You can see how a society that values the simplicity of mutual respect and consideration for others is reflected in how organized and clean each of these spaces are throughout the cabin. Astonishing!
Makes me wonder whether Japan had rampant right-wing anti-vaccine disinformation, and massive conservative protests against elementary protective measures such as mask-wearing, and ignorant reactionary suburbanites deliberately coughing into other people’s face, or whether all of that nonsense we experienced in the U.S.A. was just our own country being dragged down the toilet.
@@kennethwong7748 I'm pretty sure she's just liking how the sound of a train can make people feel relaxed, it can make a person feel drowsy, not such a bad thing
Yes, the gentle rocking is particularly soporific. There's always something special about overnight sleeper trains - I once spent over twenty nights onboard in a month long interail journey around Europe.
12:02 These trains are so gorgeous on the inside, as well as out. So much thought and attention to detail in the color schemes and the lighting. At 14:52 I mean wow! Just look at those look at those beautiful wood floors, the kind of wood that shines like it's glowing. It really is like your in a mobile, upscale hotel, so classy. And this is just the hallway to the rooms and entrance to the train! And it's even nicer and more cozy once you get into your cabin for the night. Japan, on the whole, is just really a class above the rest in anything you all set your mind to do. Bravo! 21:38 Wow, what a beautiful sight...Just want to say thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experiences with us. 😊🙏👍
Kuga-san, thank you for sharing your travels with us~ ☺️🙏 Your videos are always insightful and relaxing, i enjoy them very much! So many places i hope to visit in the future~ 🌸
Incredible courtesy of the local crew & a most comfortable ride on Ginga West - so beautifully remodeled. Appreciate how clean & well-organized Japan is. Thank you for sharing your ride with us on youtube. Thumbs up as always.
Worked 10 years in the past at night-trains. Still I am amazed over this intresting night-train concept. I really want to try my next time in Japan. Arigato Kuga-san for sharing this with us! Your trainmaneger friend in Sweden.
I love riding on night trains. There's something melancholy and romantic about journeying through the dark, especially if you're arriving at your destination in the morning.
The Japanese are so innovative in the use of their railroads; new trains, new routes - often bringing people to lesser known communities and helping them be rediscovered.
I really love the dark walls with the indirect lighting. The whole train is gorgeous! I have really enjoyed watching your videos and I think my favorite ones are the ferries.
Oh thank you so much Mr. Kuga. What a beautiful refurbished train! It looks like it just rolled out of the factory brand new! I love the very classy exterior paint and the interior is stunning. It was also nice to see your reflection in the window of you in action taking the video! I hope you are well and thanks again for your videos! 🙏✌️
The Japanese take pride in everything they do. Just look at how clean this train and the stations are. All japan is like that. No trash, no crime, no mean rude ppl ....just such a beautiful peaceful place. Hats off to the ppl of japan. Top notch all around hands dwn. ...

That was so relaxing to watch. And here in the UK, it's late at night and I''ll go to bed and sleep well. Thanks for the video, I really like watching your channel.
Also in the uk in bed watching 😀 I can’t watch anything stimulating before bed. I’m hopeless at getting to sleep, staying asleep & getting a quality sleep with the correct sequence of types of sleep. I like to watch camping videos, my own idea of that is Premier Inn 😂 . Love the ones in deep snow and bitterly cold weather. But I have to keep the volume low, that dry creak thing snow does underfoot is like nails on a chalkboard to me 😂 Watching videos of people going walking for a day are great too 😀 If only we could get interesting things on tv, instead of the soaps, the tosh such as live island…I’d rather watch a religious channel for 12 hours and I’m atheist 😂
I am always attentive when reports on Japanese trains are featured on TH-cam. And I am still and always admired by the beauty of Japanese trains, by all the little details that are offered to travelers to make their trip more and more enjoyable. It is truly not only great art, but also the mark of a deep respect for travelers. Finally, and this is also a point which is far from being a point of detail, it is the extraordinary cleanliness which seems to be an unwavering line of conduct of the Japanese Railways. I envy you for having such beautiful trains and thank you very much for this wonderful report.
I can't decide which is more relaxing, riding a train in the rain or in the snow. I guess snow doesn't mess up the view out the window at least. (I hope you take some train rides in the show this winter).
A friend of mine and me want to to Japan next year (once the whole Covid situation has hopefully settled down a bit) and he told me that he really wants to ride an Overnight Train. So accidentally stumbling over this video while watching another travel log was such a beautiful coincidence. I really enjoyed the whole video - your commentary, the train itself, the side trips for dinner and breakfast, the calm mood. Thank you for the work that you put into this video. :)
Thank you for every video! Almost midnight here in Europe. Your videos make me relaxed before going to sleep. I can't travel in real life. So I enjoy traveling with you every day 😁

Japan is on another Level. I mean, how neat is it to have a sink at the Train entrance. Would love to have that in my country too. Great video, as always :)
Watching this is what I need after a long busy day. So relaxing. Love your channel Kuga and thanks for taking us with you. I hope to visit Japan and do the same some day. Greetings from The Netherlands.
I’m very surprised then you say that train very popular, but from your video i can see empty train 🚆, and another thing surprised me, on this train no restorane or bar 12h travel time. But train interior looks so beautiful and stylish. Hi from South France. I love traveling in Japan but by car. I lived in Osaka for 6 months and visited Kyoto in Over places around Osaka, beautiful and friendly people and stunning food. Thank you very much for sharing this video with us .
WOW the scenery at Hashigui-iwa is indescribably amazing! Such a beautiful place!! And I was very surprised by how close the train gets to the sea. It’s still beautiful to see, even if there is rain. I’ve only seen the ocean in person once in my life, being from the Midwest. The colors are beautiful.
A wonderful trip, so peaceful. I think I prefer this trip over the ferry trips. This one is very relaxing and not overwhelming with so many options. Arigato gozaimasu Kuga-san for a lovely video.
This train's service is just to next level with relaxing things👌👍. Your videos are really informative hopefully I should be covering all the trains you are showing in your channel.
I don't know how many times I watch your train travel videos, for me it's healing. Thank you so much for sharing your train journey with TH-cam, cheers for another exciting train travel!
So relaxing to watch as I've lunch. I like the blue of the train. No wonder it's so hard to get seats! The scenery, experience, 1,2 hour stops are really worth it! You even have the locals welcome u at the station, that's truly something n nice! Eating udon at midnight, having lovely breakfast the nxt day after Hashigui-iwa rock is wow!Thank you for this video.

OMG that was fukking awesome!!!!!! I'm gonna do this trip (West Express Ginga) thanks to learning about it from your video!!! The most touching part was seeing the local people greeting passengers on the station platforms.
its pretty awesome that your ticket allows you re-entry like that!! as fancy as this train is, I'm genuinely surprised there's no food anywhere. even snacks lol
The lack of food on the train might be intended to stimulate local economies along the route, by encouraging people to buy food locally at the long stops.
Very enjoyable! Like everyone else, I found this so relaxing and pleasant. I really do enjoy your videos; they're not only full of scenery but are informative. I can't wait to travel again in Japan. Thank you for your time and effort.
