◆I'm a Japanese train enthusiast and stayed in Europe for about a month this summer.
This time I got to visit many European countries and ride their unique trains.
First, I flew Qatar Airways business class Qsuite from Narita Airport in Japan to Zurich International Airport in Switzerland.

My longest travel time (for work) was 27 hours (Houston, TX, USA, to Perth, Australia...with lay-over in Japan, Narita International Airport). Memories, memories. When you asked on the flight "Is this cheese?" I cried from laughing, because I did exactly the same thing the first time I flew business class with Qatar. I was so tired and exhausted I thought it was cheese and took a big bite........ Not very pleasant.
But dipping bread into the oil, yes, definitely what is meant to be done.
Q Suites are amazing, my humans got to travel with them on a previous trip to the UK. I’ve only flown Singapore Airlines business but I’m hoping to do Qatar Q Suites one day ❤️

I'm excited to see your travels in Europe! Will be very interesting to hear your impression of Europe's rail system versus Japan's. Also had to laugh when you said you "experienced a lot of trouble and chaos" - made me think of the Japanese business men who got trapped in the dresser on Seinfeld.

If you’re eating by yourself, as long as you aren’t disturbing other customers, do whatever you are comfortable with. That being said…
Strictly speaking, when you tear off bread to dip, the piece should be small enough to eat in one bite. There are two reasons for this:
1) When you dip a bigger piece of bread, it will pick up more oil. More oil means it’s more likely that it will drip onto other food or the tablecloth.
2) At some restaurants, they will give one dish of olive oil for the whole table. With a large piece of bread, you will end up double-dipping, i.e., after you take a bite the part that touched your mouth will be touching the communal oil.

I visited Tokyo, Kumakura, Yokohama, Japan in Dec 2007 & April 2015 (Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto). The summer weather in Houston, Texas, USA is hot with high humidity which is from Gulf of Mexico. Usually its summer temperatures i around 35...43oC (90s..102F) depending with high percentage of humidity!

As a European and Croatian I must tell you that prices went up so much and so fast 😢 in whole world,but Europe especially, Switzerland is not part of EU and has been expensive as long as I know for myself 😅😂

I did it once to fly long trip. Sydney->Tokyo->LA->LasVegas->ElPaso. 24 hours flying, 36 hours total between departure and final arrival.

How I wish I could travel lik this! I usually fly Copenhagen-Bangkok, and believe me, for a tall guy, 11 hours in tourist class is not a nice experience!

Kuga! I’ve missed your travels recently. I figured you’d taken a break, or made your promised Europe trip. Happy you went to Europe. Qsuite looks fantastic. That would have been great on my 20+ hour flight to Germany from the USA. I enjoyed using the Eurail Pass to take the trains through Germany, France,Switzerland and Italy. Looking forward to the rest of your adventures.
