! Love it! and I like the music you put in ur videos too!
Love your channel!!!
Qatar is my favorite airline. They are world class. The Al Mourjan Business Class lounge in DOH is fantastic. I have flown them twice. Once from BPN-DOH, and DOH-LAX. Have not flown their Qsuite yet.
Well I’m about to do 2 fourteen hour flights with Qatar. Now that’s what I call ultra long haul.
Great video!
Congrats to u two
Congratulations you two! That's so great!!!!
