heads up on the Mig27K. if you set up "sight stabilisation" keybind and "enable" this keybind over a target, it will automatically lock and lase the target so you can track moving targets without manual moving the sight so long as acquisition is not broken by either trees, buildings or gimbal limits.
You can alternatively use the ''Activate target point'' and it will track the target in a box just like sight stabilization.

@@isleofthecheetah The only difference is, when using the target bombing point you can only "activate or deactivate" the lock. with sight stabilisation (just like with the KA50) you can keep the lock but by selecting sight stabilisation again you get a circle "aiming point" which allows you to still manually move the sight but still keeping a secondary lock on the target so you can in essence "lock someone" and decide to manually aim the weapon system for potentially an "AoE" if its let say a KAB 500L bomb that you didnt want to land directly on someone be around them because 2 other vehicles were next to them. basically gives you more freedom on how to aim the weapon if you wanted to do finer adjustments in flight :)

You do realize that Phly is the same guy who for YEARS still doesn't know that the minimap lights up RED when you are marked on their spawn radar. He still guesses when he's marked. It's not like he's been playing FOR TEN YEARS. Seriously sometimes I think he's a little special lol.

I know this will probably get lost in the comment section, but i found a great combo, the sturmpanzer and he 112 a-0, but use ap belts, and with 37mm of pen you can get through most vehicles roofs, it also great because theres not much anti air, because its at 1.7, so yeah

Yeah, cross-map sniping needs to go away. Passive gameplay in any form is bad, no matter what game you're playing.
Having a sniper location that's only accessable by driving up a no cover/concealment path is fine, in my opinion

I think the best "system" is still the P.108, just cause it's got a freaking 102mm cannon... but I suppose this one is more practical
Ki-102 or whatever got a dead accurate large caliber gun. Kan snipe planes on 1km straight up and stuff. Completely nuts considering you are aiming for a hit with a single round.
@@MatsNorway I've gotten a 2.5km plane kill with it and the P108. But the Ki is vastly better, it actually performs really well, while the P108 is a brick. Every other large cannon aircraft I've played flys better than the 108 and is more accurate. But the Ki is stunning with just how maneuverable it is for something that massive.

Day 179: Phly, you should play the Hawk III Chinese fighter; 900lbs of bombs in a biplane at 1.0 that you can dogfight in after dropping. Totally balanced.
It’s funny to me how few people actually play the Hawk 3 at 1.0

Hi phly, if you want to do some low BR tomfoolery I've got a great discovery. The British premium vehicle Avenger Mk II has a br of 1,7 and Rank 2. The Avenger has two 12,7 mm machine guns and a ammo count of 620. But here's the kicker. YOU GET BOMBER AIR SPAWN. So you can be one of the most effective bomber hunters since you spawn at their altitude. And since it's Rank 2 you're going to harass the ph*** out of FW 200. And because you have so much potential energy from the air spawn, the Avenger becomes a not-so-bad dogfighter. (+ It has tail coverage from a ball turret and another tail mounted turret.)
And even better, for some reason (probably because it's a "bomber") you get a shit tone of RP and SL for kills. Making it a pretty good farming vehicle

Hey Phil. The jaguar A with the 2 AS nord 30L are my favorite guided missiles. Yes, you only have 2, but the designator is on the bottom of the plane so it’s much safer to use
The Mig-27 with the laser guided missiles in the hands of a semi-pro player is absolutely awesome, without question! 😃 And, oh yeah, do set up the sight stabilization key bind thingie.😉
Phly you need to try the Jaguar gr1.a as you can do the same thing, just fly over the battle and fire missiles from like 5km away

When diving in with any aircraft you should go to 0% throttle and airbrake out, I recommend that, so you have more time to target different tanks and ect.

@@tozmeister Phly still doesn't know basic things, like the keybinding for track moving targets, or the fact that the minimap lights up red when you are marked on spawn radar. He still doesn't know, AFTER 10 YEARS. So yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Phly knew a lot of things. He's not really the smartest or best war thunder player by any stretch, and thats ok. But don't pretend like he's a god, he kinda sucks.

This plane has been the bane of existence at top tier USA lately. They go to space, fly down just far enough to get a lock, drop their bomb, then climb back up to do it again. Every now and then I can catch one on his way down with a adats missile but other than that I can't touch them.

Kh25ML IRL is NOT meant to be used against vehicles, even less if they are mooving. That weapon is meant to be used against fixed positions like trenches, comand posts, pontoon bridges, parked aircraft, troop concentrations, fuel depots and things of that nature. Of course in WT its used against vehicles and its dificult, the thing is that Soviet doctrine stipulated that vehicle (armor) destruction is in charge of Army aviation (helos) and AT ground weaponry (infantry and vehicle mounted ATGM plus tanks). Finally, the MiG27K its NOT a CAS plane by design, its a fighter-bomber with the best navigation/attack system on any tactical Soviet plane meant mostly for interdiction and pin point strike, much like the US Navy A-7.

yeah this thing is op in sim, especially since the radar of the aa (close range SAM's) is horrible for high altitude stuff
I would say the traditional way is not as comfortable but certainly works. Low altitude, 500kg or 250kg bombs in a MiG-27M or K, doing just over Mach 1 and just destroying anti air before they can even react because you're flying so low and fast you should probably have crashed long ago.
The thing is , it's hard to spot them in war thunder , when ur at high alt enemy Sam will simply fire at u or u can just search for it in ur camera but it's hard when ur low n fast n its wayy to risky after the first pass

One of my favorite thing to do with this plane is to bring some Kh 25ML in air battle with 4 R-60M, you can lock aircraft with the laser and it's VERY situational...but way to funny when it kill

phly A 36 has airbrake on it so it can be used so your wings dont fly off when dive bombing or diving on an enemy

Hey phly or anyone else that reads this. There is currently a memory leak issue affecting some players after the winds of change update. Gaijin of course has said nothing about fixing it and community managers are of course as helpful as always... it’s been an issue for almost a month now and no one is talking about it. If more people know about it we can put more pressure on gaijin to fix it. Any suggestions for solutions are also welcome.

I hate at high tier flares and chaff are virtually useless against ground AA because its point and shoot with modern ground AA instead of locking and firing.
I just found my favorite thing to do in ground RB. Get into 7.7 games with the USA F6F (3.3) fighter and murder jets. That's it. It's hilarious 😂

There is 'swept-back wing' and then there is the Mig-27 at full variable sweep. It's like a greyhound sticking his head out a car window. It's like we're seeing the plane as it sees the stargate at the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey. It's crazy.
It also has that cannon that will wreck the plane when it fires so... additional crazy.
Day 92: Take the Scimitar, the last Supermarine, for a spin. It has quad 30mm, the best tank-busting weapons in the game. It has bombs, the best tank-busting weapons in the game, Bullpups, same, and Sidewinders, also the best tank-busting weapons in the game. It tops that off with British AP rockets, the BEST TANK-BUSTING WEAPONS IN THE GAME.
Day 51: play with any captured tank (E.g. Panther in Russian tech tree or Sherman in Japanese tree) and play as an impostor in the enemy team
