I feel you suffering, I started playing war thunder for the B 29, and now I play it for the P 51. Why? Because bombers are nerfed so much, that either you spend 10 minutes climbing and die from another sweat that did the same or gou die without spending your time climbing. you never get to the target. Fighters are at least satisfactory, and if you want bpth satisfactory and bombing, I would highly recommend the American naval line.
bomber thirst in AB is pathetic. It's basically impossible to play strategic bombers unless you have an escort, even then a drooling console user will follow you across teh map. it's not helped by stupid 'kill a bomber' task. the easiest, least challenging one of them all.
I love when you do bombers..any chance you gonna do lowtier bombers and do bombers vs bombers stuff like the PBM before? That stuff was fun! I recommend try using the KI-21 Shaiza Muzik style (idk how to write it but you know what I mean)

No Shackleton has flown for quite a few years now, last time was in 2007 in the USA I believe. One is technically airworthy in South Africa but isn’t flown due to lack of suitably trained crew and spare parts.
