Actually the ambien mode on the Crusher ANC sounds really natural but softer than the Hesh ANC, but what I really love about the Hesh ANC ambient is that even tho is amplified it feels great, for me both are great.
No doubt they sound and feel great, that's not the issue. I'm certainly considering a pair for myself over the crushers once my mpows die,... for the money they seem to be a better build. But just knowing that about them gives me pause.

Thank you for this review. It helped me decide which Skullcandy headphones to get and they just arrived in the mail today. In fact I’m just charging them up now but can’t use them as I’m expecting a really important phone all. Your information about anc vs ambient mode was so helpful! Personally I would use them in ambient mode because I prefer to hear a little noise such as a knock on my door or traffic when I’m crossing a road but I was very happy to hear the volume, bass etc was better in ambient mode. Bought them half price, second hand so came with no instructions and would have liked you to explain how to find the Skullcandy app to install on my iPhone but so far this is the best review of the I’ve watched. What's crazy is when entry level headphones are + $100 price tag is the new normal. Also, I'd rather have the amplification on with the anc, and save on power when in ambient mode like how my mpows do it. Unfortunately, Skullcandy got it backwards albeit a minor grievance.

I just got mine and they are great, anyone that has glasses these are approved for you. and me personally the music doesn’t really change for me when switching to anc to non-anc. The only thing abt these is that the ambient is really subtle, but that shouldn’t be a problem for most people.
I’ll add something you may have overlooked. The venue’s biggest weak point is their foam ear cups. After everyday use for 2 years, they have almost completely separated from the headphone body. The foux leather isn’t strongly attached to the plastic shell. I’ve tried super glueing them back on many times but they’re basically done for. Pretty disappointing because they still sound great and everything else works fine. That foam separation definitely takes a toll on the noise cancellation though.
Sweet! Got a hella good deal on these bad boys. Glad I took a gamble because it sounds like I made a good purchase. They’re for my husband, so fingers crossed they’ll fit his ears comfortably.
I returned my son's $100 stealth 600 and bought the Hesh ANC for $100 on sale, he is happy, I play with my Crusher ANC and the thing these 2 headphones have in common is that amazing Ambient Mode, I don't why anyone doesn't talk about that, the ambient is way better than sony, sounds really natural, for some reason they are REALLY REALLY good for gaming.

I have them, love them, better than the Sony headphones that I got a year and a half ago. Best feature is noise cancelling, unreal how good it is. I'm happy overall.
They are very small head friendly. I can barely find headphone due to my head being very small (hats are also hard to find for the same reason). Though I do have small ears so most headphones will fit that part well.

How do the Hesh ANC compare to the JBL Live 650BTNC? I know they're normally different price points, but the 650s are on sale everywhere right now (and have been for a couple of weeks) for the same price as the Hesh ANC.

Oh good. Glad you liked the Heshes over the Venues. Returned my Venues because the swivel joint had snapped, then learned they had discontinued them and got a coupon instead. Man I loved those headphones.

I had a pair of Crusher wireless headphones until most of the plastic broke with good care taken too, not sure I can ever trust Scullcandy again, shame as their headphones sound and look great.
Just a heads up if your trying to connect these to an older device that is below blutooth 5 you will be stuck in "hands free mode", no stereo option as it is greyed out.

About 5 month ago on my birthday i got these after and hour of looking. Amazing headphones my LG Velvet has a built in equalizer. And it also has built in settings like treble bass booster ect i have it set on bass booster but it is absolutely amazing i love it i use it during school. I have music playing 8 hours a day 5 days a week. I listen to music during classes and everything and in the loud hallways i turn my music all the way up it i cant hear a thing. I also use it while making music its a very good studio headphone

With wireless usage, they have a v-shaped sound profile with hard-hitting bass and sparkling highs. With wired usage, the sound profile is no longer determined by the headphones themselves, but rather the device they are connected to. By default (Without me changing my device EQ settings), they have a neutral sound profile. However, I changed my device EQ settings to match how the Hesh ANC sound with wireless usage because I love how they sound with wireless usage, and for latency reasons, I like to have wired usage as an option for PC gaming. Sound profile differences aside though, the Hesh ANC sound better with wired usage (Which will probably be the case for any Bluetooth headphone that comes with an AUX cable as an option, as they do have a wider soundstage and have better clarity with wired usage). Overall though, I'm happy with how they sound.
If you are using your headphones wired on your Windows 10 PC, open up the settings, look for sound settings, and then look for “Device properties” under your speaker setting. After that, you will see a little menu with sound options pop up. Look for “Equalizer” and click on the three dots. Then you will see a graphic EQ menu pop up. I don’t know if these are the exact steps (It has been a while since I used my PC), but they should be close enough.
I own Evo's.. They're awesome in terms of sound and bass.. They do lack ANC though but you don't hear anything when you are listening to music.. And you can connect them to the app and personalize sound as well... So ANC and price are the major factors and if those are not of any concern then Evo's are the best 🔥

I haven't checked noise cancelling of other same budget headphones, but as far as I researched, this is the best among them and very close to Sony's wh-1000xm3. Battery life is really good, I haven't tested fully, but it lasts about 3 days without charge and with ANC always on (I listen to them for about 4-7 hrs a day). My only concern is that it's usually hot where I live, and it gets sweaty once I use these for 45-60 mins, but I think that would happen for all the headphones. I've tested the audio quality a lot of times on online tone generators and it's really good. Really happy.
